This is definitely the cinematic equivalent of passing the torch... and dropping the torch by accident, setting the place on fire and burning everything within sight to the ground.
But if the first responders acted like Sony is acting to the negative response, it would be like the first responders showing up, NOT trying to put out the fire, but, instead complaining that the REAL reason for the fire was not that somebody dropped the torch, but rather that someone had the gall to build the place out of combustible materials.
So many movies getting ripped off in the leaked email proposal; men in black, the Mask, shocker, close encounters, the 2nd scooby doo movie, etc. Seems like a kind of effective way to destroy a franchise. A great shame since I really liked ghostbusters (the original).
I know right? Well i refuse to watch the new Ghostbusters movie anymore. Next time it comes on, no matter how loud my wife plays it, i will cover my eyes so i won't have to hear it (like Chris the receptionist).
Of course it isn't hard. Hollywood did it for decades before this cancerous PC/SJW nonsense came on the scene. It's just amazing to see the lengths they will go to and depths they'll sink to, in order to defend such trash, despite its overwhelming failure on every level- financial, cultural, political, etc.. They've only succeeded in creating warped abominations, that can't stand on their own merit, but have to leech off of and destroy a once healthy host.
@@Popdaddy88 They did it but not to that extend we see now. The majority still wants male leads instead of females and I simply don't understand why. What is the big deal of a woman being in a lead role in a movie like James Bond (and no hold your horses, I'm not saying they should cast a woman for James Bond, I'm talking about the genre). I think it's a toxic mindset of those producers who think women aren't as capable as men in certain roles, I don't have another explanation otherwise. Otherwise I completely agree with you. This whole "women MUST BE the leading role" and not coming up with new material for them but rather make remakes of already existing movies/games/etc. 1 to 1 instead of trying something new in that given world begins to infuriate me.
LordofSadFace it could be or it could turn out good. It really depends how its written. One thing that’s good that came out of this is that Pascale ate shit for the 2016 ghostbusters travesty.
Feminists excel at hijacking products made by Men while regarding said Men as unfit to helm their products...unless it's delicate petunias like Paul Feig.
So basically Sony hires a guy “who’s in touch with his feminine side” and great at making chick flicks to make a sci-fi action/comedy flick and expected it to be as successful as the other movies in the franchise....righttttt 🙄🙄🙄
@@shadowspider9 Paul Feig's mom was definitely extremely overbearing. His mother possibly was expecting and hoping for a girl, and was disappointed when he was born. She probably treated him like a girl, and filled his head with constant bashing of males. He probably has alot of self-hatred about his gender. Either that, or he's just a big mangina. It's probably a mix of alot of things
Spy (2015) wasn't a bad film and I'd recommend it to this day. However, I will never see Ghostbuster's 3 because insulting me - that ends any freaking possibility I'll buy your product. Feig is dead to me, from this point forward, no matter what he does, so are all the people that were involved with this film. Play stupid marketing games, win a boycott.
They don't understand that you have to appeal to existing fans and new fans when making a sequel to such a franchise. In the end the pleased almost nobody.
This shows Sony like most companies use force to get their own ways. They make movies to pander to the flavor of the week instead of making movies people of any gender, race etc want to watch. People need to shut up about sexism and just make movies people want to watch.
LOL right? A sissy that got beat up all the time for acting like a girl, and a poducer hell bent on social justice. They deserved what they got, and Fieg deserved every beating he ever got. #GoWokeGoBroke
Because Reitman wasn't thinking the same thing that Pascal was -- which was to turn Ghostbuster's into a pro-feminism agenda film in the vein of her passion project Glass Ceiling. Reitman wanted a team of both men and women working together that followed GB2 years later directed by the guys that did the Lego movie. Pascal wanted a total reboot with all women with Feig. Reitman never had a chance.
More like the bootleg of a bootleg For example: in NYC we have a department store called cee cee which is pretty much a bootleg of let's say, homegoods. The bootleg of the bootleg brand cee cee would be bee n bee. Which we have. Then at the bottom we have literally see n see🙄. In short: George Lucas=homegoods Kathleen Kennedy: Cee n Cee Pasqual: see n see
Wait... so let me get this straight: *The villain of the movie, is a guy who's been bullied and mistreated his entire life for being different (by "evil and oppressive men" obviously) which causes a lack of (male)human-bonding that results in him plotting his vengeance against the entire world for it... and only a group of strong, capable, and intelligent women can stop him since all male side-characters are jerks, or too stupid and inept to do anything about it (obviously) and the climatic battle shows one of these fearless women doing a photon-cannon groin-shot that contributes greatly in the villain defeat*... Hmm okay... Anyone else feels that this character is somewhat of an extension of the director of this movie? Fuck... Any analogies are pretty much pointless by now...
Well, some directors DO love getting back at their detractors in the form of clever cinematography or script writing. So it's not that far out there. XD XD XD
It's not "attacking fans" to them. It's "attacking all the haters out there." They truly live in a delusional world, and they are trying to pull us into it.
I know it's easy to say _"Give the film a chance, it might surprise you"_, like some people say, but here's the thing: this movie has all the signs that not even the production team has faith in it. To wit: - The film's trailers and TV spots rely heavily on bad slapstick and yelling as their humor - They feel the need to wallow in controversy to remind people of this film's existence - The leaks confirm the production is a mess and no one is interested in paying respect to the franchise - There's a review embargo until release day (never, _ever_ a good sign) - The promotions for this film are just sad. "Buy the game and get the movie for free". "Buy these puddings and get a free ticket!". It's like they're desperate for people to see the movie.
To add, you get a free movie ticket. It's funny if you look at the wording, it does not say you have to see Ghostbusters, it says movie and it only has the picture of the ghostbusters. That really shows a lack of faith in the movie.
Indeed, and at least there is the 2009 video game as it pretty much is the original Ghostbuster 3 pitch realized. I can vouch for it, solid game, go grab a copy.
I like the sound of both 'Hellbent' and the one about time, height, length and width. Sounds cool, would have been interesting to see what they could have pulled off with it.
