TD is a big one here ! Hard to find a storefront in the USA for them tho. Thankfully we use more than one banking institution between the two of us for situations like these (if I remember to bring our other cards haha)
I know this is late. But in the future when you can’t find a swap for propane, go to UHaul because they refill your propane. It’s cheaper than swapping.
I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve had my own bank lock one of my cards for purchases I was making. It’s the entire reason I now use multiple banks so that I don’t get stuck because my bank is trying to “protect” me.
Oh crazy !! Yeah it wasn’t the most fun moment lol. Yah we have a couple banks we use for that reason too, 2 is 1 and 1 is none! Thanks much for watching & your comment!
Haha !! Living on a boat is tough work for sure ! Lots of people don’t realize how the simplist things like grocery shopping and laundry are 100x more complicated on a boat lol
Haha always ! Provisioning is a ton of work ; you’re shopping for multiple months in one afternoon - it’s exhausting ! The sundowner helps to relax (and forget about how much $ you spent lol)
Very interesting episode🤓I will watch a few times over.I bought like 140$ at Walmart mostly cans and went back for more cans and some things like razors, alcohol and hydrogen peroxide, bandaides, flour, pasta and whatever I could think of and it was a mental overload 😝this was for my house not a boat and went from my car trunk into my house!!What you done is exhausting for one day.Sailboat Story did a great episode on groceries on their boat, how to have a system and she Wrote down where each thing -was so they could find it later.I would save the receipts and mark off an item that was used so you know what you used and had left.👍👍Good Episode 😊
Isn’t it crazy how expensive things get!! And yeah it was a very tiring day doing it all in one! Gotta take advantage of being able to use a vehicle when we can! Yup it can be tough to remember where you have things for sure lol! We saw SS’s video too :) they’re great !
Meow you're cooking' with propane! 😂 I've never been on an HR 352, but I was wondering how much standing headroom there is in the aft cabin. It is difficult to tell from photos, etc.
100% but some places they don’t allow you to, they require a swap so that they can maintain the tanks so they will last longer for more people . So - that’s a good idea too 👌
Better than cost in Bahamas let alone not finding it there. Spare parts are expensive but not when you need them in mid ocean or small island chain with no items in stock or a store at all
@@sailingjoco One of the last time we were in the Bahamas, the tiny supermarket the size of a 7-11 had no bread of any kind, no milk, no yogurt, (I spent a month looking for plain Greek yogurt once), no hamburger, no chips, no diet soda… what they do have is pretty expensive. We do a big stock up too. Thanks for your video.
Thanks for your comment Kathy! Yah it’s tough to find the foods we’re used to in the Bahamas - can’t believe we have found eggs for $12/dozen here! Insanity! I love yogurt in the morning too - one of our friends has a small yogurt maker on board , and they use powdered milk etc to make it. Might be an idea to try!
@@sailingjoco great idea to stock up outside Bahamas since it is very expensive. It seems like a lot but you need variety! Oh and never too much beer - you need beer on hand if someone pops over to visit and for your sanity!!
Ive never heard of TD Bank. Thank god whenever i call my bank someone actually still answers the phone.

Provisioning days are such a pain but it’s so satisfying to have a fully stocked boat!! And you guys did it all in time for a sundowner 😎🙌
Priorities my friend !!!!! ;-) we ALWAYS make it in time for sundowners 😂😂😂

Oh really ! That’s a great tip thanks for sharing !
Refrigerator space is precious
Yes !!! Especially on our boat.
Do you have a sailboat? What’s your fridge like ?
Since this episode we’ve added a portable freezer which is amazing !
Good luck , enjoy your trip
Thanks for your comment & hope you’ll enjoy our Bahamas series !

What a gong show that was! Glad you got back to the boat before sunset!!
Haha !! Living on a boat is tough work for sure ! Lots of people don’t realize how the simplist things like grocery shopping and laundry are 100x more complicated on a boat lol
I remember when we use to off grid camping with my wife and three kids for three weeks costing us $500.00 aus dollars
Yah , good is getting expensive !! Luckily we’re able to use a lot of canned and dry items ; harder to do while camping methinks. Need burgers !! Lol
I'm a newbie here. But not a newbie to sailing channels. I have subscribed. Hugs from Texas 😎🩷
Thanks Bobbie !! We’re happy to have you here :)
I like the canvas bags hanging for snacks idea! 😜
They work great !!! Just a lil annoying until you eat em ;-)
a cart full of beer! sounds like winning.
Haha ! Cheaper than in the Bahamas :) also helps us to not go out as much. But we’ll see how that goes lol
Good luck! Love you made Sundowners a priority!

Provisioning isn’t much fun but you guys made it great. Keep up the great vlogs!!!
Aw thanks you guys! We appreciate you watching & commenting :)

When are going to the Bahamas? Will you be there during hurican season?
Videos are a bit behind, you can stay more up to date on our Instagram to see where we are right now!

Not too much standing room back there , mostly sitting and laying down sleeping 😂👌 but can sit up and not hit my head (mostly) haha
It's better to refill than swap propane tanks.

Too much bier chaps !!!🤣🤣 btw, nice new intro 👍👍💪💪
Thanks for noticing ! We are gonna be revamping it still in the next little while here. Trying to get caught up is a lot of work! But we enjoy it
Wow!!! How many months are you provisioning for?
3 months in the Bahamas ! Gonna be great
Very nice video 👍
Thank you!
Oh second trip was 140$ too 😮
It never ends !! Hahaha

Exactly ! You gotta do the big stock up before heading to the islands for sure ; random things like paper towel are astronomically expensive !!
Living on a sailboat in St Maarten over $2000 a month for necessities for 2! I am hoping Florida is a bit less!
Wow, that is a lot of food.
Haha yup !! Hoping to not spend so much in the Bahamas - we’ve heard it’s expensive and stock up before you go !!

The problem is you are doing this in Riviera Beach area. You needed to drive outside of that area.
Where would have been better to go ? All suggestions welcome!
@@sailingjoco There is also a Costco right around there on North Lake as well
OoOoO good to know if we go back that way, thanks !
Wow. Why are you so angry?? Crazy!
Angry ?
I don't follow. You are leaving civilisation. So you are leaving the Carib for USA.
No, leaving USA (puerto Rico - a USA territory) for the Caribbean. Will be leaving Costco and big box stores for the most part
Bargain these days
Is it ?!?! Wow , didn’t think it could get any more expensive ☹️
