It really depends on the game you go to. For example Texas atm vs Texas was a crazy Kyle field. Texas atm vs McNeese wasn’t. Same for day games at LSU.
If no one else has said it yet, that area in Norman that's is OU-adjacent of bars/restaruants/retail is simply called Campus Corner (actually about 6 blocks)- and has been a big deal there since the 1920s. On game day Saturday, or all week.
Great review! I am a Georgia fan and I was at the same game vs TN. I could hear the band every good play, it might have been from where you sat. I do agree with parking. My husband grew up going to every game with his dad just like yours did and knows his way around campus, but if it's a night game, you have to be there early!

We started with a spreadsheet of the games that Neil formulated to allow us to put in different scenarios to get it all done. We had tickets to 3 of the stadiums as Aggie away games and 2 home games we wanted to make it to. We also had a wedding to attend in Houston in the middle of October to work around. It helped that the first weekend had a Thursday and Friday game. We also did a double header day with the Mississippi schools since they are only a short distance apart.
Nobody in the SEC has a bad stadium. Vanderbilt is not on par with the others. All fans are fickle. It costs big money to be a part of this and fans aren't happy when things go south. I love the fact that baseball is important in the SEC. Beautiful college baseball facilities. Half the top 25 in baseball is SEC. ACC also has quality college baseball programs.

My favorite part of that town is a fancy bar in The George hotel, which has great atmosphere and bartenders that can make you anything you want. I like the Aggie fight song, and it's fun seeing a band doing military style at the college level since my high school band did that. In the end, I think going to any stadium for a game where you're not rooting for one of the teams would be pretty boring...

Im a Tennessee Volunteer(UT) that grew up in Aggtown(Arlington) Texas. I hate Texas University(TU). I've been to Kyle field and maybe it was because they were hosting Arkansas, but hands down Neyland is not only louder but stayed IN the game.
The Garnet Walk or the Gamecock Walk is probably what you were looking for. If you pull up and see that you know the stadiums' early gates open afterwards and then shortly after the rest of the gates. For stadium location context. Original football field is located almost right besides The Horseshoe and is now the Thomas Cooper Library. It was Melton Field. When the US had the Work Programs Administration in the 1930s Columbia Municipal Stadium was built in 1934. It was sold to the university and renamed Carolina Stadium. It's right by the state fairgrounds so made it a logical spot if you think about it. And looking at downtown Columbia, a stadium would be nightmare. Most of the traffic issue comes from poor planning and drivers utterly clueless about the traffic plan (see it every stadium I go to so I just sit back and wait). The stadium was named Williams-Brice after Martha Williams Brice and Thomas Hardin Brice left some of their estate (millions) to USC for the stadium. That funded the west stadium's upper deck in the 70s. The east upper deck was add in 1982. More renovations in 90s and 00s and more to come. Just approved by BOT to add 30+ suites. I wouldn't be surprised if the end zone with the big screen is closed in with an upper deck in 10ish years. Would bring us back over 82,000 capacity easy. Come back and visit! Adding more down by the river from the stadium with shops and restaurants. The area around Williams-Brice has changed MASSIVELY since 80s, 90s, 00s and even 10s. The Gamecock Park tailgating area was the SC State Farmer's Market for forever! You guys didn't make it over to the cabooses it looked like! When I was a child we parked over what is now The Cockpit Park Tailgating Facility and The Oaks Venue. Back in the 80s and 90s Budweiser owned it. The parking lot was fenced in with a few rottweilers in it. We'd play catch in the grass. Have massive cookouts starting early in the morning until game time. In the late 90s we got the Club tickets after either being upper deck or lower deck prior. The area right in front of the stadium where the George Roger statue is located was paved parked since the stadium had been there. We'd pull up 45 minutes to game time and walk in. Yeah, always got friends jealous of that. I get the stigma of being an off-campus stadium, but I think there are perks and with how USC expands in Columbia in 25-30 years I'd expect campus to touch the stadium. I mean the soccer, softball, etc facilities are just right over the railroad tracks. Columbia always been a rail town. Glad to hear good things from A&M fans after a former player gave us a bad review a while back. And any Clemson fans yapping about owning our stadium. 75% of them didn't exist 15 years ago. I lived in the upstate near Greenville for nearly a decade. The title runs gave them their big fan base because before that we dwarfed them. And it shows as at a recent home game they left in 3rd quarter as Louisville was beating them. Enjoyed the silence after Sellers scored this past Saturday! The last time Carolina won in Williams-Brice was 2013 for reference. We hired Muschamp and paid for it. I'm hopeful we get a back-to-back win this coming year. Especially with Dabo so fearful of the portal. And Tennessee's stadium is only big to me. Without the river it would be near the bottom of the list. All stadiums are cramped. About got in a fight in Gainesville over seating in 2012. I have no clue how some Tennessee fans fit. I mean come on! We are all from the south. Every fan base got some really big boys and girls in their fan base. I've sat by some. Neyland gets loud, but that's only due to the capacity. If it was a 80-85k stadium it wouldn't get the recognition for being half as loud as others that size. Still loudest game in Columbia was 2012 UGA game. Spurrier had us rolling and we thumped UGA like a drum, 35-7. Single largest crowd in stadium history, 85,199. Capacity at the time was 80,250. Capacity currently is 77,559 due to removing seats to add the premium area by the Carolina team entrance. The 30+ suites to be added will take away about 2,000 west upper deck seats and not sure what final capacity. Club and university currently care about milking fans dry for money. LOL
We did get to see the Gamecock walk I just couldn't remember the name. We did make it to the cabooses we just had lots to talk about. We met lots of very friendly fans at SC.

