They left Egypt and then proceeded to take several generations getting to where Israel is. They then waged war on the Canaanites and conquered the land. The war has never ended, and now there is peace. Whether it lasts or not is still to be determined, but this is a historic first step.

I don't give a fuck if you love or hate trump - Establishing normalized economic and diplomatic relations between Isreal and any of the Arabic countries is a huge step toward lasting peace. Economic and diplomatic relationships between the nations of Europe has been largely the driving force of peace in Europe and lead to the stability of the EU (even if you think it went to far). This will hopefully be a first step saving lives in that region as well as reducing Russian political\economic influence in the region. Ultimately (hopefully) leading to a lasting peace so that refugees can return to their tragically war torn homelands.