Last jedi was a decent rian Johnson film and a weak star wars film. For every "broom kid holds broom like lightsaber" theres an immersion shattering yo momma joke. I think people would enjoy it more if it was detached from the expectations of the franchise.
People need to lower their expectations, and just enjoy the ride. These are sequels that were made 40+ years later. It's astounding that they happened at all, and were even remotely decent. They got the band back together in a pretty big way, whereas we used to get godawful sequels like Teen Wolf Too.
@@neutraltoxic For every? There are a few annoying moments. The movie got way more right than it got wrong. It's a well-made SW flick, and for a sequel 40 plus years out, they got the band back together pretty well for these flicks, all things considered. Watch the making of stuff on the DVD/blu-ray. There's a lotta good, and a lotta care was put into it. I was born in 1977, and I don't understand how some people were so butthurt by these movies. I love the OT but they're films, and they're not perfect. Very few are. It's a pretty big feat when they're even at least just decent. Especially these kinds of flicks. There was no way that any director who made these movies would please everyone. Even if Lucas was at the helm (even though several of his ideas did end up in the prequel trilogy, even if they weren't directly from his mind). And I know the prequels have become inexplicably super divisive in the last few years, but the sequels ironically have more overall classic Star Wars adventure and excitement feel than the largely boring, soulless doldrums of the prequels.
They've done more than just dismiss legitimate criticism. They've been taking down anything in their comments section that *isn't* trolling. They probably want to have claims of misogyny to fall back on when it flops.
+MonochromeTrouble Nah, it will likely become a laughing stock similar to what happened with George Lucas' RED TAILS; it was even the same kind of guilt- tactic marketing only replace #sexism with #racism. Watch *redlettermedia*'s half in the bag episode where they review RED TAILS and see if you can draw parallels with GHOSTBUSTERS 2016.
So the movie is getting good reviews despite the fact that nearly everyone that goes to see it is reporting that it sucks. Sounds like Sony is paying off the critics again.
Schrödinger Nah (about SONY paying off critics), I think the critics like it because of "girl power"; trust me, SONY already did something scandelous critic wise back in the late 90s (having a fake nonexistent critic give their films positive reviews) and they got in trouble for that, and that is the last thing they want considering their mediocre handling in the film business as of recent.
At least she's not being crucified as the devil incarnate like KK (yet)? People need to chill - yes, these people are destroying our childhood franchises, but it isn't anything that someone with some semblance of common-sense or original vision can't fix. We are not yet at the point of no-return. o.0
I remember when I saw the trailer for the first time. I was like that’s not Ghostbusters. It’s not some slapstick piece of crap. And speaking as a woman the gender of the ghostbusters has nothing to do with it.
You’d think they hate women w how awful these movies turn out and especially the all women cast for putting them through production hell and all the backlash for even being in these god awful movies if I was a woman or especially a feminist I’d be disgusted by these tools
Hollywood always projects unto their audience how they feel about society. It's surreal how leftist "progressives" were successful in conning generations of women into embracing 40+ hour work weeks instead of the objectively easier lifestyle: Housewives and mothers.
I kid you not. I paused this video and decided to check on Ghostbusters Trailer with Sony. Turns out my comment from March was deleted. I was rather kind to the trailer though I said I didn't love it but gave it a like and wondered if the future trailers would improve. So yes, Sony is deleting comments that are not hostile hate yet not total love for the movie. I know some people are skeptics so I'm just leaving this here. Thanks for all the info in this video and it's sad Sony used Ghostbusters this way. Sigh.
Yep my coment was removed aswell. But mine was of a "I hope. With alllll my childhood loves this is good cause the trailer made my belly drop like i was going over a roller coster with a bad report card on way to my parents to get signed.".
Did anyone think that this was that bad as everyone said it was I don't think so I just think it could have been a little bit maybe he's maybe the script could have been written better maybe they could have chosen some better actors maybe be maybe a better director I don't know
Not to be defending Sony here, but comment can be removed for many reasons. Seeing your comment removed does not necessarily means it was censored by Sony. - Users could have decided to flag it, which could lead youtube to remove it - TH-cam algorythm can have a hickup and decide your comment does not follow the guidelines and remove it - There could have been a bug - You could have forgotten to press 'send' after sending it - It could have been removed by the channel owner (Sony in this case). So yeah, while it is possible that Sony removed your comment like you said, there is unfortunately no way for you to know. I think you are jumping to conclusions to fast, showing your lack of understanding of the way the comment system works on this website. I am not doubting your post. Just that you assumed too fast it was Sony's doing. It could be. It could also be 10 different other reasons. (And to be 100% clear, I am not an apologist for this movie, I found it extremely bland, boring and a waste of time).
so wokebusters failed? no wonder why... next time they shouldnt focus in pushing their sexual traumas and hates, instead they should produce a fun movie.
I had mixed feelings but mostly on the negative side when I found out about this movie. But now after this video I am truly baffled. What Amy and Fieg have done is unacceptable.
23:51 Am I the only one who HATES this "Video goes viral overnight!" trope? You know how insanely hard it is for a new video on a small channel to just get extremely famous? It's right next to impossible! And yet there are so many movies and shows that use it. *Stop it Hollywood, it's not clever, it's unreal.*
Wow, Ivan Reitman and Dan Ackroyd's version sounded so good. Such a shame to hear what could have been. Curious what will happen to Sony once this universe fails to launch.
Given that it basically became "Ghostbusters: The Video Game" it was good. If the game followed exactly Ackroyd's original Hell Bent script, then Gozer comes back but get's taken over by Ivo Shandor, who then becomes the architect. But the Ghostbusters think that Walter Peck is the real mastermind behind everything. Loved the game, and it did pick up the idea of franchising at the very end.
Huh.Sounds like Rowan reflects Feig: a wierd guy who's been bullied all his life, is completely obsessed with a group of women he barely knows, and learns his powers not through his own genious or efforts or connection to the supernatural, but by ripping off people he shows no respect for dispite the fact that they're better at it than him.