It very objective with how you guys "rated each stadium" with one up liked the "family atmosphere" but with another one you "only liked the student section" then you didn't care for another "student section" and thought it wasn't "family friendly"..so changing the criteria with each stadium you literally kept moving the goal post for how you judged each location..by saying that EVERYONE is going to like or dislike certain locations for different reasons..each stadium is going to have completely different environments with day games versus night games. Too bad you didn't have those experiences during these evaluations 😮😅😮😅😮
So from your limited exposure it depends on how the team is doing, who is playing, who they are playing, what time of the day it is. Imagine going to the ole miss game in Gainesville…when Lagway was playing and team on fire. It’s in the top 3 absolutely.
We mentioned that we understand it depends on the game, but piping in crowd noise is never acceptable. I really did have fun at the game and love the way you do tailgating.
Wow, I stuck it out, but I certainly don’t agree. Tennessee and LSU are the best stadiums in the SEC. Would probably rate the Swamp number 3. I give you props for leaving out aTm in your analysis, and will kindly agree to disagree.

As soon as I saw your shirts, I knew you would be bias. I'm actually outnumbered in my family because we have several Aggie grads and I am the only Longhorn (Texas has Higher Admissions Standards). I considered A&M first, but quickly felt it was more of a Cult Following instead an educational institution. Keep drinking the College Station Kool-Aid and have fun watching Big Brother in the SEC Championship game.
Not surprised a couple of Aggie fans would rank Razorback Stadium No. 15. After all, you NEVER PLAY US THERE. Every year we play in Dallas. You might feel different about us after you come to Fayetteville for the first time in 30 years in 2025.
@ Yes, Fayetteville is very pretty. The LSU game was not a good game for Arkansas this year. If you had come to the Tennessee game I am sure you would have had a very different opinion about the stadium atmosphere in Fayetteville. The fans went into the LSU game thinking now that Arkansas had beaten Tennessee, they could beat anybody. Instead, it was back to mediocrity. This left many fans at that game disgruntled and frustrated. Not a good day.
I'm a Bama alum and been to 600+ games, along with every SEC venue several times. I think Bryant Denny ranks pretty high, but A&M is definitely the best. I also like LSU and Kentucky. Arkansas is a fav destination as well. A&M and Oklahoma have the friendliest fans. My least favs are SC, Tennessee, and Auburn (naturally).
@@davidfence6939 I dislike the outside of Williams Brice...lots of dust from the parking spots. Great atmosphere for game but just not a favored destination.
I must say . When we came to south Carolina and was ranked close to the top 4. Hell we bay have been#4. The atmosphere there at the night game. That's half the reason we lost. It was kicking!!!

