    Love watching your commentaries my man! They really help me learn the meta decks and how to play against them. Thanks!

    That was a close one, I think the Shanks might have played differently if he had seen other cards, I feel like his hand forced him to be very aggressive. That play Kaya, play Law, bounce Kaya and Law play was actually pretty genius. Don't think I would have seen that

    • @atrocioustcg
      @atrocioustcg  8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The shanks deck I feel like it’s just more aggro, as what you should probably do in the matchup

      @atrocioustcg If he could have dropped 8c Rayleigh on curve there may have been a slower but safer way to play. Gotta say I'm not quite convinced of Strawhat Shanks yet, but the concept is definatly interesting

    Man the top comment instantly spoiling every single time is so aggravating

      Genuine question, do you typically look at comments before the video starts or is it just the UI on the device you watch? Personally I never look at comments until a video is over, but that may be the minority

    • @atrocioustcg
      @atrocioustcg  8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Just wondering if I should make & pin a comment instantly to avoid this from happening in the future!

    • @imattypattyi
      @imattypattyi 8 วันที่ผ่านมา +6

      On mobile it populates with the ads/beginning of video simultaneously. Often spoiling, even if only at a glance

    • @imattypattyi
      @imattypattyi 8 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      I never seek out the comments prior to the gameplay

      @@imattypattyi very interesting, thank you for letting me know about this & explaining it to me. I’ll start pinning a comment of mine in tournament videos to help avoid it at least at the start of matches 🫡

    That was insane that he ended up with just the right amount of counter... good move on the counter searchin. And how lucky! 🤯 lol

    Quite interesting to see how different this OP-10 / starter deck version of Shanks is from my OP-09 version.

      It’s super unique, and I wonder if it catches on in Japan / the west

    If the Shanks kept his Makino, couldn't he have juiced up his Nami 1 cost to 5k, and then with that Luffy, give the rested don to leader so then he can do a 5k swing with Nami, a 14k swing with the luffy restand the don, and then finish off with a 7k swing from leader. Does that not get him the win?

    • @atrocioustcg
      @atrocioustcg  8 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      The way he went held 7-9-9, & the 13k counter was exact math to get out of it. 5k Nami, 14k from Luffy is 8 don which is all but two 1ks so yeah, actually that method would have done it I think (if I did it all correctly)

    • @stpcristofer7550
      @stpcristofer7550 8 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I was thinking somewhat the same thing, im like man if he kept the Makino he could boosted the luffy all the way for a 18k swing and the rest with Lead for another 6k if the 18k wasn’t enough 🤣

    I wanted the Shanks to win but wow that last Doffy turn was something else just loading the hand with exactly enough to survive.

  • @angrypandable

    So Shanks could have won if he countered differently on Doffys last turn. If he countered with the 2k diable Sanji instead of Makino then next turn he plays Makino and goes 5 with Nami, 15 with Luffy and 6 with leader the Doffy would lose being short 1k counter. Of course Shanks thought the bigger threat were Boa blockers so he kept the Sanji over the Makino, but it was close.

    Props to the doffy player on gathering counter power in that final turn
