Neil Voss the composer of this soundtrack was inspired by his work, and tried implementing his style into this soundtrack, so yes, thats why it kinda sounds like Aphex Twin.

Wow, this one is clearly inspired by Aphex Twin's Selected Ambient Works. Also reminiscent of Aphex's track "On."
