It depends on many factors, mainly on the bike and the rider. A normal hybrid bicycle (not so expensive) can go around 20-25 kmph easily considering the rider is a regular. Given a better bike, the same can reach a speed of 30-35 kmph. Speed of hybrid cycle depends on gear.
Hey bro i personally recommend you to go in single speed if your budget is near about 10k one month ago i have tata shadow stryder about 11 k single speed, i previously i have one gear cycle hercules fx 100 18 gear this cycle have lot of problems in gear shifting two times changed whole gear that can broked easily if want a good gear then it will cost you more
I did a great mistake by purchasing MTB. I thought it is useful in sloppy areas. But it's actually meant for off-road traveling. It looks like I am moving a mountain while riding in hilly areas. It's extremely uncomfortable and back paining a lot. 😖

In my opinion an xc bike or a gravel bike is the best ... its the best of both worlds . If you ride on road more than you off road , then go for a gravel bike and vice versa

Yeah you can, go for it, Vaibhav has a vid about it you can watch it... Btw I Would suggest u getting rim/v breaks as they will give u better power compared to low/mid range mechanical disk break (breaking power, mechanical disk breaks have more durability)... tho getting v breaks might need you to change ur wheels which can cost you alot but if you are not thinking about price get those otherwise disk breaks are real good, happy riding... just confirming again you can get them no issues

MTB is better. Because it can build better strength and would make it easier for road cyclists to win races, with comparatively less sweat. As it's rightly said, the more you sweat in training grounds, the less you bleed in the battlefield.

I have been using Hero and Hercules geared cycles for over 15 years now and I have found them to be a hassle. Gears always create a problem. So now I am looking for a non geared one, but I need good quality disc brakes (I have always hated the V brakes on my Hero and Hercules, they never worked well) and suspension at front. My budget is 15k max. Anything available for me? Please advise. I would not like to try any new, start-up brands, as they will go out of business after a while. I am from Kolkata and I travel like 10-12 kms max/day and 5.9 height.
Now a days i am riding firefox athelio non geared. This bicycle is a gem for good quality roads. But for rough roads, for ubad khabad rasta , it is not good at all. I am facing puncture issue a lot, because of bad road conditions.

I don't think it is going to make a ton of difference in the faster riding perspective due to the frame geometry. But, your comfort will drop significantly. Rest is upto your requirement.

You can go for 91 wanderer, or you can any day swap your multispeed cassette to a single speed cog. I think that is totally doable.
