I have watched (4x) the documovie Under An Arctic Sky bout cold water surfers and it takes place in Iceland. The flick has a soundtrack and the last song is Signals by these guys. Love it!
I've been listening to this for a year and love it as the first day. We need more music like these. The whole performance sounds like Spring (if seasons had a soundtrack)
I've listened to this performance about as much as any other album I own. Can't wait for a studio album, or live performance within a hundred miles of where I live.
I just discovered "KEXP" and I must say that it's SO NICE to finally find some REAL MUSIC by REAL MUSICIANS!!! Meyvant...you've just moved-up to the top of my list :) Beautiful work. THANK YOU!
The sound engineering here is amazing. With all those instruments is not easy to get a subtle voice to sound upfront and achieve a balanced sound throughout.
Matias Covarrubias - you’re absolutely right. I’m an audio engineer here in New Haven CT USA. One HUGE thing besides the excellent audio engineering job is the LOW VOLUME the musicians are playing at. There is another member of this ensemble that very few are aware of: the ROOM they are playing in! Almost all bands here in the USA disregard the room, and think that the audio person is going to “fix it in the mix”; wrong! Remember: “Garage in garbage out.” If you play too loudly on stage, I can’t “un-loud” you out in the room where the audience is; even with all my state of the art, costly audio equipment!! The room that this band is preforming in is very ambient. You can hear the room in this video. All musician on that stage are listening to each other, and they’re also listening to the room. No one is playing too loudly.
Júníus was my favorite set from Airwaves from an artist I didn't know (and second only to John Grant overall). So fun to discover so much new, great music! Thanks KEXP!

I absolutely love Junius and his ensemble, but when the woman laughs at him when he says he has no family, (9:14) it really makes me wonder what was going through her head. Why the hell would you laugh at someone when they say they have no family. That's horrible...
Color Decay is Now one of my favourite Tunes of all time, absolutely brilliant, so beautiful.
