    Joe, the top roller pillow block bearings are adjustable for chain length and tension. Back them off, take out the old link you added, and readjust for proper chain operation. The new chain is dry so a little oil on all the pins (both sides) will be good.

    • @ohiowoodburner
      @ohiowoodburner  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Bill. we didn't even think of adjusting. It just seemed the link # worked out right. LOL

      @@ohiowoodburner It appears to me that adjuster is already adjusted to the short side. I doubt there is enough adjustment to get a full length made up but I could be wrong. I do feel it needs slightly tightened now and would help with the slight jumping in chain I hear...

He said just buy the diameter you want at one length and that length being on the long side. That way you just bend them over as needed and cut the rest off. No need to have a massive set of different lengths. Seems so dang simple but I never would have thought of it.

You can also lube your splitter table with it. It doesn't make a mess when you get it on you. You don't want your customers smelling used motor oil on their wood.

    Will go check out outside with Scheib channel.
    Now
    When are you going to fix the lift table height like Tony did ?
    Two pieces of plywood and a sheet of i.b.c. plastic let's you slide the wood off the table instead of wrestling it too and fro.
    .and while you are in modification mode.
    How
    About four l.e.d. flood lights atop a 10 foot portable pole for working an extra two or three hours after sun down.
    Maybe the motor could power the lights somehow.
    Nice vid today