They're doing the exact same thing with Captain Marvel. They're labeling any criticism or general dislike of the movie as sexist and misogynist. Such a disgusting tactic.
It's all communist tactics. Seize the means of production, deconstruct individualism/Liberty, demoralize the population into embracing collective destruction by way of Marxism and Feminism; fortunately these tactics never work precisely due to humans being innately rebellious to authority.
Is Amy Pascale and Kathleen Kennedy twins or something??? Cause they seem to have the same goal and stupid ideas to ruin beloved franchises the same way.
The entire concept sucks. The original 80s Ghostbusters is the only one that matters. Sequels and remakes are insulting to anyone who grew up in the 80s with eyes, ears, and a good brain. Like me, per se.
Why are you even watching this movie? it's a Childrens movie for girls... seriously, you need to grow up, old man. It's quite gross that you're so upset about a chilrens fun, comical ghost movie. And sure, it's something to do with a movie you loved as a kid. But you're not a kid anymore. Right?
Corrderio - I wish she never did that. I never saw the GB 2016 movie, but liked that her character was getting more positive things says about during reviews. Then she went nuts about GB3... It’s okay to defend your work, but damn she went about it wrong way. Almost like she refuses to understand why majority of the public didn’t want to see GB 2016 in the first place, and why people are excited about GB3.
Imagine the outcry from feminists if you remake a popular female-led action movie, eg Charlies Angels; or even a period drama like Downton Abbey, replaced the female characters with men, and all you had was toilet humour filling it from start to finish. Well that's what this was, except the farts came from the front.......
same with comic book characters atm, lets black them up, make the gay, or make the lesbian women. But the moment you want a male to be straight, they attack you
One of my favourite movies is Kill Bill. Imagine if they did a remake of Kill Bill and made the Bride the Groom instead and made O'Ren Ishii a man. I would be fuming.
What do you guys think about Paul Feige addressing some of these e-mails in recent interviews? According to him Ivan was the one who contacted him for the film and was heavily involved. He makes it sound that Amy and Ivan were weren't in any sort of disagreement. The story he's selling is that that Ivan and Sony thought his spin on the franchise was good and they approved it. But there's no mention of Ivan originally looking for Phil Lord and Chris Miller to direct and produce. In fact these e-mails clearly show that he never even looked for Paul in the first place. He also keeps insisting that Sony had wanted to make this movie for so long and he's just simply hired to do it. There's also no reference to ''Glass Ceiling'' or Amy Pascal's adamant interest to make a female centered franchise. For the looks of it Paul seem's to playing the victim here by twisting the truth of how certain things went down. Again he has openly discussed a lot of the leaks documented in these videos, but none of it lines up with his version of the story.
The recent interviews are pure damage limitation, because they see now that their "anyone critical is a misogynyst" strategy has failed. The leaked emails, the actual historic documents, tell a very different tale than the one he tries to spin, which we very well might devote a video to.
Midnight's Edge Do you think there will be a dark age of *non-MARVEL / non-DC / non-DISNEY* movies, considering the abysmal domestic performances of movies this year?
+Brandon Dozier It still galls me the only movies that did okay this year were either Disney movies, or a fucking Fox movie starring Deadpool of all people. I love those flicks, don't get me wrong, but fuck if it's kind of sad when Disney and Fox are wiping their asses with the competition.

