Nice video. I bought more-or-less the same tractor (John Deere 1025R) that has many of the same features and characteristics. Last weekend I took it to a friend's place to remove a large oak stump (approximately 3'... yes three foot) in diameter that his wife wanted gone. His neighbors were there and were laughing saying things like "what are you going to do with that toy?". A little over an hour later they were surprised when I pulled the stump out.
The key thing is to be patient, take your time, find the roots, dig them up and break them. I have been clearing our 35 acres here in North Florida using nothing but my sub-compact tractor, a chainsaw and hard work. Yes it's slower than if I had some larger equipment, but there's something about being on that little tractor that makes my "real work" life go away on the weekends. I would love to be able to do it daily.
To all the people complaining about the new "tractor ads". You do realize that he has spent literally hundreds of hours shooting, editing, and posting videos over the past year or so, and you are watching these for free, right? Nobody owes you anything. If he can get something back for all the work he does, more power to him. Go on to the next video if it bothers you.
Pluto Thor Amen my friend
I love the fact that this machine has auto throttle and rear remotes standard. This is only going to force other manufacturers to do the same thing. The refinement and precision of these options will drive the market. This is a win for the consumer as competition is a good thing. Keep up the great work Mike!
Thanks Jon, remember to give me shout if you ever come out this way
The 25 looks like a Very Nice Piece Of Equipment!! 👊
Good video, I plan to do a overview for the RK19. Slight differences with the 24.
Looks like a sweet little tractor Mike, You'll get a ton of work done with all the attachments, good luck and take care.
Great video!
Now I can dream with more specifics!
Thanks for posting!
That was a nice little dance!
We have 10 acres, and a John Deere 1025R, loader, forks, backhoe, tiller, box blade, landscape rake. Use them all, love it and it does everything we need. Cutting cedars to save some hard woods, it lifts/carries the logs or easily drags the whole tree out of the woods. Even digging a small pond about 100' across, 10-12' deep. Mowing with the 54" deck cut 2 hrs off our gravely on about 3 acres. These are great little tractors.
Rick Roades that's encouraging. We have 11.5 acres with plenty of cedar and under brush to clear. A compact tractor won't fit down our trail system. My biggest concern is the lifting of the larger logs. I'll be keeping an eye out for more videos using this tractor.
Love all the effort you’re putting into new filming techniques Mike, stills worked brilliantly! Can’t believe how excited I am to see the belly mower deck in action! 🤗
Thanks Luke, I enjoy trying to make better and better videos, Have a ways to go but considering 1 year ago when I started it took 8 hours to edit one simple video and I thought I was going to smash my computer???? Im getting there lol
Outdoors With The Morgans you should be really proud of what you and the family have achieved in such a short time! I have set myself a goal to start recording what we do around our place this winter, inspired by what you’ve done. Plus is great to see others with such common interests half a world away, reminds me how close the US and Aus are!
I am a little "happy" to see this :) I have been struggling with the Action Cam Movie Creator! ( I know you use I movies or something ) I was ready to ask you to do a vid on your editing process ( I know how to handle firewooding:) ) I came close to tossing the computer out into the snow last night!
Brilliant, Mike! Your videography is fantastic! Always appreciate the knowledge and instruction as well. Thanks for making me happy. 😊
Great video work Mike. Can't wait to see you put this to work at Camp Morgan. I'll be comparing it to my Kubota BX 24, fel, 54" mmm, bh, rake and rear blade. I'll be digging out my foundation soon to fix a crack that's leaking but I I'm not fully confident to do it yet. Need to go down around 6'. Hopefully Melissa will be getting some seat time also. We're getting the tail end of the storm right now. More plowing tomorrow. Still trying to get a downed tree cleaned up too. Have a great week Morgans!
Sensational Mike, that Sub Compact sure does burn clean. No exhaust junk at all. A very nice little tractor overall.
