@@drac00la Yes and no lol! On one side we think pouring the hot water on the tea bag would definitely help in brewing it more but also it just doesn't make sense to do water first, it's like pouring milk before cereal to us 😂

I'm American, but my family is Caribbean, and, honestly, I was just as scandalized to see Arsema's tea-making process 😅😅 I don't even really drink tea that much but I still have an electric kettle, and tea bags always go first.

I am west Indian from a British colony and though I don't understand Arsema's way of making tea. It's her way. The entire making tea or even cooking in the microwave is troubling but that is some people's way of doing things.
Even the actors reactions are reminiscent of their characters! India being the Queen she is not afraid to show her displeasure at how scandalous Lady Danburry/Arsema is making her tea. Meanwhile just George/Corey makes it in the traditional British way. 😂
They couldn't be more different from their characters imo. So much more relaxed, funny and carefree

@@AnnJo-gq8gu Exactly that's my point! They were acting and did a great job! I've watched some of their interviews and they seem different from their characters imo. For example Corey seems to be an extrovert while George is an introvert and other details like that.

I love Arsema! You can tell she's super nice and that friend that you can laugh at and will not get offended. Tbh, I make tea the Arsema and India way. 😅 and the point is just getting hot water. I do prefer to pour the water directly on the tea bag. I never put creamer unless in drinking chai tea.

I drink tea mostly like India as a person of Far East Asian descent who grew up in Australia, mostly black unless it's Bubble Tea but I judged when I say no milk or sugar. Exceptions to milk and sugar being added in are also added to when I want a Chai made by my Southasian friends hands.

I definitely microwave the water first and then add the tea bag lol. I like just a pinch of sugar and sometimes I add cream
Ok. The way I make my tea. No matter what the container is. The tea bag preparing is the same while the tea making is different depending on the tea.
So I first put the bag in (I love a no string tea bag, makes life easier), then I add my water. If it’s something like green tea, peach tea, something naturally sweet I just add 2 spoon fulls of sugar. Now if it’s something like earl grey or black tea I add honey and sugar.
Though I prefer herbal teas with no caffeine over the others. And I hate peppermint tea.
+points if some tea leaves seeped to the bottom. Because I do witchcraft and I’d say I’m an expert or very skilled in divination so I read the tea leaves as if it’s my daily news/oracle

Microwaved water doesnt stay hot for long. Regular kettle then electric kettle, pot, then microwave only in dire straits.

im just disturbed at how they ALL make tea incorrectly! don't squeeze your tea bags or leave them in too long!! that is why your tea gets bitter!! you don't need sugar or cream to sweeten it if you steep it properly ugghh