There's a very slim chance you'll survive. Though crossing the streams proves successful when there's no other choice. So maybe having the streams crossed on Feig and Pascal both.

omgitsmikegravel look people don't want the reboot to be made and they feel like it is hurting a important part of their childhood. The trailer, the actions of Sony and yes the things said by Paul Feig made the situation worse. But I agree,no one can fully judge a movie till they see it but we can still judge the actions of its creators who went out of their way to paint older fans of the movies or even the show as sexist when they criticized the trailer to what looks like a bad movie. They made this into a see it/Like the trailer or you're sexist movie and they are part of the reason I don't want to see the movie.
+omgitsmikegravel - *"Okay, did somebody actually DO something to you?"* People have been publicly shamed for having an honest opinion, the most prominent example being the attacks on the Angry Video Game Nerd (and his wife for some bizarre reason) by journalist, the Tumblrazzi and Twitter mobs. I hope it's not necessary to explain why this is a bad thing +omgitsmikegravel - *"How can you have an honest opinion about a movie no one has seen."* This seems disingenuous at best. I would be surprised if you yourself haven't at some point said aloud, "that (insert movie name) trailer was crap, there is no way I'm seeing that." The difference being in this case we're dealing with a movie company smart enough (unscrupulous enough?) to use politics to simultaneously market their movie and demonize any detractors. They've even given themselves a sort blanket indemnity: if the movie is a disaster at the box office blame misogyny. Pure Machiavellian genius. +omgitsmikegravel - *"This could be the worst movie ever, and SONY could have edited it into a more exciting trailer if they wanted to. The fact that they didn't can be seen as a sign of confidence."* This makes no sense. +omgitsmikegravel - *"They been trying to preemptively undermine someones work before anyone can see it, and then, because they're assholes, they respond to criticism by acting like they're the injured party, that this is being done to them."* Who's the nebulous 'they' you're invoking here? Are people who take to the internet to voice their displeasure at other trailers guilty as well, or is there a special place in hell for people who criticize **this** trailer and refuse to see **this** movie? +omgitsmikegravel - *"And that's my honest opinion."* Well done.
Actually sounds like, despite him being made out to be the villain of this story, Ivan Reitman would've saved the Ghostbusters franchise from this mess it turned out to be.
@@nifralo2752 Pales in comparison to the original, but it is still an enjoyable movie in it's own right with some flaws here and there. Besides, it gave us Vigo *ahem* VIGO THE CARPATHIAN! I know someone who was an extra in the cafe/diner scene. He said it took over twelve hours to shoot because there was no script. They just sat there ad-libbing until they thought they had something funny in the can. Extras actually left the set on breaks because they couldn’t handle anymore of the cringe/unfunny and tiresome drag it was becoming with every passing minute
19:37 Why the hell didn’t Sony choose that idea to start over the female one, I’m not a sexist but Christ Pratt and the Russo brothers that’s a lost oportunity
Javier Lozano Guiler - not sure, but I theorize that it’s mostly because of Pascal. She seems to have been too obsessed with her all female superheroes idea that it nearly ruined the GB franchise. She was in a high enough position at the time to claim her ideas were the better route to take, and Ramis’ death was more of an opportunity for her obsession rather than the tragic death of a great artist.
I've actually read fan-ficition far superior to this script but in Sony's infinite wisdom this was the best way to proceed with a modern day Ghostbusters movie. We can only hope this movie flops so bad that Sony are too afraid to pull any shit like this ever again.
So basically Amie Pascal is why The Ghostbusters bombed. I was fine with all female Ghostbusters. But that movie was compleat crap. Don’t pander or have an agenda man... just make a good movie.
I just have to say, THANK YOU Midnights Edge, for telling me the plot so that, in the unlikely event that anyone should force me to watch this garbage, I can say, NO, I ALREADY KNOW IT'S TERRIBLE. Just listening to the condensed version of the plot was a torment, I can't imagine how unfunny and agonizing it would be to watch the whole thing in real time. The horrible cameos, the way men are portrayed in an all negative light, the pathetic way they are trying to make it more social media friendly (the youtube thing), the villain and his moronic backstory and motivation, Chris Hemsworth being just used as "mancandy" (which women constantly criticize when it's a woman being used in such a way in other movies), THE FEMALE SLIMER, etc. Holy lord what a f*****g nightmare...
Excellent video. You guys truly take TH-cam journalism to the next level. That plot synopsis gave me cancer though. Did they keep the military doing a music number? Because I don't think even the most loyal defenders of the movie can excuse that level of disdain from a film to an audience.
You would think that SONY would have attempted some kind of last minute reshoots to change the plot a bit just so that they could call the critics "liars"... But that would be too smart for SONY
to me Ghostbusters 3 will always be the 2009 videogame, that is the true sequel in my head. So far, every stupid idea that was in the script that was leaked by someone involved in the production has come true, down to the ridiculous fight with the logo at the end.
4 years later: Ghostbuster's: Afterlife comes into view. Although not the greatest, the Ghostbuster fans flock to it and PROVE that Ghostbuster support is strong but some critics go salty because they don't like the film and they backed the wrong horse.