I bought my new rk24 3 weeks ago from Elizabethtown Kentucky store but they did not have one at the store so they had to order it. I am very excited to get it. I have 15 or so more jobs around the house planned when it arrives. They said it could be 3 weeks and it looks like it will be that at least. It has been 2 weeks and 5 days 4hrs since I bought it. Lol. I haven't heard anything but I'm sure it won't be long. I hope it is as good as all the reviews i have heard. I will keep you posted on shipping speed.
One more thing you are going to be a busy guy putting all those tractors and implements through their paces!
Can't wait for good weather and see you working these tractors!
That little RK will be very useful, but where are we going to build the shed to house all these new toys? I reckon somewhere in the middle so you never have to go to far to get something. You could get a couple 20' containers and build a gable roof over the top, then you would have a couple of lock up workshops as well. Keep up the great work Mike
Your woods look like the ones I grew up in, back in the 70's & early 80's in Beaver County. Great stuff !
Excellent video. Considering a BX or B Kubota, but will certainly take a good hard look at the Rural King with it's 8-year warranty as well.
Love the section with the stills. That was outstanding. I had to rewind and watch it a second time LOL. I am very impressed with Yanmar. Kuboda better get busy. Thanks for posting this. Regards
cuban9splat , thank you. That took a while to do and am glad it turned out like it did.
Mike, your channel reminds me of when you actually find a good TV show, and you're waiting anxiously for the next episode to come out! I find myself checking the channel pretty regularly to see if there are any new videos. Awesome job. I'm excited to see the series with the 3 point implements. Would really like to see some grading with 3 point or FEL when it dries out. I know the ground is saturated now though. I'm in north central WV and looks like we will be having a wet and sloppy spring this year. Take care.
Thanks Chris, It was just starting to dry out here now today we got 4 or 5 Inches of snow
RH 24 Tractor is sweet looking I have a BX2370 Kubota subcompact tractor that I love.
It is a very good opportunity you have been given and I can't wait to see all the things your gonna do. I love watching your videos. I do have to say tho I miss seeing your orange machine. But still glad to see good videos keep it up Mike thanks
When I saw Mrs. M on it it the previous video, I had a feeling she had her eye on the sub-compact RK. I think that is great.
Already snowing here in Central PA. The gov has already issued road restrictions on doubles and empty trailers. I guess the expect high wind tonight. Cheers Mike
Good Luck, Im ready for spring!
Good looking tractor! I've been pretty impressed by these RK tractors so far, I am surprised that this one doesn't have a quick attach bucket though. Keep up the videos, I love the tractor stuff! The trailer is also really sweet, seems like its built to last and definitely more rugged than some of the competition.
Quick Attach on the 24 will be standard soon
They do
Top notch stop-motion 😎 I enjoy your videos.
My NH TC 30 has the auto throttle pedal, love it. It’s almost 20 years old so I’m sure your 24 has a lot more power.
When I get upstate I am definitely going to look for the RK-24 FOR MY property
That belly mower will be sweet! Can't wait to see how it mounts...drive on or blood sweat and tears.
I have a kioti sub compact 21 hp, same thing as you described with the acceleration & rpm range. very nice to have this, makes driving it so easy.
Mike, if Melissa wants to cut grass this summer, let her. :) You'll be busy with the remodel.
Great video Mike! Im pumped to see that and the 37 in action. We just got ours at out St.clairsville OH location and i love to go there and try to convince my wife i need the 37! Thanks for sharing.
Look like a very useful machine, I like it.
were looking into kubota b series compact tractors and bigger kubota m series tractors
My JD 2038 has the auto throttle, they call it e-throttle, they just re-designed the 2 series last year and is awesome to operate and maneuver
Really like that tractor
mikek love the music you selected for your videos, good ole bluegrass style
Good stuff!!
