    Exit 38 off i90, excellent access spots to the Snoqualmi river and full of sand banks with visible placer gold on the surface, great place to pan for fun and for bridge jumping.

      How do you know if it’s legal to Pan there?

    • @StevenHanover
      @StevenHanover 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@artt8381you can pan anywhere you want as long as its not in the salmon spawning beds or no trespassing signs.
      the winter waters are tearing through there right now, would be best to wait for low tide.

      @@StevenHanover there are strict regulations on gold panning in washington, you need to get the washington fish and gold pamphlet. You have to have it on you. It will tell you the rules. Then you have to make sure you're not on a claim. It could be public property and the mineral rights belong to the claim owner. It's best to join a prospecting club and go to their claims

    Great video!!!! Thank you for sharing how to properly pan for gold!!!! I've really been in to the Discovery Channel gold shows for many many years. My good friend Wendell used to work with Tony Beets up in the Yukon and make gold dredge equipment for the Beets crew. He's been on multiple episodes of Gold Rush. But I've always wondered the steps involved with properly panning. So thanks for sharing this video!! I'm actually considering giving Western Washington gold propecting a shot!!

    I have a place that’s on the top side of a skip bar that is refilled every year. All the heavies drop in the top end of a skip bars because the gold travels a few inches off the bottom and gets caught on the bottom bank edge of the skip bar. It’s essentially a gold trap for flooding gold

    You can use a cheap 200$ metal detector too locate the heavy black sand area's and the drop out boundary lines as it saves you at least a hour Worth of back breaking rock tossing and digging , hopefully that tip helps you, awesome time on the river, wishing you heavy pan's full of that Au✌️

    Flood gold has no a cumulating concentrated locations. Unless rewashed by waves of a lake or the ocean. And sometimes drops in elevation that ends in a giant eddy in the river were again waves move the lighter material down river. And leaves beads of blacksand. That is shifted to concentrate the gold more in one spot. Otherwise it's just blasted around. And is lost to having any redeemable value except for having some fun panning for a few colors. But it's all redundancy without a traditional rockerbox that has the old flexible aprons. And not the new age rockers that have solid pockets. As for that' all's you need is one goldpan and two people. With one constantly adding more material while the other works the pan. And is what I call industrial panning.

    • @GoldenPenniesProspecting
      @GoldenPenniesProspecting  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Head toward Liberty Washington and check out any of the rivers and creeks in that area. You will see lots of tailings piles from the original mining operations, but there is still gold in this area. Just be careful that you're not on anyone's claims or private land.

      You would think, but I've worked the river upstream and downstream on the spot and for some reason the velocity is just right and this one little area. Nothing upstream very little downstream
