Favorite stops on ST SIMONS ISLAND! 🏝️ (more of Georgia’s Golden Isles)

Another day, another island on Georgia’s coast! This week we are visiting St. Simons Island. 🏝️
We start off our time on the island by doing a trolley tour around learning about a lot of the island’s history and seeing famous landmarks like Christ Church, Frederica and the Bloody Marsh battle site. ⛪️
Once we got off of the trolley, we went straight to St. Simons lighthouse where we climbed up A LOT of steps to see the view from the top of lighthouse and spent some time in the museum afterwards, mainly to cool off while we learned some interesting facts. 🥵
We learned during our trolley tour that the island has lots of tree spirits (basically cool carvings in trees) so we walked around trying to see how many we could spot but then we got a bit toasty in the one hundred degree heat so we got some froyo to cool off and headed to our next stop, Fort Frederica State Park. 🍦
Our time at Fort Frederica was cut a BIT short and you’ll have to watch to find out why!