What a Fantastic job Mike,
On your presentation on this tractor, again great job have forwarded to many friends
Rob here South central Pennsylvania be well be safe okay later
Very cool Mike loved the time-lapse and it is cool that it has auto throttle and remote hydraulic remotes but they look a little high ! my Kioti has a spot for them but you have to add them but over seas i think it come on the tractors ! but i was thinking about putting valves on the rops like that it would be cheaper ! have fun with all the new toys ! LOL have a great week take care ! Kioti Curt :-)
This same tractor is sold under a number of brands. It is manufactured by TYM in South Korea and also sold as a TYM T254. This tractor is also sold by Mahindra as the emax, the difference being that Mahindra uses a Daedong engine in the Emax.
No they don't. They use yanmar
@@Orefamilylawncarebetter learn how to read! I have owned and serviced them and know what engine they have.
@@86dieselman which model eMax? Mine certainly has the yanmar engine.
@@Orefamilylawncareboth the Emax 22 and 25 have the same engine, the Daedong 3C100. It’s typically a very reliable engine. Tried to post a link earlier but apparently TH-cam doesn’t allow that. I don’t claim to be familiar with all models of Mahindra but have not seen them using Yanmar engines.
The fact that you can leave the 3pt arms on while the backhoe is on is pretty neat. I wonder if you can pin up those MMM lift arms.
Definitely put more time into the design then the comparable Mahindra. Although the Mahindra had more lift on the bucket. Can’t wait to see the RK 37. That is an upgrade for me and I’m almost ready to trade mine up for it.
Wow Mike really great stop motion animation sequence! Your TH-cam game is strong Sir! Those Rural King guys must be jumping for joy that they picked you to capture this kind of stuff - priceless. I bet right about now you are thinking a PTO snow blower attachment would be real handy. We are getting hammered by the same storm in Northern Virginia.
I like the fact is has the rear remotes on it. A little small for me to only have one tractor also.
That looks like a good size tractor for my 3 acres. If only I could afford one...lol!
Joe Cosier was thinking the same, could do with it in southern Italy.
what's the pricetag on that little tank?
Tractor , bucket and mower about $15,000
Nice little tractor
Like the videos Mike. Technically a sub compact would be something like a JD 1025 or a Kubota bx. What you have there is considered a small frame compact like B series Kubota.
Very good video. Can you do one on how to put the belly mower on it.
man i hope RK is gonna come build you a tractor shed!!
You hit the jack pot with this sponsorship Mike! You might have to quit your job so you can get enough seat time!
Can you see me telling my wife I'm going to do that? Lol
Shuuuuuurrrr ;)
I know folks who farm with less equipment than you have. And yes, I am jealous.
Great videos and thanks for the time you take to make them. We are looking at getting an RK 37 or 55 for our property in Eastern Kentucky. One question I had though was how does the backhoe attachment mount to the tractor? It doesn't look like it uses the 3-point system so does it mount directly to the frame? Keep up the great work!
It kinda reminds me of the Mahindra sub compacts
For thousands less
What a cool tractor. Maybe I will wait a couple years and run down and buy a "gently used", well maintained, two year old RK24 or RK37. The 55 is too big for what I would need.
so the question of the day is: how many times were you on and off the tractor to move the loader and backhoe into different positions to make it look like the tractor was moving with no one on it and then piece all those shots together into a video clip - LOL...nice work.
Thank You! That was a lot of work to do that lol, I thought it would look pretty cool
...and it did look cool !!
Great rundown Mike. I was very impressed with this sub-compact, auto throttle seems pretty cool. However, the compact tractor really catches my eye even though it’s more tractor than I will probably need. I’m very impressed with your videography 👍 I agree with some of the other comments about seeing this little tank in action. Honestly, I’m really interested in the RK37 and your thoughts on it as it is comparable to your Kubota L3901. I hope your Kubota is still getting some love. Is it possible for you to find a decent stump to dig out with the RK24? Want to see the backhoe in action. One last thing, did RK design their perfect dump trailer around your firewood length? I noticed the wood fits perfectly 4 rows across... LOL..... sorry for the long comment. Love your videos
Auto throttle would be nice to have ! Do you know if the mower is a drive over deck like mine is on the John Deere 1026r either way these sub compacts are a real work horse and very handy . I have 645 hours on mine and loved every minute of it !!
