This is my sneaker of the year. It’s a great quality Jordan 4, Close to the original shape, that’s as comfortable as a 990v3. There won’t be a better shoe this year!
I love these personally. As a fan of Jordans and SBs, I think the whole shoe embodies what a Jordan x Nike SB should look like. The gum sole for grip, the suede on the toebox when you flick and I think the green goes great with the gum sole. Entered a few raffles for em but if I don’t hit, I wouldn’t be mad. Great shoe, I hope whoever wants em gets em. Great review as always Sean!
I’ve skated 4’s before and you’d be surprised. They skate really well bc of how the toe cap is shaped. It provides nice flick, great protection of your feet and obviously great looks so how can you not like it? I’m very excited to skate these regardless of price. The colorway is clean so I can’t be too mad at it. I just wish the suede at the toe cap had a turn n stitch styling for it to last longer like SB Dunks

Yeah, I agree the red hints of the Jordan logo and the red bubble are kind of strange to me. Seems to be a Jordan brand thing because of him playing for the Bulls. That being said, these are SOTY so far for me. Jarritos SB Dunks are a close 2nd.

As someone who skates, all my shoes eventually go the way of the skate and these will be no different. Just skated my origin story 1’s and they were some of the best shoes to skate ever.
the forefoot air is removed, it's easy to feel the difference if you take the insole out and check against a normal 4 that has the air. pretty standard SB modification

Got lucky at a local skate shop on my pair. Over the moon as I think this is a super clean color way, with all the right features and pretty cool materials. Being the first J4 SB is the cherry on top. Big time for the toe and collection
If they said it it probably is. It was constructed with that gum sole after all, the soles dont look like a parts bin knock up. My wife thinks the jumpman should have been yellow to compliment the green but I think the jumpman should have been bright white to stand out from the sail. But for sure not green or black.

I'm a skateboarder myself. I honestly never seen someone skate on a J4. I honestly think its a bulky shoe. Is just not quite the feel of it. I've seen people skate on forums ADV, vans, J1s and even sandals and slips ons. I just feel this is too chunky to skateboard on. Puffy is fine but not chunky and bulky. I'll pass on these.
