Awww, your cute little doggy's face peeking through on the right of the screen, as you were showing us your Florida Ghost 🤗 Thank you for this amazing video. I am learning so much from you and, now that it's just about time for me to propagate some of my plants, I don't feel as nervous 🩵
You motivated me to chop and prop, and then I found spider mites, that was quite the emotional roller coaster I just went through 😭😂 Hope you can get the mealy bugs and spider mites under control 💚
My mom and sis came to visit and both left with over 30 plants and props lol the both was happy with there box full of plant u cant even see them my mom and sis are 4 /11 it look soo cute and now my mom call me to show them she is a violence domestic survivor and she get bad anxiaty she told me since then she been so busy care for the plant that she have not had a panik attack wish is amazinggg
I feel like I live vicariously through Fern by seeing the growth and cuttings of the monstera species! I can't wait to see how they grow. Great job Fern!!!
Eeeep I'm so excited for them to put out new leaves! The growth point on the mother monstera is getting bigger every day, it's so fun to watch already.
Can I just say how much I love seeing Olive's sweet little face right next to her momma looking at you so endearingly 😍🥰 Literally the cutest and sweetest thing ☺ Also, chopping and propping is so much fun and therapeutic especially during the cold months...helps me survive winter blues 🥶💚🌱🪴
About the thai con: I got mine exactly 8 weeks ago as a single baby leaf rooted cutting... She's in normal room temp&humidity in Montreal. She's unfurling her third leaf right now. I think you just have a dud!! Yes get another one!
I am so glad I am not the only one scissor happy lately. I’ve cut up so many of my plants. And given away so many plants to friends and family… I’m running out of people to give plants to lol.
Fern YES it’s time to grab a new Thai Constellation, I’m not afraid to say it!! You deserve a better plant- something’s up w yours it’s been through so much. Much love xoxo
👀👀I'm kind of blown away at how much growth you've gotten from that albo in the last year or so! Like, if you'd have told me after watching one of your older videos, when we were all stressing over the health of that guy, that you would have a whole ROOM full of albos I probably would've rolled my eyes and said "yeah right, keep dreaming"🤣👌
Oh my it is beautiful and my dream plant! Can’t afford to put out that much for one plant but a girl can always dream and watch videos of her favorite plant! (I have regular monstera I am going to chop so I wanted to watch you do it)! You have Fab plants
loved the vid fern!! if you choose to it could be an awesome idea to add the lower arial root of the mid cut monstera to the pot just so it has a bit more access to nutrients and water🫶❤️
Love this. I traded my Thai con for an albo that had like 4 nodes, let it grown out some leaves, chopped it in half and now I have a tiny leaf off my albo wet stick. Now I wanna see if I can trade it for a Thai con 🤪
Albo is def the very top of my wish list dream plant atm. I know I’d be mega stressed though if I had one, always fretting and trying to make sure literally nothing goes wrong since they’re so expensive and sought after :,)
Omg one more comment. I am so sorry about all the urgent things that’s been going on! I’m so stressed out for you babe. You GOT THIS. You’re going to demolish those darn bugs and fungus 😭 💪 ❤
Question. When growing on a plank, do you put the plank inside or outside the pot? How would you keep the wood from rotting if in the pot? Thank you. You make me smile.
Fun video as always! Question about the majestic section with two leaves from the same node…I’ve heard people say this would be considered a “spent node” since there has already been growth from the place where the auxiliary bud would typically be located. Have you ever dealt with this before? I have a melano cutting like this now and am not sure if it will produce new growth or not? 🤷🏻♀️ Just waiting and watching on mine…
Good old water also works great with Monstera Albo cuttings. I would have potted up that aerial root as well as it would have provided additional support for the plant. Aaah I see you did try add place it inside the pot after 🥲🙈 any Gloriosum tips, mine is not doing anything 😭 also Olive is the Cutest 😍
The problem with chopping is once you chop one plant about 10 others are gonna get the chop too 😂 its the serotonin i need!! Just went manic and chopped my billietiae and variegated hederaceum watching your video
Wow!! Your albo cuttings look amazing 😻 You need a small handheld broom and dustpan for your soil on your potting mat when you’re putting it back in the pot 😆 All of the things going on with your plants right now are good opportunities for videos 🤍 You look great Fern 🤍🤗
I would’ve gone with the smaller base and the longer plastic pipe. Obviously, roots want to go deeper into the ground and it’s better to start them higher up in the pot 🙂
Boo for mealy bugs but omg I love all your new propagations. It's spring here down under. It's kind of a pain that it's at the end of the growing season that my plants need a chop but the cuttings would do better at the start of the growing season. Such is life.
question - when you add osmocote to your potting mix, do you still occasionally fertilize with liquid fertilizer? i was on the no fertilizer in my potting mix train for so long, but felt like my plants weren't getting all the nutrients they needed. So i started lightly fertilizing my mix with osmocote and some worm castings, and still fertilize at half or quarter strength when i water. curious to see what works for you!!
my regular large form monstera is my pride and joy--shes so big and looks amazing and i cant wait to have an albo one day so i can have two queens in one room
Can you please tell us where you got those blueish, plastic pole secure things? Sorry. Don't know what they're called. You put them inside the moss pole to secure them. Thanks!
I've heard that about philo majestic too! Definitely NOT my experience either🤷 I got mine with maybe two smallish leaves ( but pretty well rooted already) and it started putting out new growth instantly and hasn't slowed down AT ALL! Such a rewarding plant! It sizes up super quick as well👌❤
Hi I really enjoyed your video in the cuttings of the beatiful MONSTERA .When you do your sell on the plant I would like to know to buy one. Thanks for the nice video.
Oh no! Not Superthrive on a variegated plant. I did that to my Florida Beauty cutting and it reverted. Superthrive fixes the variegation and causes the green to thrive.
Hey! I was wondering if you have ever tried a 50/50 perlite and vermiculite mix in a prop box? I recently switched to this out of curiosity after using only perlite for ages and while I hade great success with perlite, something about adding the vermiculite has taken my success rate from 75-80% to nearly 100%. I’ve even had alocasia cuprea and black velvet corms shoot out crazy roots in less than a week in this stuff… I’m just curious to see if anyone else has had this experience or if this is just a fluke of sorts lol.
The top cutting should continue on with mature leaves but what's left at the bottom (ie. anything that's not a top cutting) will likely start back with immature leaves.
Is true i leave my heat at 70 all day and night and is very comftable i used to turn it on and ooff on and off and my bill was high i call my heat company and they told to leave it at certain setting and leave the heat alone did it andy bill been better 🥰🥰🥰
Lmfao 5 seconds later you attempted to put the aerial in… just the tip would go I just guide them down all the time and they push into the dirt ! Ok I’ll stop commenting now 😅😂❤ 💋
Question Fern. When you chop up these plants do you it them up to have more plants or chop them to sell? I don’t get the idea of having multiples of the same plant.
I don't usually chop them to sell. I chop for a few reasons. 1 - to make a plant more full 2 - to start over again because I'm not happy with how the plant is looking 3 - to start over with larger cuttings, trying to increase the size/maturity of the plant I don't usually keep multiples of the same plant, so in that case I will sometimes sell or give away the extra(s)
One of the reasons i tend to not buy plants that needs to climb or grow in a 360 cause of there growing structures. And moss poles or lazy poles just don’t look good as part of a decor in my home and there long aerial roots. I would end up chopping them off for a cleaner look. I always prefer plants trailing and growing upright.

