I am still in utter disbelief that the Kingcobra is so ridiculously undertiered that it is seeing Hurricanes, Mk. I Spitifires, and P-39s, its predecessor.
@alterego2421More like it takes a particular kind of person to fly such an ugly looking plane. Seriously I Don't even mean that the aircraft itself is calculate it's just that camo......why did they have to do my boy so dirty.
@alterego2421 The King Cobra In the American tech tree is too ugly so most people don't play it, there are way too many way more famous and way more beautiful aircraft at it's BR, I mean this is where you get the mustangs and Thunderbolts after all so the grand majority of people just kind of skip it. Now I'm not saying that the aircraft itself is necessarily ugly, I'll be at It does have very strong competition when it comes to beauty after all it is still being pitted against something like the mustang or the lighting so it was never going to win a beauty competition but the camo it gets as standard It's the real problem it is just terrible absolutely terrible. This inevitably means that The ones who actually play it are either the people who are Just testing out a new aircraft and are very unlikely to stick to it because again, It's just incredibly aesthetically ugly. Or history buffs who want it more as a hangar decoration and will really only use it once in a blue moon. This means that it doesn't have a dedicated community like the mustangs or corsairs, it only has a transient community almost none of which ever stay long enough to actually learn how to use it correctly, this means That while on paper it might be rather powerful compared to most things at its BR, statistically it gets bodied almost all of the time. TLDR, aircraft itself is excellent, But it's so ugly that nobody's willing to play it long enough to actually learn how to play it correctly, so it has extremely low combat victory percentages.
You kids wanna hear something funny from a veteran? The mk1A mk2A and mk2B spitfires didn't always have the intense overheating issue. It was suddenly implemented in a patch and my favourite planes quickly changed into something I almost never touched again.
I think if u put your prop to like 80-85% it won’t overheat so easily, but that probably really impacts the performance. I just didn’t wanna be fiddling with the throttle all game when I played it lmao
It usually comes down to the automatic engine controls that are set up differently for every plane. Some planes close their radiators at 100% or WEP, which makes you fast but overheats your engine way to fast to be useful.
In more realistic sims like il2 you only fly up to 80 or 85% engine power depending on weather. The last 15% is where wep kick in. That last 15% is for short dogfight Think NOS. Its not for cruising
I can not believe that A6M2 in the first match failed to out turn the Spitfire and shoot it down. That's just sad. Also - a number of planes at/close to that BR can beat the Spitfire 1 on 1- if they have the right pilot who knows what they are doing. The 109F can match/pass the Spitfire in a turn, and I believe most/all the US fighters at about that range can roll in to the turn faster to get ahead and get a shot (though they'd likely have to quickly disengage to get range before the Spitfire can circle enough to get on their tail). Also - I'll admit that more often than not I prefer playing Arcade (just more fun usually) and at least there - some of us have bombs on our fighters if we see were losing and want to hit ground targets to try and win. Albeit the goal is to ditch the ordnance ASAP to shed the weight for a fight. Also depends on how far the enemy team has you guys pushed back on if it's better to bring it or not. Though some also just pack the bombs cause if they can get a hit on an enemy base, that then gets destroyed - it's a nice chunk of RP/SL to add to research, especially on longer grinds.
Arcade. Enough said.... Spitfire is a Hella potent aircraft, however the "MK1" only had 2 wooden props lol. Should try a fly out in the spitfire on sim, flatymcflatspin. Your right about the zero, dunno who the hell was flying that but looked like they were trying to bmz for some reason 🤔
Can you make a video on the way Xbox players are treated diffently by gaijin. Everyone was upset about the economy changes and I get that, but non Xbox players (so most the community)probably has no clue that Xbox players are constantly left out of sales… I didn’t utilize the golden eagle sale April 28-May 5 solely because all the TH-cam videos made it seem like everybody was going to get a discount on the packs… I was really excited to buy the F5-C and a second plane or maybe tank for a reasonable price, then may 5th came and every TH-camr was showing off these 50% sales and I got nothing. One of the planes where one should use manual engine control, mainly for controlling the oil and radiator cowl flaps to get better control on temps.
I think if u put your prop to like 80-85% it won’t overheat so easily, but that probably really impacts the performance. I just didn’t wanna be fiddling with the throttle all game when I played it lmao
Well, when you think about it, the plane is spitting fire. So it’s no surprise that it overheats
no WEP=no overheat
I'm suprised that you can do anthing with 7mm with this wild convergance. It looks like 600m.
I like to use 400m on 7mm
People: “the spit fire has bad guns”
Me: but it can fly with one wing 😏
Any .30, 8mm, .50, or 13mm Incendiary-Heavy Belts are a MUST.
The only cool guy in warthunder, cool commentary, cool videos and lots of fun ...🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Run the throttle at 90-92% and it’ll run without over heating and then use a 100% in combat
96% is the max without overheating
11-9G in RB and 19G in arcade is OP turn time(15sec)
Do you have any videos covering tank modifications?
How on earth did that P39 survive TWO fires, good lord.
was the problem with the overheating real thing or is it a bug in war thunder?? and can someone explain
It usually comes down to the automatic engine controls that are set up differently for every plane. Some planes close their radiators at 100% or WEP, which makes you fast but overheats your engine way to fast to be useful.
The coolest is just not very effective, run the throttle at 96% to prevent overheating
In more realistic sims like il2 you only fly up to 80 or 85% engine power depending on weather. The last 15% is where wep kick in. That last 15% is for short dogfight Think NOS. Its not for cruising
