I’m reading long bright river and it’s such a good book, it’s making me feel “all the feelings” and see different people I’ve met in these characters, like the police partner who sees people with addiction Like the worst of humanity, the sister seeing the other side, and most importantly, making me so much more aware of the pain in an addict’s family, the background, kids being raised by grandparents… I can keep going. Here in Oregon my heart aches every time I see these “kids” living in the streets, and makes my eyes “water” when I think about his/her parents, but reality is, some of them come from addiction too, and these “kids” don’t know any better, there are exceptions, but it’s sooo common to see generations and generations struggling with addiction. Thank you for the recommendation, I listen to the audiobook while I milk in the morning and my goats look at me like… is there anything wrong? And I’m like, yes! Lots of things! 😂 Now I added these to my TBR and I’ll share them with our book clubs at the library! Thank you for sharing Ps: I’m still reading my fantasy book with my son, but have you read “the girl who fell beneath the sea” by Axie Oh!? I haven’t finished it but I’m loving it 😍 Thanks Deborah! I always wonder, when is she going to upload? I hope you keep up the good work ❤
