Yes!!! This was the most successful video I have watched. My 6 year old locked the bathroom door after he was done this morning and shut the door behind him. Locked. After going to work and waiting 8 hours for my apartment maintenance to come look at it. Miss MacGyver myself decided to take matters into my own hands.. once I saw the diagram of what the inside of the lock might look like I was able to use my paper clip and unlock the door. Many many thanks!!! This saved us a whole lot of trips to the gas station this evening. 🤣

This saved me. I used a small screwdriver following your instructions. We have the same doors. It's a new build. Then I discovered the keys on top of the door frames! My 12 year old locked me out of my bathroom (he has disabilities). He was mad because I wouldn't let him go to skyzone because he's sick. It's Sunday and I had no one to call. My adult developmentally disabled son thought he would play a trick on me and locked both of the bathroom doors and I searched for something to open them with no avail, until I decided to check on line and found you. I am pretty handy and had some jewelry pliers so I was able to use them to bend the paper clip into a pretty firm "key". Took me two or three tries but it WORKED! Awesome. You just saved ME a huge headache.

Michael Yazzie I went to the dollar store, and got a kit that have about 3 small screwdriver, and 2 flat heads in them and the thickest flathead one worked wonders!
extend the paperclip all the way then make it so that the part that goes into the door is long so it doesnt get stuck (I literally just did that so i thought of a new thing)

I like how he just put it in and unlocked it like it was nothing. Not my experience at all
I'm used to doing it. But the hard part is aiming for the middle and rotating the key until it falls in position. If you haven't done it before this can be very tricky. Once you've done it a few times, you get the hang of it though.
It took me like 5 minutes to get it to work.

I tried various tools, butter knives, and cards for the last *3 days* trying to unlock my upstairs bathroom. I finally found this video last night, but figured I’d just have to take the door off the frame, because I couldn’t even get a screwdriver to take off the knob. Imagine how loud I laughed this morning when I ran my hand across the frame as a last ditch effort, and the key was right there, just as you showed us. THANK YOU.