In the middle of this video if anybody sees the ad for flat light flashlight, JUST WATCH IT LOL
Is there a front mounted snowblower for any of these machines?
How much does the RK24 weigh with front bucket and backhoe (as seen at 1:55). I cant seem to find this info anywhere. Thanks in advance.
Any idea how hard it would be to remove the backhoe? I would want to use both a box blade and the backhoe. I haven't found anything about this on the RK tractors.
its a jackknife for sure. looks like a great set up really, only thing i'm not understanding is why not have a quick connect skid steer type bucket? is that an option on this model? I do like the larger tires vs my 1025r, look like it will ride smooth.
Quick Attach will be standard equipment soon I believe.
Hey Mike. I love your channel. Keep up the good work. My question about the RK24 is how easy is it to remove the loader? Looking at getting one, and I need the loader part some of the time, but for things like mowing It would be nice to take it off. How easy is it, and can you do a video about it? Thanks again.
I’d like to see a video of the belly mower in action when you can
Be careful, those subcompacts are little "tipsy". They can lift more than they really should,Deere, Kubota all of them.
It's all about the ballast. With proper use of ballast you will max out lift capacity and no tip or tire lift at all.
Hello Mike, great video that must have been some work. So I don’t want this to come off wrong but of the RK tractors I have seen the RK24 is the least impressive to me. Some is this is my size, I’m 6’5” tall. I will tell you I own 2 John Deere tractors. However I’m not one of these guys if it’s not my color it’s junk types. I own a 5075E and a 1025R. I purchased my 1025r new about 5 months ago. I have the loader, backhoe, 60” mower like you have. For me the difference in leg room between theRK and the Deere is a make it or break it. I know the motor in the Deere and the RK are the same Yanmar powerplant. This RK is an attractively priced machine. I think it has a great drivetrain and abilities. However some of the polish you get with a Deere isn’t there. The mower connection isn’t as slick, the operators station is more cramped, the loader control is more of an add on than a built in fender mount. Anyways I’m interested to see how it does. If I could sit on it comfortably I would have considered the savings but this is a tight machine for people 6’ plus. Either way thanks for the vids. It’s great what RK is doing trying to promote themselves.
so it's a red John Deere?
Any videos using the belly mower?
Mike. My Brother turned me on to your Blog. I have to say I love it. I just bought 22 acres in northern MI. I am interested in the RK24. ( I wish they had a dealer in MI, Hint hint) Question: I am not sure if I want a belly Mower or the RK60 rear mower. In one of your past reviews you stated you would show how to put on the Belly Mower on and off. Have you made that one yet? . Do you have to be on Concrete or can it be done on
I think this size is what I need on my 2 acres. I would like to ask you how it would perform carrying a load of dirt on a hillside dirt road? I live on a hill and wonder if this tractor is stable enough and has the power to pull a bucket full up a hill. Thanks and I do watch a lot of your videos! Yes! I'm subscribed!
Ok man I've seen enough tractors for a while
That horn is not manly enough. This is clearly Melissa’s tractor. 😁
Good point! I did see it, but....Mike needs the larger tractor with climate control, right? LOL just kidding Mike.
Sure you can. As Mike would say about digging a stump, just need to be patient and take your time.
Hey Mike, any plans to show the belly mower on the RK 24?
In the spring when its mowing season
Love your channel... Whats the name of the bluegrass song your playing?
Does the RK24 have a block heater?
I wish there was Rural King dealership in Missouri.
