Garland the Great didn't lose his mind getting the Platinum Relic on Hot Coco. He also has one of the best times for Stormy Ascent. Garland the Great is my hero.
It took me a few hours to get the gold time trial. Definitely the toughest level in Crash. A lot of the difficulty is just getting through the level without dying since the time is quite generous (4:30 for gold), due to the timing of the platforms and stairs differing. But I will say every time I died I felt it was my fault. Awesome that it was free too!
I get you. I ended up walking the ropes in Road to Nowhere and High Road - but Slippery Climb was a breeze in comparison!! I'm sure they got the levels the wrong way round!
I really didn’t find The High Road that hard. Maybe I’m just used to bouncing off enemies in platformers, but I never got a game over there. Road to Nowhere on the other hand should be dropped into an active volcano so the pigs there die a slow, painful death.
I hate how people who've never played the original crash trilogy who jumped on the nsane trilogy, mostly nintendo fans or people who missed that generation, call it the dark souls of platformers, it isnt even that hard especially 3, the only challenge comes from trying to 100% the games, 1 is the only real challenging game in the franchise and even then its a select few levels that are difficult.
Video actually helped me TREMENDOUSLY! Seriously, thank you for the follow up Crash video. Was able to beat it with sweaty, shaking hands in about two hours. Hooray for being in the .3 percent!
For anyone struggling on this level's time trial, although the platinum time is incredibly strict, the sapphire and gold times are much more lenient. The sapphire time is 7 minutes, and the gold time is 4:30, so if you can get to the end of the level in one run without dying, there will definitely be a relic waiting for you at the end. Like in the base game, the time trial trophy also only requires gold, so if you want the trophy, you only have to beat 4:30, which is a very achievable time, even if you play cautiously and take your time on some hazards.

Mr Josef419 Yeah, if you hit one of the Nitros at just the right speed and angle (it's not that hard to do, took me maybe three tries) you can get away from the Nitro explosions before they kill you. And the warp is right behind them so all the top scores are like 2 seconds now lol But hey, props to you for you for doing it legit! It's probably the headrest challenge Crash 3 has in the N Sane trilogy.
The developers left that glitch in on purpose I think, like the glitch with the crash 1 bridge levels where you can walk on the ropes instead of jumping on the rotting wooden planks.
Bungis Albondigas I never even knew it was in the original ps1 version. Interesting because the time trail for Hot Coco on the original ps1 release was actually quite easy it's just the new jet ski physics that make it hard, you just don't have the mobility to get around the bombs without grinding to a halt.
I managed to grab the platinum relic after four hours, no I'm not kidding. It was tough as nails but it's far from impossible. Time was 2:59, try and stop me, casuals!

7:29 For this part of the level I found a trick to make the platform you stand on sync up with the rotating platforms faster by standing on the edge of the left side of the platform that you stand on and face crash to the left, the camera will focus the the moving platform behind you and away from the rotating platforms, then move to the right side of the platform you stand on and the camera will focus back onto the rotating platforms which also resets said platforms which allows you to jump onto the rotating platforms faster without waiting
after 5 hours straight, i got the platform. the trick is to go extremely fast at the beginning (enough to reach the first balancing platform in less than 0:42:00) so that you can wait for some platforms later on
