    Thanks, took me longer to watch the entire video than to service the four suction cups!

      SeaSucker Mounts question what about anti theft?

    • @Tchairdjian
      @Tchairdjian 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Unfortunately there is not much to avoid theft... you just can't leave your bike or your rack on the car when not in use.... SeaSuckers offers some eyelets that can be secured to the car trunk and/or windows to which one can attach a security cable.. but we all know how secure cables have been in protecting bike theft. Anyone can cut them off in seconds.. The good news is, these things come off so quickly and easily therefore you have no real excuse to leave them on unnecessarily. There... I hope this answers your question.

    Are the black pumps with the orange band supposed to have O-rings? Mine do not. My roof rack has 5 suction cups and one of the pumps was stuck with plunger pushed in. Even after performing this maintenance, the push button doesn't return. I compared the stuck one to another (functioning one) and they look identical, with no O-ring, and the springs appear identical.

      I second this. My pump, when pulled straight out, does not have an o-ring around it.

    Can't I just wash the whole thing under running water?

    What kind of lube are you using to re-grease the valve after cleaning?

    • @SeaSuckerRack
      @SeaSuckerRack  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello. We are using a lube called Lube Tube. It's included with all products we sell.

    you guys sale replacement parts? and what's the time frame the parts need to be replaced?

    • @SeaSuckerRack
      @SeaSuckerRack  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Parts are replaced on an as-needed basis. Doing simple maintenance can prolong the life of the pumps for years.

    I have two talons. My problem is not cleaning the pumps. The pumps break too easily. When i try to pull the pump out the plastic stem breaks. Sometimes when trying to mount the talon the pump stem breaks. Have the new pumps been redesigned with a stronger stem?

      Hello. May I ask how old your vacuum mounts are? Are you pulling the pumps straight out?

    O que ele passa na borracha de vedação? Vaselina?

    • @MillerMedeiros
      @MillerMedeiros 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Não pode usar vaselina em borracha! (diminui a vida útil)
      Ele usou um produto chamado “Lube Tube” - é tipo uma graxa de silicone com PTFE para bucha / retentor / anel vedante / o-ring - existem produtos similares para equipamentos de mergulho e piscina.