Feig dogged a bullet. The summer his movie was released police officers were being murdered in the streets and troops were fighting overseas. The fallout would have ended the careers of anyone involved.
I’m not saying my actual opinion this movie but I will say that it probably would have been better off as its own franchise about Female paranormal investigators and not a ghostbuster reboot
Yea. I like the 'goverment cover-up' part & the idea with using lay lines but this was a total Hyper bomb of BS. There was very little real haha humor. The only thing i laughed at was bill Murrys character getting blasted out the window. Other than that i wanted to shoot myself for watching it.
The script had promise, but NOT for a Ghostbusters movie. Maybe a whole new franchise "The Tinfoil Hat Agencey" or something. But the "you must be sexist if you don't like it, since the leads are women" thing, on-top of completely trampling the franchise canon, yeah, not going to watch it, don't need to!
I have good news: Jason Reitman (Ivan Reitman’s descendant) Will make a movie called: Ghostbusters Afterlife which is a direct sequel to the 80s movies instead of the reboot and have new actors. This upsetted Leslie Jones who played Patty Tolan in the reboot, she made a tweet about it

Amy Pascal had no idea what she was doing. It really would have been better to have the original GB pass the torch. It sounds like the original idea would have been better.
Is Sony just desperate to throw anything together these days? I make music video mashups in my free time but I take greater care than this film company does judging from how they had to reboot Spiderman twice now!
Really appreciate the lack of editorializing in these videos! There's so much opportunity to inject your own opinion and the fact that you are able to refrain is refreshing. Kudos.
This is definitely the cinematic equivalent of passing the torch... and dropping the torch by accident, setting the place on fire and burning everything within sight to the ground.
Yeah but if they had a first response team then the firefighters could put out the fire real fast.

