Its not favouritism. She's more overprotective over boji. She's just to strict and overprotective after thinking that's what a queen and royalty should be. She just babies boji more than daida in a overbearing kind of way like telling of for duelling with the sticks because she thinks its to dangerous for boji.

Let's just say the motives for the characters in this show are not black and white. There is a lot of gray areas which makes for amazing character arcs and development!
It always baffles me people who think and lead with emotionally reactive thought processes. There are multiple observable moments of ACTION (which always tell you the most of a persons character and inner feelings/thoughts) of Hiling showing she cares for Bojji. Caring, empathy, love and positive emotions are also not always displayed in the most productive ways, especially in relationships like those between parental figures and their children. I did enjoy the reaction don't get me wrong, but being a bit more flexible and nuanced in your thinking and judgement of these characters would absolutely be recommended.
