Crabbing with Hoop Nets in Tomales Bay for DUNGENESS CRAB!

  • In this video, we are crabbing in Tomales Bay, California using hoop nets to catch Dungeness and Rock Crabs. As of November 2021, the use of crab cages is delayed in fishing zones 3 & 4 due to migrating whales, so only hoop nets and crab snares are allowed until further notice. We managed to catch a lot of barely short crabs but still came home with some delicious keeper size crabs!

    Great video, I was out last Friday and did really well. I think the extra red buoy is only applicable to traps not nets

    This video is gas. Keep up the good work. Where did you get the meat from those crab? Just from the claws? -Hondayamahafan

      Thanks dude! The meat was from the claws, legs, and body of the crab. We ate most of the dungeness dipped in butter since they taste better and the rock crabs I made crab cakes.
