Aw thanks Debi. I know what you mean. I like to think about that too. The doggie was such a sweet bonus. He really adds to the playful atmosphere around here. 😍✨
There is just something about them all, what a charming dollhall! I am also a caretaker of dolls in sometimes very used conditions, they have so much character and emotional IQ🥰 They have sometimes struggled but they know how to take care of happiness, and they will be very inspirational🐝. I totally understand why she is your favourite💕
Dot, you got the whole gang! I'm glad you didn't leave their pup behind. The Patsy doll is cute, but my favorite is the red headed Nellie. I think the details (teeth and tongue) are alluring. I received my package today, Thank you my friend! The dish is a beauty. I love all the extras: recipes, beads and the lovely card. ☘
Oh good I'm glad you got your package. I hope it was in one piece! SO HAPPY to send it to you. "The gang"! Yes I love it. There's just something about the little redhead girl! 🥰
I couldn't agree more Holly! Dolls that are outwardly in perfect condition while beautiful, make me just a little sad. Pretty sure even the fancy French manufacturers made them to be toys. 😍✨
Interesting to learn all about these babies! Absolutely not a doll fan (they tend to creep me out - to quote one of my granddaughters), but I'm glad that there are people out there who are fans.
Hi Donna. Oh no! I'm sorry they creep you out. I can certainly understand why people feel that way. So kind of you to have a look and comment anyway. 😍✨
Thanks Debbie!😍 The girls and their brothers are happy to be here with their dog. They should brighten up with some cleaning. I never had to bathe 9 children🤣 Even if I only do 7 that will be 3 more than I ever had to do. Lol 😂😍❤️
Wonderful Beth! I would love to hear more about your dolls. I have a few Nancy Anns but I don't have them out. They are in varying shades of disarray. I think the clothes are important for those dolls, right. Mine don't have any original clothes. I am crazy about small dolls! 😍✨
Lovely collection. How lucky to get them for such good prices what a dream. Mohair can be washed and light conditioned and wet set. She needs her hair. Not a new wig . It's so her. What a pretty doll she is
Don't be afraid. Remove her wig gently . Clean glue residue off her head. May have to gently scrape with a xcto knife. Wash wig in gentle soap like baby shampoo. Comb out with wide bristles like a wire pet brush. Starting from ends working your way to the crown. Let dry. When ready to set wet in warm water you can roll on rollers cut from drinking straws. Use hair pins to secure. Light dry with warm hair dryer. Light comb out reglue
Hi Suzanne🤗. Very interesting! I must say I know very little. She has such a pretty face, I know she would like a pretty dress as well. I know some AM dolls are ubiquitous, like mine but I am always attracted to them. 😍✨
What a great haul! I've been collecting tiny bisque dolls for a couple of years but recently I got an 8" Betsy McCall. I love sewing and knitting for my dolls, I think it would be so much fun to have a bigger baby doll to dress!!!
Hi Susan😊 Ooh I'll have to look up Hitty dolls. There's not too many dolls I don't like 😂. I only have the two German bisque dolls house dolls. They are beautiful. I have a book by Genevieve Angione called All Bisque and Half Bisque dolls. I've been poring over it lately. It's quite informative, even if she's a little snarky about the made in Japan market😂 (the book was published 1981, I got it on ebay cheap) 😍✨
The little Dutch boy was made by a company called "Agrespoly"and was made late 50s/early 60's. They were made in Hong Kong, which was still under British rule back then. I collect/restore vintage dolls too! I'm so pleased to find your channel. Best wishes from England.
These dolls are wonderful so many great expressions and for $7.50 each! Wow! You really have great knowledge about the dolls you have. Thank you for all the information. I went on a E-Bay over load last week looking for bisque Nancy Ann dolls and to keep the price low I bid on lots, Now I have many many small dolls in my collection! lol I hope I can room for them all.
Haha. I can relate Vicki. Are bisque Nancy Anns are hard to come by? I really don't have much knowledge, but I have more than I did a year ago! I love looking in books and on websites to learn. I want to know everything about them! I'm very happy with this lot. They seem to really enjoy being together. My own family thinks I've gone bonkers 😍✨
Lovely lot of dolls I wish we had estate sales in the UK funny enough I have some large old dolls coming up too.looking forward to seeing what you do with them x👍😍
Hi D! I didn't realize estate sales are not a 'thing' in the UK. I don't really have a plan for my big dolls, I just enjoy them. I'd like to find/make clothes for them and use them in animations. So much to do, so little time 😂😍✨
@@thedollcupboard oh yes hope you do ,I am going to make clothes for mine but there some repairs to as well ,they were gifted to me by a very special sub so I want them on display in my home .I am sure we will have estate sales eventually as we always follow what goes on in your home land .😊🌺🌺🥰
Hi I'm a new subscriber. Just found your channel. I have been a doll collector for over 30 years and at one time I had a small doll hospital. The doll with the pate has a replaced wig. Perhaps her original wig was mohair. I'm glad to see you have an Armand Marseille doll in this find. That was a great price for her and she is indeed in wonderful condition. I have one like her. Yours has a nice replacement wig and she probably had a mohair wig originally. Nothing wrong with a replaced wig. The mohair just didn't survive well as in your baby doll but I agree with you. I would keep her mohair just as it is. I don't think I would try to clean it or even comb it. I was surprised to see the little composition head doll with the soft body and adorable dress and braids. I have one so similar and when you mentioned Poland I had to look at mine again and sure enough mine has Polland stamped on the back of her leg. I never noticed that before. Thank you for that! Yours has such an adorable apron that I think I will make an apron for mine perhaps out of an old hanky. She has a dress but a pretty apron would really be charming. I got her at a thrift/antique sale for about $4 I think. Mine has mohair blonde braids and a pretty bonnet. If you are interested I can send you a photo by email. I love your treasures. Great finds. Glad you are taking care of these special babies.
Hi Diana🤗 I so enjoyed your comment! I am soaking up all the information I can get. This world is brand new to me! How wonderful you had a doll hospital! I would love to see your Polish doll. I am on Instagram or email dotlikesred@gmail.com. Thank you for sharing your expertise and encouragement! 🥰
Hi River🤗 I'm so happy you're here! Please visit any time. Lately I've been focused on my dolls house but to me it's all connected. Feel free to share about your collection! 😍✨
She is definitely a patsy knock off. There are many. She is still cute. I havecmy grandmother's patsy. Trying to find appropriate clothes for her. Style year wise.
So much fun learning about something new! They all have stories to tell. The little dog is wonderful!❤️🇨🇦
Was your doggy the same brand Laura? I think he's pretty wonderful. I'm hoping to train him to land 2 flips. 😂😍✨
Wow these are incredible. So vintage ❤
I love my dolls so much. It’s so weird how we sometimes change our paths mid life to a path we’ve never taken before. 😍✨
@@thedollcupboard Well said! I'm actually doing the same thing now that I've hit 30. I want to pull a 180 and live my childhood dreams.
Your dolls are so stunning and just fun. Thank you, Deanna. I love to think of the little people who have loved them so. And that cute doggie!
Aw thanks Debi. I know what you mean. I like to think about that too. The doggie was such a sweet bonus. He really adds to the playful atmosphere around here. 😍✨
I am so happy you are saving these dolls. ❤.
Not sure my husband and boys would say the same Tina 😂😍

