MAP TACTICS in War Thunder - Ash river KEY POSITIONS for realistic tank battles

- In this video I explain my map tactics in War Thunder realistic tank battles ash river. I reccommend some key positions I use on the map ash river and explain my map tactics. Where I go to in realistic tanks battles in War Thunder depends on if I have an utpier or a downtier match.

Please be aware:
_ This strategy works best for low and midtier tanks. Modern battle tanks have to be played differently. When you spawn too late, or for the second time the key positions might already be occupied by the enemy.
_ I like to play tanks that have a gun depression. Other tanks, like the Russian tanks, can also consider these strategies, but have to use other spots.
_ At this moment I will only explain the game mode domination, because it is more complex and more frequent than the other modes
_ I recommend to play as a support in a full uptier match and to brawl in a full downtier match. Considering this, I planned the routes and key positions as followed:
_ Gaijin may have changed the names of the capture points. So I refer on the names as shown in this video.

This map is very fun to play for me, at least with a team that understand that taking the hill will bring the enemy team to get sniped if caping b
I love this map, it is so versatile. Although I avoid the hill, it is a good position to oversee everything.

Your map on the right has A and C swapped about to how they actually are in game, so when you talk about A, you actually mean C. Your in game footage on the left has the cap names the right way around. Otherwise, a great vid, will check your channel for more like it.
Thank you very much. Yes I know. I refer to that in my pinned comment on the video. Problem is, that gaijin does some changes time by time. Like when they changed the name of the capture points. It would be some extra editing to change the names on the map. But I can try that.

One of the most dangerous yet highly rewarding routes in Ash River East Spawn is rushing g4 and killing anything that tries to go B. If nobody spots you, then you would be able to buy a lot of time for your teammates to cap B.
That's right. And this is way I use the other way to approach to B when I have to play as support from the west and hide behind that rock. Got destroyed a lot from g4. In my heavy tank I should be that slow that I can see you rushing there :-)

Yo, I love this map. So many nice Sniper Spots.
What are some good sniper spots and are they effective? For example the sniper hills aren't that effective in my opinion. They are actually dangerous because tanks and planes know there might be some enemies
@@McKonggaming I (when spawning on the East Team) like to go the higher side, specifically the A point(here, although when I normally get into a get that point is designated C), because
A. It's long-range, and I'm very used to using German Tanks, I use them a lot.
B. I can support the teammates trying to capture A/C, and if they get it, I can move up to it and do what I can to stop the flow of enemy reinforcements going to B.
I like supporting teammates from farther back, rather than being in the front lines.

How not to get your Ash kicked on Ash River.
You have no idea how difficult it was to say that name in the right way in the voice over 😀 pain in the ash
