Condit just had the misfortune of coming up when Welterweight was an absolute frickin murderer's row. In another era he probably would have been champion. But he just happened to be in the era of GSP, and prime Robbie Lawler. And even then he was still competitive with pretty much anybody in UFC.
He was the welterweight champ in 2014 after a win over Johnny Hendricks. Then in 2015 he retained his title in a rematch with Rory MacDonald also. Just saying!

The variety and volume of Condits striking is truly outstanding in this fight. He won this easy 48-47. Can’t figure out how a judge could score it any other way.
Robbie 2, 3, 5. Condit wasted too much time throwing showy, meaningless kicks with no impact, while everything Robbie hit him with was actually consequential.

Carlos Condit is one of my favorite fighters to grace the ufc octagon. It should be criminal now underrated and overlooked this man is, one of the best welterweights of all time
This title fight along with having a great opportunity to finish GSP in their title fight makes its hard not to feel disappointed for Condit. He was about as close as you could get to winning a UFC title without achieving it. The guy was always a gamer even going back to his WEC days and I think not getting the nod is this fight took the hunger out of him.

30 min video for one round of MMA worth watching. Four rounds of watching Lawler LARP as Rocky just getting beat on for four rounds before he actually fought back, and worse, the judges gave him the belt after that performance. Condit out worked him 5 strikes to 1, dominated him for 4 rounds and gave as good as he got when Lawler went into desperation mode. He got robbed.
Great fight. I love Robbie, but Carlos deserved the belt around his waist on this night. It must be heartbreaking to put on the fight of a lifetime and not walk out with the belt. I didnt like carlos in the WEC but i was in high(alot)school at the time but he grew oon me and im disappointed we never got to see him become the best "natural born killer" that he could have been. I love Lawler, but Condit should have got the unanimous decision. Giving Lawler rd 5 and arguably maybe the round mid way through, with the knock down. Even that round when Lawler knocked down Condit I had it as a 9-9.

Strickland vs DDP is a snoozefest and a sloppy fight. The lawler and condit fight is action pack from first til the end of the fight

I didnt like carlos in the WEC but i was in high(alot)school at the time but he grew oon me and im disappointed we never got to see him become the best "natural born killer" that he could have been. Idk what even happened to him but he was UNSTOPPABLE back in the WEC days

i used to think robbie got the decision but now watching it again felt like Condit got 1 3 4 no? the commentary and Robbie's coaches even said he needed a ko in the 5th , thts why he got over aggressive in the 5th

I love Lawler, but Condit should have got the unanimous decision. Giving Lawler rd 5 and arguably maybe the round mid way through, with the knock down. Even that round when Lawler knocked down Condit I had it as a 9-9.
