Glad you got to go to Menard's. They are my "go to store". During Covid, we lived on groceries from Menard's and home deliveries from Schwan's. The MasterForce tool guarantee is great. Take a broken tool to the service desk, they tell you to go pick out a replacement off the shelf, go back to the service desk, sign the form and out the door. You don't have to send it in and wait, just stop at the store. The cordless power tools are made by Chervon who makes top quality tools, mostly in Tiawan. The 11% rebate usually starts in late Feb or early March and runs through Thanksgiving. Stops until after Christmas when it will start and stop during January. Thanks for the video. Hope you get to Menard's more often
I have 2 Menards stores in my areas. I very seldom go to Home Depot or Lowe’s anymore. I have 2 each of these stores in my area. Menards have better lumber and longer sizes. I wished they carried Milwaukee products. The 11% rebate sold me. Sorry you don’t have one.
Rebate takes a while to get back and is in the form of a rebate check not a gift card and can only be used for future purchases at menards and only menards.
Very cool video. I've never seen a Menards before so this was eye opening, for sure. I bet that was fun checking it out. They need to expand into other states.
Well darn on no percent off at Home Depot. We just got ours. Opened the 16th of this month. I went there first time on 17th. Def a different experience from Home Depot and Lowe’s. I will go to the store a lot as they sale better quality woods. Just store layout is just different and even diff from your video. But I learned a few things watching this the day after I walked through most of the store. By no means every isle. I think I would need a week as a wood worker/ almost every other category. I guess they do have an area to buy for pets which I have none. Only thing they have that I am not currently interested. Quite impressive really.
The Home Depot no longer will give an 11 per cent rebate. Their official statement is "Effective 2024, the Home Depot will no longer be accepting rebate submissions."
I live about 7 minutes away from our closest Menards. It’s only been around about 4 years, but that 11% rebate is pretty much continuous. They just break it up with dates so you don’t hold onto your receipts for the entire year and send them all in at the end of the year. They suspended the rebate for a couple of months after Christmas this past year, but it has been up and going again for a couple of months now. Also, it’s not really a gift card you get back. It’s more of a paper post card with a total value printed on it. Each time you want to use it, you give it to the cashier, they do the transaction, and they will write down the remaining total, if any, on the card for your next trip. They recently went to a 2 piece postcard so it could be folded to hide the value. They were being stolen too often because the value was printed where any mail handler could see it. There is a Lowe’s right across the street from my Menards, and a Home Depot around the corner. My goal is to avoid both of them whenever possible because they never have anything I’m looking for and, if they do, it’s locked up in a cage with no employees around to get it out. Menards does not do this. They hire actual security guards to patrol the parking lot and keep an eye on the store.
Menards is good for some things! You did not explain the 11% off deal. It does not apply to what is bought at time of purchase! You have to get a small paper 11% off coupon, then take your receipt and mail it off to them. Once done they will give you an 11% offer for your next purchase? Not the one you are currently purchasing! Your gas money to mail to a post office, Your money spent to process and get to the post office and tracking before each 11% expires? Dwell on how home depot is great for their line of tools, still Home Depot offers Ryobi, once one has bought this first purchase and already has a tool or two, you can buy a naked tool for way cheaper to extend your lineup. Plus at Home Depot if you need only 1 foot of quarter round, You can cut it yourself at Home Depot, Not at Lowes or Menards, and get the linear foot one needs smaller than 8" or 10' or such. Cool beans for me, I am a Dad, and use Harbor Freight as well for some items.
Man, they give you 11% back off of your purchase in the form of a gift card in order for you to use it on a next purchase. Thats what he was saying. They give you 11% back off of that purchase, so that you can use that amount on future purchases…
@@JohnO221that's the worst "rebate" I've ever heard of... So Menards gets that full price anyway.. What if you only need a 1 time purchase from them? Might as well not even worry about that rebate. It's a win for them and a lose for you. 99.9% of rebates I've ever heard of come in the form of a check that can be put in your bank account so you aren't beholden to have to go back to that store and just give them the money back. The rebate is on a postcard that is sealed, but postal carriers recognize them and steal them. Menards is not that great, it's a lot of low quality but cheap junk.
I just abused a 5 yr. Masterforce wrench and brought it back to the return counter. It was replaced no receipt, no questions asked. All depends what you buy. I also have decent luck with lumber & trim. They always have nails for my nail gun. The easy layout & massive assortment of nuts, bolts washers is great.

Got a Menards 2 blocks away from home. It’s my go to, love it.
Loved Menards when I lived close to one. None in the south. They have really upped their game!!

The company that manufactures the Masterforce brand also makes the Kobalt brand for Lowe’s.
interesting…
Can you please make a video of the Cub Cadet utvs that are available for purchase at Home Depot?

Home Depot discontinued the 11% program. Prior - if you purchased Home Depot in store, you could file online and get a gift card in mail.
oh wow, that’s a bummer

ahh ok, thanks for the info!
I'm there almost everyday 😂
I really like US General tool cabinets, but once I seen the masterforce cabinet I sold all 3 of my Generals and bought a 72" and a 41".
Masterforce looks to be nothing more than Husky stuff in a different color.
probably for the hand tools, but the master force line is WAY bigger than Husky’s
Hey 😊😊😊
Everyone knows you only shop at Menards if you wanna save BIG money. 😂
that theme song has been stuck in my head…
