- There are around 500,000 Buddhists who have live in the UAE, a majority of whom are from Sri Lanka. In this video I visit the Mahamevnawa Buddhist Monastery, the UAE’s only Buddhist temple, and here is what we saw.

Is it only a sign or symbol in Buddhism .
For example we Hindus worship idols so we make idols in temples.
Islam , Christianity , Judaism and Sikhism don't believe in idol worship so you wont find any idol in their places of worship.
So why do you build Buddha statues if you dont worship him ?

Buddhism is not a picture to be seen by the eyes. It is an absolutely fascinating philosophy to be seen by a purely intelligent open mind, which is not blocked/brainwashed by the other religions. 2:193-“Fight against them (unbelievers) until there is no dissension, and the religion is for Allah.”
Fight until no other religion exists but Islam.
2:218-“But those who believe and those who migrate and struggle in the way of Allah, those, have hope of the mercy of Allah.”
Those who fight for Allah may have hope of forgiveness.
3:10-“Those who disbelieve, neither their riches nor their children shall save them from Allah. They shall become the fuel of the fire.”
3:19-“The only true faith in God’s sight is Islam. Those to whom the book was given disagreed among themselves only after knowledge had been given to them, being insolent among themselves. He who disbelieves the verses of Allah indeed Allah is swift in reckoning.”
3:28-“The believers should not take the unbelievers as friends or helpers in preference to the believers. He who does this does not belong to Allah in anything, unless you have a fear of them.”

Respecting other religions is all feel-good warm and fuzzy. However, it's really sad when you realize what Muslims and Christians really think about these other religions they seem to be 'respecting'. Both Muslims and Christians believe in the harshest of punishments in the afterlife for being "idolaters" and not worshipping the right god in the right way.

I wanna correct something
The flowers represent our lifes. Even though they are beautiful and smells good eventually they gonna die like us. At our younger ages we are also like these beautiful flowers but we are also going to get old and die. So as we see flowers we remind ourselves about that we are all gonna die someday.
The light of the lamps and 'pahan' represents the ways we die.
correct this is the correct explanation should be given

කායො තථායාති විනාසභාවං.

Hi Khalid Its great to see you visiting a Buddhist Temple. Thought of giving you little bit more information to improve the understanding you gained at the temple, perhaps to clear some misconceptions as well.
I may put it in the following way with all my respect to everyone who gave you some information in the video.
Genuine Buddhists don't blame the novices for their incapability in explaining the dhamma meaningfully, instead they encourage the novices to study it intensively and give their fullest cooperation to practice it. So our duty is to visit them frequently and guide them towards this objective.
According to ancient Indian culture people collect their hands together and showed their respect in return to accepting something precious from a superior person. This is called worshipping.
Buddhists worship Load Buddha because He is the only Supreme human being who taught the world the most precious thing which is the way to eliminate human suffering - distress and stress.
Buddhists worship the Buddha statue not with the intention of paying respect to a cement or clay structure but keeping in mind the person who is represented by that. They believe in the supreme knowledge or wisdom of the Buddha (pragngna) unlike all other devotees who believe in the power of a God.
They light oil lamps to symbolize the wisdom of the Buddha, without light we are in darkness and we can't see anything clearly.
The Bodhi tree is another symbol of the Buddha’s enlightenment and it is worth worshipping. It is said that underneath the physical Bodhi tree itself is a place of relief because its leaves have long tip which can influence human beings to mitigate their worries and because the trees planted in sacred places are related to the original one in India under which the Buddha attained enlightenment.
The Buddhists offer flowers ‘to the Buddha’ to remind themselves that our lives get sick at the end and fade away whether we are powerful, strong or beautiful so much so that the flowers -such a beautiful thing of nature filled with fragrance - surely wither away. In turn we contemplate ‘if so why should we fight?’
Buddhists offer food (dana) to the Buddha statue imagining the offering of food to the living Buddha and thereby acquire plenty of merit. On the other hand the Buddha, innumerable times in his past lives, had offered for the benefit of others his food, his eyes, blood, body and his own life. It is believed that because of these meritorious activities He is still receiving things even after his death.
In short Buddhism means ‘abandon all sins, do good and tame the mind’. Taming the mind must be dealt with separately .

Fight until no other religion exists but Islam.

Those who fight for Allah may have hope of forgiveness.
3:10-“Those who disbelieve, neither their riches nor their children shall save them from Allah. They shall become the fuel of the fire.”

Buddhism teaches to live with the real world. Teach about cause and effect. The cause of its occurrence - exists and ends. The Buddha taught us to help others. compassion, patience and know forgiveness.
Because humans are born differently. No one is born perfect. Therefore, every action has a different reason. Therefore, Buddhism teaches us to understand this (cause and effect).
