@@artbyaustinhey! So how are you finding the board? Also does it sound as marbles and deep as it is shown in yt videos. Because I am unsure on if I should purchase this board. Thanks
can someone help me out? i’m referring to 5:04, but when i switch the on button, a light in the upper left corner flashes, but when i pressed the A key, the light doesn’t turn on. i’m so confused, can someone help me? i also followed this vid to a T too
omg the switch foam looks so fkn thick! i've tried some kind of foam that way thiner and some of my switches couldn't reach the hotswap socket..i mean it still went in but not working
Would you say this dark green color matched with any dark keycaps such as WOB, GMK nord/ GMK modo? i just found out that the blue and grey prototype seems to be a lot lighter in color than the one in render, so i'm leaning toward the green one for now
This is the green one? First thought it was the blue one. But same, renders looked super dark. Theres one yt reviewer with a short about the blue one that uploaded just a few hours ago, but still cant really tell the colour
@@prokopf-9332 this is the green, after seeing multiple photos i believe the green is super dark(looked like dark/ charcoal on some ocassion) but under some lighting it'll become a dark green
Hey, Im super new to the Keyboard building hobby. Planning to order this and my knowledge is quite limited and would appreciate insight from anyone. Im leaning more towards a PC plate based on videos Ive seen, but is there a characteristic that each plate material usually produces that whether its sounds/feeling, etc.? Also I am looking to get a "thock" type sound. Would the tape Mod be beneficial in this scenario or the foam that comes included is enough?
start with the PC plate and build without tape mod. get what most people are calling thoccy switches and get some quality pbt or gmk keycaps. most thoccy builds come from empty resonant cases with tape mod and cramming all of the sound between the bottom of the PCB and the case (think of fake typing typing on a empty cardboard box). The thocc mostly comes from the resonance of sound inside of the box... So... you want the materials above the PCB to be soft (like your fingertips on the box) and you want a lot of room in the case for that sound to bounce around. that's thocc. If you want clack, you keep that softness but you fill the case with foam and remove the tape mod, that allows that sound to bounce out beyond the keycaps. What I will say is that thocc is not the most important thing. You may go out and get gateron inkv2 switches and think they're too heavy or too mushy and you may not enjoy typing on them, regardless of sound. From soundtests online for QK75, it can likely be built to thocc, but it has a more clacky thocc than some other boards because.... its aluminium case, weighted, small form factor, etc... if you're really chasing thocc, go get the materials that will produce that sound. keybored has a great video on the science of thocc that I would reccommend that you watch. for me, the thocc comes from plastic cases with a lot of room in the case and then something like tape mod with just about any linear switch, lubed, and something soft for the keycap to hit like a PC or POM plate.
@@maggotish Thanks that was very helpful, I guess thocc isn't that important to me but I do enjoy the sound. I think the typing experience is more important for me. You mentioned something like the gateron inkv2 can be very heavy or mushy. I plan on using the keyboard for gaming and my work from home set up so performance is somewhat important to me. Im coming from a steel-series apex 7 mechanical keyboard so Im sure most things will sound and feel better than it! Is there a switch you would recommend that has good performance and sound/ type of switch to point me in a direction? The two I had in mind are a linear or tactical switch.
@@juan00 i would advise you against tape modding, there are cases where some pcb shortcircuited or even burnt bcs of tape mod. This board will be fine since it have under pcb foam anw. if you want to tape mod, just lost the flex cut, don't tape mod the whole board
@@hindra1996 Just use the right kind of tape. Electrical tape is perfect for this because it's quite literally meant to not transfer electricity. I am using it in the board I am writing this with.
@@MagnificentPez in general just avoid it tbh. if it's a cheap board it doesnt matter, if it's an expensive one it suppose to sound generally better in any way. Not only abt the electricity transfer but also some pcb ran hotter than the other, and covering the whole pcb is capable to causing damage to the board
you finally put the parts in the description, I love your videos and that was the only thing missing from them
I'll keep trying, thanks for your advice
definitely going to refer back to this build process when I build my qk75 in milky white. great vid!
aii i m also getting milky white, what keycap are you using?
@@dontaskwhatmyname9002 i'm planning on using my drop mt3 9009 keycaps. going for a retro vibe with silver knob and dusk sandblasted PVD

Can't wait! Ordered the milky white version. Gonna start my custom keyboard journey (or should I say blackhole) with this keyboard!
Man if this is your first board, it can end here lol - i like my QK60 more than the keyboards I own that cost double it.
Nice! ⌨️👌
Please give me the camera information that you can see on the keyboard.
Can you give me some driver information?
What a beautiful video, so clean. What setup youre using? Camera? Lens?
이거 보면서 따라하면 되겠네요👍🤩

Is this the green or black finish? It’s so hard to tell in all the videos!
Looks like dark green, if I recall, black has glitters since it's spray coated.
Is your QK75 the green version? I'm not sure if it's green or black.
How do you find the typing angle?

The QK75 group buy is still live through Dec 9th if your purchasing site is qwertykeys!

Would you choose the aero75 or the qk75?
Is Aero75 still in stock even?
they are not the same price
