If anyone reads nikola tesla articles this is a mini wardenclyffe coil, but not as strong. See what it is doing is sending energy to the induction coils in the back of our phones or devices. It can only work with devices that have wireless charging built into them. Nikola Tesla was a genius way ahead of his time. This one has more high frequincy capacitors inside of it. Causing the output enegy field inside to be much bigger. If you could apply this to a whole room it would need a big amount of energy to run if it were powering our devices. And if it didnt have the induction coil build into it then we would have to buy adapters that would be crazy amounts of money. If this was built back in 1920 by Nikola Tesla then it would have completely changed our existance. But he had his funding cut short because the man funding it wanted more money for himself and his business. Sorry for grammar. Im a person that just wants to see a world like this

In 'case' anyone is wondering what happened to PIE, it's simple for both business and average consumer's the power cost was too high, while not in use and left plugged in, it used the same power that 3 standard light bulbs used.
Not only that all devices took 2 and a half times longer to be charged(Compared to wired charging).
This is how this product/project died and fast, at the time they did not answer the most important questions.
Very few were willing to invest any money towards this and today it's not even progressed passed previous issues.

That's probably why this didn't take off. If it uses the same principle of the Pad Qi charging, and that itself is already slow, to do it over a substantially larger distance, I think the charge speed is too slow to even keep the phone on, let alone increase the charge. To make it even register a charge, I think they already boosted the signals intensity to some pretty high levels, to make it charge, the levels might be too strong when you are actually close to it. I mean if you happen you have something metal close by the Pi and magnetic induction is large enough to heat it up that could be quite some risk.

A regular wireless charging pad uses 2.1 amps to deliver 1 amp to a device directly on top of it. Power loss is exponential with distance so now imagine how much power is necessary to charge multiple devices from even a few inches away. So either this thing uses a ton of power, or charges everything super slowly

What it does is it creates a changing magnetic field which can induce an electric current when it goes through a conductor. Theoretically you can make a large one that covers an entire room but the problem is it would require a lot of energy, and most of it is wasted. The range of magnetic fields falls like 1/r^2 so doubling the range would require quadruple the energy
