Australia is also very proud of its fine wine known as Goon, the goon sack as it's also known as, is removed from the box it's sold in. It's then hung from a clothes line using pegs and people then pour it down their throats. It pairs very well with potato chips and even dirt.

+Erwan Heussaff 'Goon' is a name given to cheap cask wine here in Australia. It's popular among the youth because it's so cheap.

Pick the one that would go with the meal. Per sommelier, never choose the 2nd cheapest because that’s typically the most overpriced. Ask your waiter (if they’re knowledgeable with wine) or a sommelier (if available) what would go best with the meals that you want to order. Also, let them know what price you’re comfortable in spending. I typically prefer montepulciano, malbec, sangiovese, carignan, tempranillo and rose. I’m not a fan of high tannin wines such as Cabernet. Those are hard to drink unless they’re aged to soften the tannins or paired with a high fatty meats.

Hi erwann! Been wondering maybe you might want to visit Israel. It just happened that i met a family who's very dedicated in wine. And they are very proud of their wine-montefiory wines. And also i am sure a lot will be happy if you feature israel on your channel their food, the country itself.

chardonnay and riesling for my (always) go-to if i want some white wine and cabernet sauvignon if i want some red wine. personally don't like shiraz, cuz it's too bold for me :))

It's actually the inverse. The cheapest one is often best value because restaurants know that you are likely to take the second on the list just so you dont look cheap

I absolutely can't handle white wine, must've been traumatized. I do however really enjoy champagne for some strange reason. Most red wines are fine if they are not among the 20% cheapest bracket, everything else is pretty much drinkable. Don't know if I'd drink red wine with seafood or the like though, prefer a light beer in that case. Australian wines are underrated for sure, especially when it comes to red such.