It was garbage... but it *did* somehow rake in $229 million dollars...
This shows Sony like most companies use force to get their own ways. They make movies to pander to the flavor of the week instead of making movies people of any gender, race etc want to watch. People need to shut up about sexism and just make movies people want to watch.
so in short pascal, and Feig tried to fix what wasn't broken

We literally have zeroed in on the death of Hollywood and the pro-feminist/minority agenda move within it.
Feminism is closed-minded?
@@LiberalSquared Feminism isn't close minded. Amy Pascal's IDEA of feminism is.
Why would you push away Reitman ??
That guy knows comedy and Ghostbusters.
When people like Feige and Pascal plan to push an agenda, expect honest men to pay the price.
He is a roadblock to their crappy vision of Ghostbusters.
feminism
He is a great comedic director.
So Amy Pascal is the Dollar General version of Kathleen Kennedy.
@Cupcake Intake Damn, bruh! Why gotta do Amy Pascal like that? 😂 🤣💀
Yeah, at least Dollar General still have brand name items you can get in any other store
More like the bootleg of a bootleg
For example: in NYC we have a department store called cee cee which is pretty much a bootleg of let's say, homegoods. The bootleg of the bootleg brand cee cee would be bee n bee. Which we have. Then at the bottom we have literally see n see🙄.
In short: George Lucas=homegoods
Kathleen Kennedy: Cee n Cee
Pasqual: see n see
Yeah good comparison I think, Kendo 2
No, Amy Pascal is Satan incarnate, she's the one who wanted to remove Spider-Man from the MCU

I know it's easy to say _"Give the film a chance, it might surprise you"_, like some people say, but here's the thing: this movie has all the signs that not even the production team has faith in it. To wit:
- The film's trailers and TV spots rely heavily on bad slapstick and yelling as their humor
- They feel the need to wallow in controversy to remind people of this film's existence
- The leaks confirm the production is a mess and no one is interested in paying respect to the franchise
- There's a review embargo until release day (never, _ever_ a good sign)
- The promotions for this film are just sad. "Buy the game and get the movie for free". "Buy these puddings and get a free ticket!". It's like they're desperate for people to see the movie.
Sometimes you just gotta be picky with movies.
You forgot to mention the horrible song they just put out, featuring the awkward and not-exactly-relevant duo of Fall Out Boy and Missy Elliot.
To add, you get a free movie ticket. It's funny if you look at the wording, it does not say you have to see Ghostbusters, it says movie and it only has the picture of the ghostbusters. That really shows a lack of faith in the movie.
Wait there's a review embargo for this film?
Venom3254 Yes, it's up until release day in the UK (which is the 11th).
That Ghostbusters III movie sounded awesome.

Ah, Amy Pascal. The Kathleen Kennedy of Sony. And Paul Feig, the Rian Johnson of Sony. So much for Girl Power.
Larry Lee Moniz go go power simpers
Yawn. Except that Last Jedi was a good movie and Ghostbusters 2016 was trash.
Watch *redlettermedia*'s half in the bag episode where they review RED TAILS and see if you can draw parallels with GHOSTBUSTERS 2016.
hopefully when it flops SONY will sell the franchise to someone who can make a good movie out of it like what they did with spiderman.
+ΝΙΚΟΣ ΝΙΚΟΣ They still own Spider-Man film rights, but MARVEL has creative control over the main Spiderman films as of now.
So..we all can blame Amy Pascal for that travesty..figures.
At least she's not being crucified as the devil incarnate like KK (yet)? People need to chill - yes, these people are destroying our childhood franchises, but it isn't anything that someone with some semblance of common-sense or original vision can't fix. We are not yet at the point of no-return. o.0
except people with common sense never wanted to TOUCH it to begin with. why try to fix what isnt broken?
the only way to fix such mess, is to re-do it, scrap it all, delete it, condemn it as a 'mistake', and then start again from beginning.

