I learned a lot from your video as a fairly young kayak angler I have been getting better ever since I started watching your videos and I showed you to all of my friends at school!
I'm surprised you don't like to fish docks and pilings. In fact I remember being able to get mangrove or mud crabs their and it being great fun to pitch them up against dock pilings near deep water. You never knew what you are going to get. And if it was a popular video you could sell more jigs and maybe even a mud crab shirt.
love your videos brother. Love the clear water fishing. I would love u to try something I do when in the keys. Take one off those small cudas you catch and move him alive to a double hook wire rig and throw him out on a larger rod behind the boat. just have him drift as u go on fishing until a huge cuda grabs him. I have caught my biggest cudas on small cudas
Steve, you are so great & open about what you do, your content and body of work is so outstanding you can broadcast from your merch warehouse and are still riveting. you are the best fishing channel on TH-cam (even if you never land a swordfish from a kayak... that's just nuts for the sake of extremity & not consistency)
Steve you already did prospecting in these areas a year ago. Just launch the boat and go fishing please. How about a catch clean and cook. You haven't done one of those in the last year or so. Thank you
free fish finder (open water/reef/wrecks): just motor up to other boats "sitting still" in the middle of the ocean, the more expensive the boat looks, the better their fish finder probably is... just try not to crowd them/scare their fish or run over their lines... ubiquity of GPS today, they won't even realize it... & so many boats probably several there already... just don't mess with the commercial fishermen... there are real pirates out there and irate hardworking commercial fishermen carry guns... shiny rich tourist boats are more accommodative and if on a great school of mahi might actually hail that fact to you in their excitement!
Lol, I'll say it again. If you just stick a worm on a hook with a bobber and throw it in the water, you're fishing. What Steve does (and probably the majority here) is hunt fish. If you study structure, fish behavior, weather, etc, it's hunting. Just under the water, lol...
