    The worst thing about getting good is to know that your favorite deck is not good.

      Just play your favorite deck better than they play meta decks. Easy.

    I call it the honor system. Been doing it for 25 years. Solo Play, to see your and the opps decks strengths/weaknesses has worked extremely well for a very long time, since back long before we had sim and other online ccg tools. The channel is great my dude keep up the hard work!

    Something I learnt was playing different deck's every week for locals was fun however you won't win because working full time plus putting time to master a deck in a week is near impossible so when I played a deck 3 weeks in a row i started winning locals

    I always thought that playing alone with 2 decks was a bit strange even if I did it a few times. The fact that you say is good thing makes me want to do it more than using ranked games in the sim

    as a person who has played every single leader in the game for a few hundred to a few thousand hours like on some meta decks i like, i feel like practicing your opponents deck is the best thing you can possibly do in this card game, and make sure to study every single way the deck can be built, ive won countless games because i knew for a fact that they couldnt defend or get out of what i was doing, or that i could make an entire plan because i know whats in their hand, ive even been able to guess my opponents hand and every draw a few matches, and one time i guessed my opponents exact hand and his next draw and then search and he auto conceded and i guessed his exact life i never saw him come back to the card shop after that, it was a zoro mirror and i had just practiced the deck for a month and a half every day for 15 hours straight to know what i wanted to buy, i had been guessing my own hand to help my mulligans but i never expected to guess someone elses so perfectly

    Really amazing content here, especially for new players or new competitive players wanting to improve skillsets. Though, I will disagree on grinding games being bad. You did touch on it, and I agree quality > quantity due to bad habits, but, proper grinding, can be extremely helpful, especially at the beginning of a meta. But this is definitely for more experienced players, players who recognize their bad habits and adjust them, etc, but I do think grinding can be a very useful tool.

    Regarding the open-hand two player practice, do you actively abuse the fact that you can see the hand? E.g. opponent has no 2ks so I only swing 6k, or do you play how you would normally play?

    • @ikailakai
      @ikailakai  4 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      You would play normally, just taking for account answers the opponent can have. In a real game you can't know if the opponent has no 2ks unless they gave a tell, so you want to simulate a game that's close to real, just without mistakes to the scope of the knowledge you are given. 3 Player practice mends this a bit it this feels awkward

    I also find learning more from watching videos of people playing than from playing on the sim idk why tho. Like on the sim I see how opponents play and compare that to the videos of high level players from regionals etc. and i know exactly what my opponent does wrong. So it doesnt feel gratifying to win knowing that if that was a serious match i probably wouldnt have that tempo i get from their mistakes. Also, could you make a video on how to beat nami? I just cant wrap my head around this deck. And as always ty for the video