There is a RK in Wentzville Missouri
Great video mike,, question if sitting back in the seat, not leaning forward how is the joy stick for the FEL to reach ? Do you have to reach for it ? Or can it be comfortably reached while leaning back,, also i saw a sticker on the side with warranty info on it ,, did it say 8 year drive train or is it 8 year bumper to bumper,, either way thats a good warranty, just curious as to what it is.. anyway thanks for the good video..
Love your channel, looking at the rk24 & a box blade what size will work 4 ft or 5 ft & have you tried one yet. Thanks j1 ohio
Mike, do the RK tractors do the regen like the kubota did?
How long did it take you to film the tractor animation?
If you need help testing the 37, I got a few chores for you! Pretty much doing the same things you are cleaning up 15 acres of neglected hard wood forests. I hope you get a grapple with the 37. Also I been trying to get an answer from TYM / RK if the 37/394 has a belly mower option. Can’t get answer. Emailed both RK and TYM.
HeHe you like that horn don't ya :-)
I do lol,
Exact same setup I have, I noticed a few things. you got 2 keys, I only got one. I inquired about the work light mentioned in their brochure and no one knew anything about it. And a little disappointed with the belly mower they never installed, just gave me 2 boxes of parts and said I could do it
RK Tractor Guy originally came from circleville, backhoe and mower deck bought from Waverly
is the RK 24 the same tractor like the TYM ts25 ?
Hey Mike, thanks for another great video. How soon till we get to see the RK37?
Probably this weekend
Timelapse fun! Make it childrens story
Random question but what boots are those? Tractor is nice too, looking forward to seeing you use the attachments
Alex DeTrempe , Rocky Boots steel toe
More light snow in Western Iowa. Looking forward to some dryer weather so I can start chores. Nice little tractor Mike. I’ll be interested to see how the little backhoe digs. Does this one have emissions?
No DPF since its 24 HP
The RK tractors are looking pretty nice. But the 24 is a bit smaller than I'd like, and the RK 37 a little too long and narrow. If they offered an RK 30-32 w/ ~25hp at the PTO on a slightly shorter and wider frame than the 37 I think I'd be all over it.
getting the "four'easter" here on long island. that groundhog was way off
Good Luck
Newbie question. With this 24 hp Yanmar engine, does it require the use of Blue Def or is that just on larger 25+ hp engines. I had a smaller Yanmar lawn tractor (GT-14) many years ago and it was a wonderfully reliable tractor.
Mike, what’s the cost of this setup? Love your videos!
I would have bought the HC 37 with a cab, old and cold don’t mix well :)
really well said :-)
Could you do video showing how hard it is to remove backhoe, looking at RK24 for my wife, but wants to be able to add and remove her own attachments. I have TYM 45, which is similar to RK55 without the Turbo, but she finds intimidating, and while it works well for large project on our 400 plus acres, is to large for the smaller projects and lawn mowing around the cabin and out buildings.
How are you liking the RK brand tractor compared to your Kubota and will you be doing the same type of walk around video with the 37.?
grizzly rider, so far I like what I see, will know more as time goes on and yes I will do one on the 37
I'm considering the RK24 and RK25 tractors and the similar Kioti tractors. Does anyone have any advice one way or the other. There are dealerships nearby for both. I will only be getting a loader and a brush hog as implements.
Do all those RK tractors have the tier 4 engines? Up yours kaliforna!
The 37 and 55 Have the DPF like most everyone else, the 24 and 19 do not have the diesel particulate filter
Hi Mike
Could you do a video on removing and installing the Backhoe on the RK24
Will do
Sorry, maybe not paying attention but is the RK 24 replacing your RK 55 or an addition?
BMW M3 S65B40, in addition
Man, I need to start a TH-cam channel so I can get some free tractors.
What a dumb comment
I'm just looking at 25 hp subcompact tractors. I've looked at Kubota and John Deere they are the closest to me. But I want to know more about RK. Who makes them, where can you get one, and who services them? I live in Independence Mo. No Rural King stores here.
TYM makes them. Out Korea. Looking at the rk37 or 24
