Cabotine? I am a proud owner of one and brings back good memories when I used to live in Europe. I think Himalayan ginger lily is the one dominating. I also heard it is quite difficult to extract oils from this particular flower since it is living in a harsh climate and it blooms only for short period of time. However, beautiful, long lasting fragrance. I am glad you mentioned it, Bunny. I only wish they would make perfumes like they used to in "good old days".My favourite cheapie and always on top of the list is "The Scent of Issey Miakey". Very, very green, fresh and clean. I love it on its own or layering with stronger fragrances.
I also want people to take into account for the longevity of the fragrances. If a fragrance lasts 15mins and disappear, I would not consider that cheap. $/hours, overall price, and maybe projection depending on the need (office, party, etc.) are things I suggest to look at. *Fragrantica* can tell the longevity of the fragrances to some degree. It always comes down to everyone's skin, weather (humidity and temperature), sense of smell, methods of applying perfumes, and moisturizer application. There are also great brands, regardless of the price. Here are a few fragrances brands: Molinard, Serge Lutens on discounter sites (and even steeper with Joinhoney codes), Les Nereides (even retail price is fine, but you can find some deals), Guerlain also on many discounters, L'artisan Parfumeur (discounters), Mancera (some on discounters), Millar Harris (discounters), Montale (discounters). There are all mostly under $80. Sites to look at: *Fragrancenet, Fragrancex, Maxaroma, eBay, Google shopping.* Some samples are available on *Luckyscent, ZGO perfumery, and Aedes.* If you cannot find them there, just google the brands' samples. It would be ideal if you can go to their physical stores (locations available on their websites) to test out fragrances or get samples before buying any fragrances. Samples are not good deals but blind buying perfumes is going to cost more as you buy more and definitely left you disappointed someday as well. I call them my grocery run or hang at home or bedtime off days scents. Actually, most of mine are in that category. I find it hard to use the expensive ones unless it's something special or a more large party, where hugs are in abundance. Bath and body works and victoria secret and yes discount stores are my go to cheapie body sprays and lotion destinations

1881 for woman Cerrutti. You can find it for 25 USD 100 ml. It smells like luxury soap with white flowers. Very elegant and sexy at the same time and it lasts for hours.
Lovely review Clemence as usual, Always very elegant, You mention cheap good fragrances, Have you tried Primark, They have there own interpretations of Jo Malone, They come in 100ml bottles, £8.00, EDP, Pomegranate and black tea, Pearl and white flower, Rose oud, To name a few, There performance is also quite good for the price. If you like Zara 9.0, you'd probably like Zara For Him Gold edition too. I have bunch of their stuff, really solid scents, but due to longevity issues (as you said, we can't expect much for the price), I wear most of them at home only.

Clemence I've heard that fragrances in Europe are not exactly 100% the same than those we find here in the US (even if it's supposedly the same fragrance), is this true?
Some of them have to be changed because of the rule of ingredients used being sometimes different so it definetly can happen however it's very rare and I doubt there will be a massive difference in the smell !

My fav cheapie is Noble Fig by Ferrari. Very clean fruity, woody, and then a touch milky in the dry down. I love it for warm weather.

I don't wear it on my skin like I used to before but, I like to spray it around me once in a while because of the memories it brings back

Yay! bunny! I used to have a Netherland Dwarf. As far as my favorite cheapie; I am too new to the game to really have one. I got a good price on a bottle of Foubigant Fougere Royale, but that realy doesn't count. I do like Lalique Pour Homme Lion EDP.

Clemence I've heard that fragrances in Europe are not exactly 100% the same than those we find here in the US (even if it's supposedly the same fragrance), is this true?
Some of them have to be changed because of the rule of ingredients used being sometimes different so it definetly can happen however it's very rare and I doubt there will be a massive difference in the smell !
