I work from home and listened to the pod about 3 weeks ago for the first time....I've listened to just about every episode even going back 3 years because it's the perfect comedic background noise and the baby Polee boys' cameos are immediate "Awwww-" generators.

I was molested by my uncle ( by marriage) from ages 9-14 and When I told, my whom family turned on me, and they treated me bad because of that, them telling other family members that I was liar, and I break up families, etc. which opened the door for the other men in the family to try and do the same, because according to them, no one would believe me anyway. I have been fighting my whole life. I’m 43 now and there’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think about it, a sound, a smell, anything can trigger a thought of what happened. And certain family members have been trying to reach out to me and re connect with me as if nothing happens, and just their phone calls or text messages triggers my anxiety through the roof like I can’t breathe, my chest gets tight, etc.
with all of that being said, it’s a very difficult and tricky situation. Just know that getting it out, doesn’t make everything else go away. I just pray that you have a supportive family.
The final question: TELL. All of the family repercussions are NOT your fault. That's the offenders fault. That burden is on the OFFENDER! Protect your conscience and your younger siblings!

I got injured when my brother was tickling me and I reared my head back and in seconds it slammed in this big platform on the patio. Knocked my front tooth out. 🙃
Sheesh! My boys were 10 and 9 taking out my moms trash. My oldest being a " boy" swung the bag of trash to throw it in the dumpster, not knowing my 9 yr old was behind him. the bag hit my son on the chin. and broken glass was in there. it slit my sons chin open! 13 stiches later and being 17 yrs old now, the scar is still there.
Mannn, same situation but I hit my head on the edge of the coffee table and it split open. My mom just put peroxide on it,since we didn’t have insurance. I just knew my brains were going to fall out. 😂😂😂 I still have the scar.

There’s an episode of Law & Order SVU entitled, ‘Gridiron Solider’, that deals with assault. Powerful episode for sure. I definitely recommend it. (Season 15, episode 16).

Favorite podcast out there right now. Hilarious episode, and respect to you guys for handling the sensitive topics/questions as seriously as you do the ridiculous hypothetical ones...completely agreed with DC on that last question about the family member. Chazz going with Scar is also completely on brand. Every time I start to think "I might actually like Chazz" you see that side that you just can't trust.
