Do this forget about your compression and rebound once it seeps into the fork it'll feel the same soft sponge all the time and ride about 1inch from your crown they just hit the bottom all of a sudden when riding! May take a few days but you'll just hit the crown into the tyre one day
Yes its dangerous for making the elastomer springs compress like a wet sponge when seeps through and it will seep into the system! As someone who made this costly mistake 20 yrs ago as a teen looking for a smoother fork its something I've never forgot!

Do not do this with elastomer shock forks done it years ago on SR Suntour completely destroyed them as oil sept into the elastomers and made them like a sponge constantly! It was an expensive mistake i done 20 years ago nevwr forgetten it! Don't do it use stantion shine instead for all it cost's, maybe couple bucks more than or same as Johnsons baby oil anyway