Thanks for stopping by Suzanne. 😍✨
That bisque doll is so interesting! I didn't know they made dolls with leather bodies! ❤️
It was quite common as I understand. My other bisque doll has a fully composition body. 😍✨
Wow, those are amazing, it intrigues me how vintage they are.
It's quite incredible to think about it! 😍✨

I was so lucky to get this lovely group! Oh dear I would be too afraid to tackle that mohair. You are so right that it suits her! I just love her 😍✨

Note. DO NOT use cold water on mohair it will felt. Use very warm to kettle hot water.
Your beautiful Armand Marseille has a wonderful body type that I've never seen before! Nice!

Thank you for sharing. I collect Hitty dolls from a maker in WA state. Just started collecting German bisque dollhouse sized dolls. Happy collecting!

@@thedollcupboard ❤️. I sent photos of the doll via instagram message. If you didn’t get it I will send it again to your email🥰
Yes he's a Dutch doll. I looked it up and the men had plack clothes and black hats. And they had chaines on their choulders. Smaller of course.
Interesting Maria I wonder what the chains represent. 😍✨
@@thedollcupboard I don't know. Maybe for tools but they were very thin.....hmm🤔
I like all the dolls, but Patsy is my favorite.
She's pretty cute. I like the little dress I put on her and her cute flirty eyes. 😍✨
I'm a new subcriber here and just wanted to let you know I love your content!!! I have a massive doll collection as well.

I think the dog is a Max Carl wind-up dog.
It is!
The little dog is so sweet!❤❤❤. What is his name?😊😊
Oh no! I'll have to ask the dolls! 🤣😍✨
You could probably find out how to deal with mohair
I read some different things but still sounds like a bit of skill is involved. Plus I love her just how she is 😍✨

Wow that's fantastic you found her. Please tell me how to find era appropriate clothes. It's hard! 😆
