I loved Alex Approximately! I read it in summer 2020 when there wasn't many places to go, so it was great to live vicariously through characters and experience a beach town. I love beachy towns (as I lived in a landlocked area) & enjoyed the setting. I also think the book did a good job exploring how they helped each other with their past traumas. I wasn't expecting it to have that, and it gave Porter & Bailey more depth and helped them understand each other beyond movies.

I just started watching your channel & searched for this review because I LOVED darling venom. I recently read the words we keep by Erin Stewart & it has a similar mental health aspect like DV. I 100% recommend this book if you loved DV!! Also, love your channel & reading w you ❤️

There’s two other series prior to butterfly. That’s probably why it was confusing. You have to start with the ethic series.
thats so weird cos i loved the start of alex approximately a lot more than the ending ahahaha but for some reason this always happens to me in romance books. maybe cos i enjoyed the setting like beach, surfing and i didnt mind the museum. also the chemistry between porter and bailey was really fantastic which made me like it a lot more but the ending is definetly a bit dissapointing. I feel like the author couldve wrapped it up a lot better.

the order def does matter with some of them! id read them in the order that it says in the front of the books (:
i didn't enjoy butterfly either! i felt like there wasn't a lot of character building and the plot was confusing
if you haven't read moth to a flame or the ethic series then that's probably why u were confused , u have to read those before u read the butterfly series

yes its worth it! just very predictable
i only have a couple five star reads and alex approximately is one of mine. I think you should give it a try.
