So I grew up in Reno and if you went into some of the casinos you'd just find magicians doing card tricks and such just walking around, and I never knew if they were hired by the casino or they were contractors or it was just some guy that wandered in off the street. They didn't have an angle like they weren't asking for money or passing out business cards, if they weren't employees I think they were just lonely. It's stuff like this why Disneyland doesn't let you dress up if you're over 12
I have to say I like this and on the note of ageism... some of it is that the old person sees it as beneath them. Like my dad sees paper maps as vastly superior to GPS and he is very good at using a map. But if you need to find something the GPS dominates he challenged me to find 100 things faster than he could with a map thinking I would get 5 at most... I got 97 of them. This was after we went on a road trip where he spent 265 dollars on maps and only used them 3 times once shouting "Give me a map! Give me a map! I need a map!" when he had one in his bag. I just looked it up on my phone and while the life directions it gave me did turn out wrong I told my mom to drive straight to the place as he just screamed expletives about how lost we are.
