Holy shit! Just listened to this again, and again it brought me to tears! What an amazing man Stuart was, such a loss. What an amazing talent Kirsten is, young lady you have single handedly given an old bloke hope for the future of music! What is it with the water on the British Isles to produce so many of the worlds great talents. Thank you Kirsten
Beautiful! When the original came out off the album ... The Crossing ... it was 1983. I was 23 years old living in Roanoke, Virginia USA! I became a flight attendant in 1982, for a major US carrier. This song was my personal anthem ... as I came from a small town and was beginning to see the world. This is one of my favorite songs of ALL TIME!
Crikey Kirsten, i just keep coming back to this, just staggeringly beautiful, brings a 70 year old bloke to tears. Gotta say the tone on that Tele is amazing! Your Dad's group was a breath of fresh air awash in a sea of disco electronics when they exploded onto the music scene!
Beautiful lady and songbird! beautiful tribute to your Dad! I just started listening to Big Country was born in 1981-dont remember some epic groups! For your Dad smiles down on you from the land of the ancestors! Keep the music strong! With Much Love and smiles a fan from Kentucky -US :)
DAMN girl! I was a teenager when BC was on MTV and I loved their sound, especially the raw, unadulterated purity of your father's voice. Your vocals have the same quality
Fantastic performance saw your mom and dad outside the kinema ballroom in Dunfermline after the concert, we passed your dad waiting on the bus heading to the concert. Happy days
Wow, normally only Judith Durham can bring me to tears, but you succeeded, extraordinarily rare company to be in! What a talent Stuart was, and what a talent you are!
grrat cover your dad will be looking down proud....had a bit craic on with him outside the Newcastle city hall in the peace in our time tour,( i'm Sunderland so don't mention the 'G' word ) said he'd took you's to see new kids on the block the previous week i laughed and said was it bad ? he said it wasn't as bad as he thought it was going to be laughing back at me ....i could see the love he had for you and your brother , take care and your dad will be looking down proud as punch of you's both , still have the picture of me and him on my sideboard outside the city hall stage door ( my hair is like the wild man of Bornio as i was jumping up and down in the mosh for 2.5 hrs ! ) Your Dad will live in peoples hearts forever x.
Your name will never die, Stuart Adamson

I had the pleasure of meeting Kirsten at the Voodoo Lounge in Edinburgh . A lovely young lady and a wonderful singer .
Very cool, she gave the song a hopeful and sweet tone. Really made her own version.
Beautiful Kirsten 💙👏🏻

Class Class absolutely Class 🎶🎶🎶👌🇬🇧🇬🇧
Great arrangement and performance.
You need to join Big Country and take your father's place. Such a great talent you are your father would have been proud of you.
If Kirsten joined BC for one tour with Tony back on bass - i'd break the door down to see it - Stuart RIP
Great voice
this is special
The interlude at the very beginning reminds me of Miles David “In a Silent Way”…. ❤
So good. Just that.
All good here

I think we’ve found the new lead singer of Big Country- can you just imagine the reinterpretation of all those classic songs ???
Beautiful singing and music; but the tele is far too loud for the echo!
