Thanks for watching the video Rocksmith 2014 My Chemical Romance - Thank You For The Venom | Rocksmith Gameplay
Okay, after seeing that intro and the solo I'm convinced Frank Iero and Ray Toro just wrote some new Megadeth riffs
At The Gates actually ;)
The solos not hard but that intro is bs lol
I've said for years the intro to Venom is a straight up thrash metal riff ^^^
Honestly the same reaction I had, MCR actually shreds super hard surprisingly, really good song
Yeah honestly, people expect MCR to be like stereotypical emo and crying about some breakup in every song, but honestly if you take the time to listen to them they’ve got some really good songs
The funniest part is they've really only got a few songs that I would really call "emo" in terms of genres (Drowning Lessons and Fashion Statement come to mind), and those are fucking bangers too. Then you go through the rest of their discography and find they've written everything from something that sounds a bit like thrash (Thank You for the Venom) to goth rock (Vampires Will Never Hurt You) to classic rock (like half the tracks on Black Parade) to pop punk (I'm Not Okay) whatever insane cyberpunk Japanese karaoke dance party shit was going on in Danger Days. And it's pretty much all ridiculously well-written.
This is one of my favorite MCR songs because you can really hear Ray Toro’s metal influence.
Aahhhh, love to see this! Fucking ripper of a band, hilarious that metal and punk gatekeepers hate em for not being “legit” enough and suburban moms hate em because the newspapers called them Satanic 🤦♀️🤦♀️ Became a fan myself after they broke up but only cos I’m young, it’s still so awesome to see generations before me discover them now. “Mama” and “Hang Em High” are other BANGERS, but try “The Ghost Of You” if you want to hear something different!
And Frank used to play this song while he was jumping, moving, screaming and more. They are amazing!
Well he's not playing the riff or the solo, he's got it easier but he's still fucking amazing
Mychem actually have some ripping fucking guitar lines. Glad to see them here!
My favourite album from MCR, don’t sleep on more songs from it!
Cemetery Drive is another banger
My favourite album too
MCR the new A7X for YT uploads???
If you can look past the 'waaah emo' stigma of the band, they have a lot of really good technicals in their music. Surprising riffs and solos, really fun to play around with
He’s entered the mcr era lads
People always get surprised because you don't expect MCR to be some insane guitar band after a casual listen - then you sit down and try to actually learn their material and realize there's all these weird chord shapes and little fills and deliberately dissonant sounding things going on in the background to most of their music (that's not even counting the occasional guitar solo or crazy intro riff like this song has). Turns out Ray and Frank were the real deal this whole time.
sight reading Thank You for the Venom is wild dude
Right? He's saying "It's really hard" like we're gonna rag on him but this is legit impressive.
Can’t wait for possibly some more mcr tracks if chat asks for it
Ray and frank I realised were actually crazy guitarists, especially their rhythm sections
This, holy shit ^^^. When I was listening to them as a teenager I had always assumed they were just playing power chords in most of their songs. Then I came back as an adult and started trying to learn their stuff, only to realize there's all these crazy dissonant chord shapes everywhere and my fingers started cramping up 😂
You need to try Bury me in Black by them as well (if available)
Dude I freaking love you for doing this song. My chem has been my favorite band for almost 20 years. And on this record. This might be my favorite song. Even though I'm not okay got me into then first.
I have the game as well and a decent guitar I gotta keep practicing.
Definitely have to check out some more of their stuff.
Please do all MCR Albums. I came back to this video like 15 times already, so good!
I WAS EXPECTING THIS!!! since you did The Fundations....
Fashion Statement next!
i had the same reaction to a different chart last night! What an odd coincidence.
Mine was mostly the same but didnt actually have that Intro riff, maybe it was rhythm.
Either way, those chorus chords are murder on a rusty hand and frankly I sounded god awdul as I fumbled through it.
Thoroughly ahocked at the difficulty
Dude you fuckin NAILED that solo! Well done! I can tell it's hard just from watching the notes, you did great. c:
Please do a Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge album playthrough. You won't be disappointed
Hell yeah!
One of my personal favourite MCR songs along with Cubicles^^
Nostalgia overload... thanks dude!
My favorite from Three Cheers!
shit took me 30 minutes to get down arms hurting lol
Very nice, I look forward to watching these every day
Thought you’d enjoy this one! Thank you!
Their guitarists can actually play when given the chance.
They got kind of lame after this record though there’s a lot of good musicianship hidden in their later.
what you mean, welcome to the black parade fucking shreds as well