About the thai con: I got mine exactly 8 weeks ago as a single baby leaf rooted cutting... She's in normal room temp&humidity in Montreal. She's unfurling her third leaf right now. I think you just have a dud!! Yes get another one!
I love this video so much! I love the chaotic energy that takes over us plant peeps sometimes to just chop the shit out of everything in sight 😂🤣
yessss hahah it's a mood ✂️
Lol classic plant person😂 doesn’t have enough space yet makes 30 new plants in 30 minutes😂😂
Yepppp and I'm chopping up more lol idk where they are gonna go!
@@wildfern you could hang them like string lights from the roof and attach Christmas lights to them 😂❤💚
@@wildfern I can send you my address! 😆😆
😂😂😂
I personally would put all the albo cuttings together in the same pot, to make a bushier plant!🍀
what is your skincare/makeup routine? you skin is GLOWING and i’m obsessed!!

I struggle not to point out you look stunning in every video, don't want to sound like a creep but 😍 such a beauty ❤️ okay I'm done 😂
I just got my first Monstera Albo cutting two days ago from Northshore and this is just inspiring me! Can't wait for it to grow that big one day!
Ahh that is awesome! That's where mine was originally from too :)

Can you please tell us where you got those blueish, plastic pole secure things? Sorry. Don't know what they're called. You put them inside the moss pole to secure them. Thanks!
You mentioned the middle cut not having a lot of roots, I feel like youcould have wound that bottom areal root into the pot to increase root growth.

Is there gonna be another growth point on the cutting with two leaves majestic?
Oh no! Not Superthrive on a variegated plant. I did that to my Florida Beauty cutting and it reverted. Superthrive fixes the variegation and causes the green to thrive.
Go with perlite. Moss is a mess to get off.
I‘d totally would have bent down the aerial root into the substrate.
Choppy chop! Lol 😂

Why didn’t you direct that long aerial root into the pot on the first one you potted up? You should still do that.
And why are you worried about the gap if it’s doing so well!? 😂 that’s so me. It’s so clear watching in that it’s fine but I would do the same thing.

I don't usually keep multiples of the same plant, so in that case I will sometimes sell or give away the extra(s)
Hi! What size is your potting mat? I was looking at your links and thinking about getting one. Is it the small one? Thanks
The one I'm using is size large :)
Has anyone ever successfully planted an albo cutting that just had one big juicy aerial root??
Where can I buy that kind of mods pole, or how to make own my own by making the moss stick to the pole with wires?
the moss pole is from here: trofolia.com
@@wildfern thank you so much!