Sigh.

Not to be defending Sony here, but comment can be removed for many reasons. Seeing your comment removed does not necessarily means it was censored by Sony.
- Users could have decided to flag it, which could lead youtube to remove it
- TH-cam algorythm can have a hickup and decide your comment does not follow the guidelines and remove it
- There could have been a bug
- You could have forgotten to press 'send' after sending it
- It could have been removed by the channel owner (Sony in this case).

Companies do such *spin pieces* all the time to denounce any warning signs of a movie's quality.
The recent interviews are pure damage limitation, because they see now that their "anyone critical is a misogynyst" strategy has failed. The leaked emails, the actual historic documents, tell a very different tale than the one he tries to spin, which we very well might devote a video to.

I'm not even into Ghostbusters but I agree 100%
omgitsmikegravel look people don't want the reboot to be made and they feel like it is hurting a important part of their childhood.
+omgitsmikegravel - *"Okay, did somebody actually DO something to you?"*
People have been publicly shamed for having an honest opinion, the most prominent example being the attacks on the Angry Video Game Nerd (and his wife for some bizarre reason) by journalist, the Tumblrazzi and Twitter mobs. I hope it's not necessary to explain why this is a bad thing
+omgitsmikegravel - *"How can you have an honest opinion about a movie no one has seen."*
This seems disingenuous at best.
The fact that they didn't can be seen as a sign of confidence."*
This makes no sense.
+omgitsmikegravel - *"They been trying to preemptively undermine someones work before anyone can see it, and then, because they're assholes, they respond to criticism by acting like they're the injured party, that this is being done to them."*
Who's the nebulous 'they' you're invoking here? Are people who take to the internet to voice their displeasure at other trailers guilty as well, or is there a special place in hell for people who criticize **this** trailer and refuse to see **this** movie?
+omgitsmikegravel - *"And that's my honest opinion."*
Well done.
“It’s been 30 years since there was a ghost was seen”
Happy Ghostbuster fan noises
Actually sounds like, despite him being made out to be the villain of this story, Ivan Reitman would've saved the Ghostbusters franchise from this mess it turned out to be.
he actually had good casting calls and knew the exact right people to call. Paul... not so much
That s why GB2 is a Godfather 2 like master peice right?
@@nifralo2752 it's hard to pull off sequels but c'mon you think his version would be worse then the one we got?
@@shawnmcdoge2215 it never have been as good as the original it was doomed to disappoint
@@nifralo2752 Pales in comparison to the original, but it is still an enjoyable movie in it's own right with some flaws here and there. Besides, it gave us Vigo *ahem* VIGO THE CARPATHIAN! There we go....and as shawn murray said earlier, how could Reitman's version have been worse than what Paul ended up doing?
Ernie Hudson loans a car.
Dan Akroyd drives a taxi
Bill Murry kills himself
Great use of a classic cast...
You forgot Harold Ramis's gold Bust, the best of the cameos.
Mmmm...I still think the video game was the true Ghostbusters 3 at this point.
if you mean the one from 2009 in wich the player is the rookie, then i completely agree.
@@michaelwautraets7126 Yep, that's the one. Not the sanctum of slime and not the one based on the newer movie.
I agree to me that's Ghostbusters 3 the new one coming out would be Ghostbusters 4 lol
This is the truest statement anyone has said about anything regarding modern Ghostbusters.
This will be the end of Feig's movie career
Yep he's is full of shit.
He's gonna get Josh Trank'd.
I hope. Everyone can make mistakes, in this case, a bad movie, but saying crap and complain of the constructive criticism is something we can't allow
thank fuck for that
also nice user name. good to see someone else who loves that game.
Has Pascal ever made a good decision?
Leaving the CEO position in Sony.
She didn’t leave out a 4th floor window so no.
That Feig script idea sounds so fucking bad ; it sounds like horrible fan fiction.
Which is essentially what this new movie is.
I've actually read fan-ficition far superior to this script but in Sony's infinite wisdom this was the best way to proceed with a modern day Ghostbusters movie. We can only hope this movie flops so bad that Sony are too afraid to pull any shit like this ever again.
I have read some Prequel Star Wars FF´s too...What wonders can careful consideration for Characters, Plot and Story do when written not in haste.
^ I wish George Lucas got that memo.
I SO GLA I NO WATCH DIS FLM.
- My opinion in Sony executive language.
This was one of the WORST movies I've ever seen as a fan of the the original GB this move was pure BLASPHEMY!!!!
So basically Amie Pascal is why The Ghostbusters bombed.
I was fine with all female Ghostbusters. But that movie was compleat crap. Don’t pander or have an agenda man... just make a good movie.
Paul Feig's ideas are terrible, makes the second movie seem genius.
That is something very hard to do
Paul Feig’s detailed plot synopsis was so laughably bad and it pretty much all ended up onscreen
Bare hyggelig.
@Renate sætre I love you.
Thanks, much appreciated;p
At least crap of this level back in the 80's and 90's gave us some boobs to look at. :P
So to sum it up: it's all Amy Pascals fault
Good news! That whole passing the torch would now be made with the announcement of Ghostbusters 3!
All I can say is that it was in a screening. as there is like 60 odd TV spots perhaps one of them has a hint of it in them if it's still in the movie.
I remember they did that in the mask but that was the mask with jim Carey who can lead a police/military dance number in this movie?
killthenerd5 plus it was the main character protagonist initiating it. I don't think it will work with the main villain initiating it.
The military musical got cut I believe after the script leaked and they saw everyone hated it.
to me Ghostbusters 3 will always be the 2009 videogame, that is the true sequel in my head. So far, every stupid idea that was in the script that was leaked by someone involved in the production has come true, down to the ridiculous fight with the logo at the end.
That game was great too.
Indeed it was, I still replay it once a year to this day.
+XenoJehuty84 I do the same :3 just got finished with my yearly playthrough a month ago.
MEga EXplain I actually have vivid memories of most of the areas lol.
the game is actually 100% canon, so it IS Ghostbusters 3
4 years later: Ghostbuster's: Afterlife comes into view. Although not the greatest, the Ghostbuster fans flock to it and PROVE that Ghostbuster support is strong but some critics go salty because they don't like the film and they backed the wrong horse.

