      A lot of people always ask for this hairstyle, but no one can get it right if they don't grow out their sides, if you're talking about his 90's haircut.

    Great content as always 👍👍 people worry too much about who wears the hair instead of the actual style. I think it's great that you're flexible and provide perspective on different styles. One question: what do you suggest for someone who wants to achieve this look but has thin hair? Would it be a challenge at all to achieve a decent undercut with thin hair?
    Thanks again for posting.

    • @MikkoHere
      @MikkoHere 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      A trend can be set of letting eyebrows be natural.

    • @MikkoHere
      @MikkoHere 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +roosterwallace28 you can set a trend on not overdoing it and letting them be more natural--As Brooke Shields did in the 80's, and Cara Delevingne, to some extent, is doing now.

    I kinda like this look. I wouldn't say I would style my hair like that every day, but would try it out once in a while. It's good to have diversity guys ;)
    I also had this sort of problem with the flakes esp. since I moved to study in Sweden, idk why, must be the wind drying out my scalp... Definitely will try this H&S product Jordan, thanks for sharing that. I guess most people would skip the fact that they had this problem but you stood out like a man and now others with the same issue will use your advice.

      @thejobrien  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +adnan ahmad It really does work. I use their shampoo and condition too from time to time (for years and years now) and it just works good to keep dry scalp away.

    • @halfpup
      @halfpup 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +TheGentlemansCove Would you say this spray is better than the shampoo/conditioner? I don't like using their shampoos. Also would you say it has comparable effects to using Apple Cider Vinegar (dunno if you have tried it)?

    • @thejobrien
      @thejobrien  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah I havent tried any home remedies yet but it is a good substitute for their shampoos and conditioners if you just want something to help sooth irritated scalp and some dry scalp on the spot. You know?

    • @adnanahmad3973
      @adnanahmad3973 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Which head and shoulders shampoo and conditioner do you reccommend. I have sort of a dry scalp and alittle dandruff. And when do you reccomend using shampoo and conditioner. (Ex. Every other day)

    • @thejobrien
      @thejobrien  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** They have the new scalp soothing shampoo and conditioner, check the link in the description thats what I'm using! And I'd recommend washing it and conditioning it like every 2 days.

    Do you usually use hairspray to hold the hairstyle? Because at the moment i use some Got2B matt paste which is pretty ineffective and after I have to fix my hairstyle with some haispray, but I really don't like that hard feeling, cus I'm used to run my hands through the hair. I want that texture that can help my hair to be styled, and changed at any moment of the day, if you can understand me.
    Maybe some hanz de fuko claymation, sponge wax or quicksand would be better? So i'll dont have to use hairspray anymore.

    • @thejobrien
      @thejobrien  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd like to have sommmeee wave to my hair yeah :P Hahaha Hmmm..when its super long I'd just embrace the wave! Use a hard pomade or hard clay, it can tame it. Try brushing it back and slicking it back straight so it can have some straightness to it..then running your hands through it to make it a little messy. It might help? I dont know much since my hair is super straight :(

      +Ziggi Oldschool
      Hey! The answer Jordan gave you isn't really that great (probably because he doesn't have wavy hair like we do). I highly recommend getting a relaxer put in your hair from a quality salon. I got mine done from one in Houston for $35 and it lasts for 2-3 months without me having to straighten it. The prob with straighteners is that it forces you into a dry hairstyle and using a dry wax without much water in it or your hair gets curly again. Also the time they take to achieve the style is far longer than hopping out of the shower, drying hair and you're good to go.
      As far as the "it damages your hair" point goes, that's kind of old school. If you get it done from someone at a salon who knows what they're doing - the damage is minimal to non-existant. I've got mine done for a year every 2 months and it looks very healthy. Make sure they don't leave it on a long time and they comb it straight the entire 20-30 mins max. Don't let it just sit there. Also, make sure you take care of it with a proper moisturizing conditioner and don't over shampoo it or it will take the relaxer out+dry out your hair/scalp (shampoo does). I shampoo mine twice a week, conditioner every other day, rinse in shower daily. The best part is my hair doesn't want to completely straighten so it still has a slight wave :)
      If you only want dry hairstyles only you can stick with a small straightener + some heat protection oil. I like the option for both. Hope this helped!

    Hey,I'm trying to adapt this for my longer hair, and it's working pretty well, but I'm new to the hair game and have some questions. Is your hair wet when you started or should I blow dry it completely? Second is what is the difference between a hair balm and a pomade? Could I use either? I have really this hair that frizzes and puffs out. Thanks!

      It's never bad to trim the sides. Personally i think it makes your hair look "cleaner". Although if you want to comb your sides then I wouldn't cut it then.