the worst idea would be a GHOSTBUSTERS remake done by and starring Adam Sandler and friends.

Yes.
77% on rotten tomatoes says otherwise
Gojifan2001games most of whom already made up their mind that they would praise it for "girl power". From a review I have watched on TH-cam (called cynical review) it's neither good or bad, middle ground, but only because they edited out the absolutely worst parts of the trailers and leaked script.
My answer is still the same when I first saw the all girls trailer! NOOOOOOOO!
"While still being very funny." Followed immediately by "The whole police force will do a dance number" -Paul Feig.
Feig reportedly broke down and cried because the dance routine as it did not work?(No shit Paul).
Idk ghost aliens...
This upsetted Leslie Jones who played Patty Tolan in the reboot, she made a tweet about it
Gender aside, this thing resembles another cheap, lazy Adam Sandler movie.
Spot on😂😂
I don't think it could have been a little bit better maybe we better director or scripter actors or something in my mind remakes are Never As Good As the original
@Wolfie Prosperity Preacher the only movie I like with him was the Zohan movie. I didn't even know it was him.
Lew Archer 1949 don’t knock Adam Sandler
his older stuff is generally better
Did i just fucking hear Ghost Aliens?
I'm done.
*Grabs Bleach*
share that
hahaha ghost aliens.
Xenu made them
The dragon is apparently an alien ghost....
the correct term is Alien Ghosts, but of course Feig doesn't realize that nor that Lovecraft had this "million dollar idea" a hundred years ago.
This is December 2019 and The Real Ghostbusters are good to go with their movie. This movie stunk baaad!!
That Bill Murray cameo sounds so insulting.
the same kind of meta connection Disney and JJ are doing with star wars :(
Milking out all of its nostalgia without giving us the continuity that was meant to be
Implying Fox wasn't beforehand
Crapola..........
Amy Pascal had no idea what she was doing. It really would have been better to have the original GB pass the torch. It sounds like the original idea would have been better.
"Who then kills himself" Probably because he knew how this movie was going to go down
>An all female superhero movie called Glass Ceiling
This explains so fucking much about Sony's handling of the Ghostbusters criticism.
They also wanted to make a Zoe Quinn film. Dunno if that's happening now...
@Sean Price think it got scrapped because Ms Quinn was insisting that Scarlett Johannson was to play her in the film lol
Kudos.