Im a Tennessee Volunteer(UT) that grew up in Aggtown(Arlington) Texas. I hate Texas University(TU). I've been to Kyle field and maybe it was because they were hosting Arkansas, but hands down Neyland is not only louder but stayed IN the game.
If Kyle Field was hosting Arkansas it has been years since you went to a game. We haven't hosted Arkansas since 1991.
There is nothing like a Saturday night in the true DEATH VALLEY!!!!
🤘🏾
Death Valley period.
DKR for sure 🤘🏼
You got to think about nayland was built in 1921 so it’s not made to handle 102,000 fans
Tennessee 🔛🔝
As a Sooner fan I concur with your ranking. They don't call it the Palace on the Prairie for nothing.
Florida number 1. No brainer.
So true death valley caused a earth quake but you should of heard Neyland afterr we beat bama
I was at the Kentucky Auburn game and I regretted going
All I know is Bryant Denny is the prettiest stadium and the quad awesome 🐘🐘
NOONE. NOONE CAN COMPETE WITH THE EAGLE FLYING IN THE STADIUM AT JORDAN HARE !!! the stadium at night one of the best light show. And that JUMBOTRONIC, BIG OLD TV 😅 WAR DAMN EAGLE °🦅🇺🇲🦅🇺🇲🦅🇺🇲🦅🇺🇲🇺🇲
If you go to travelbypreadsheet.com you can see our page on what we valued and the points we gave things.
Neyland stadium hands down is best 💯
Wow, I stuck it out, but I certainly don’t agree. Tennessee and LSU are the best stadiums in the SEC. Would probably rate the Swamp number 3. I give you props for leaving out aTm in your analysis, and will kindly agree to disagree.
Neyland!
Wow ou ,usc ,bama and dawgs ahead of neyland. Lol. That is humorous. You realize for loudest neyland broke the record in the florida game 131dbs and then next week broke the record agaisn with bama and still loudest ever at 138 dbs. Lsu had it before this year at 128dbs
You realize dexie land delight is about a saturday night in tn
And it's Vols as in Volunteers
welcome to Nyland Stadium. We’re going to the playoffs A&M. sitting at home. Go big orange
A M still aint got a damn championship since WW2 SEE YA IN MONTHS
Knoxville Tennessee all day long
Ngl as a texas fan a&m has the best stadium i ever been to too bad yall couldn't beat us
I agree. We were literally an inch short.
Who cares Jordan hare is the best stadium... It's spooky in there
I'm not an Auburn fan, but that place rocks at night. The fans are always passionate yet respectful, especially compared to those goofballs in Tuscaloosa.
I know it’s hard to win at Kyle Field….just ask the aggies 😂
Hook’em 🤘
The ting was Kentucky was horrible this year and I think our fan base gave up
Any answer other than "Neyland" is wrong...and hell I'm from Mississippi
Mizzou new updated stadium should be finished by 2026ish. Will your daughter still be there? Come back in October either way! MIZ🖤💛🖤
Should have came to Oxford for Georgia game...
Sorry but this is like the worst list ever. You might be the only people in the world that feel this way
Sorry, you're biggest crybaby here. You might be the only one who thinks this list is worst ever. Go back and cry alone.
LSU fans used to have class when I was growing up. Sadly, as you said, they're the worst in a lot of ways. Passionate for sure, but lack class.
Inbreeding!
11:03 the overalls are the only think keeping Tennessee in this? Dude, I’m an Auburn fan, and even I know Tennessee should be 1 or 2 in this list
Have you spent four hours in those ridiculously cramped seats? All the hype and atmosphere doesn't matter if you are too uncomfortable to enjoy it.
@@Travelbyspreadsheetbuy better seats. It’s an old stadium that’s part of the charm and uniqueness of it. Sounds like you needed a guide.
Yes seats are awful. That's why I think #5. There's so much going on in Knoxville. That yall didn't. Mention. Was you in and out real quick? Or did you check out the city? I'm GL had you came either way.
@@timbarnett6191We spent a bit of time in Knoxville. We only mentioned the game part because of time. We did enjoy our time in that part of Tennessee. We are about to post the video of all the other stuff we did between the games.
There's no way you enjoyed Starkville more than Oxford...
The alabama hypeman is a student btw he's part of the spirit squad (cheerleaders + mascot)
Thanks for letting us know. It wasn't very obvious like it was at other stadiums.
Nothing beats Razorback Stadium and DKR... and yknow what Kentucky too lol
Your bias is showing. Talking about pumped in noise and music……doesn’t tamu pump in noise, they put in more speakers for the Texas game as well. I get you are biased as all fans are…..you guys are wild though. lol
We Are Penn State! The Best!
why hate LSU LOCKER ROOM COST 28 MILLION DOLLARS... STADIUM GETS updated after each game...not yearly ..that's why we don't pay players we want the money comming from the people
Who cares? They're all closed for the year.
Hands down Bama. ❤❤
I get annoyed by all the piped-in music, etc. would rather have the band play.
Ass kickin game chickens🤙
I am not sure why you can't find a bathroom at Neyland. To be honest no one typically sits down at the stadium. I can't believe your ranking STADIUMS for comfort. There is a bumch most say about Aggies stadiu.s and you all think they are truly number 1. COMFORT LOL
Kyle Field is no1
Texas at 10? Lame. Stop being nice to the other schools.
You lost me when you put Tennessee at 7
As soon as I saw your shirts, I knew you would be bias.
Think you all had bad seats at UGA
These are some pretty shit takes. Neyland deserves way better than 7
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 these are not football fans. Strike me as the “down in front” kind of people
Not surprised a couple of Aggie fans would rank Razorback Stadium No. 15. After all, you NEVER PLAY US THERE. Every year we play in Dallas. You might feel different about us after you come to Fayetteville for the first time in 30 years in 2025.
We were at the Arkansas vs. LSU game in Fayetteville. We think Northwest Arkansas is very pretty.
Yours is mediocre compared to Williams-Brice. Just capacity. It's why I'd only go there if Carolina is playing.
We had nothing but good experiences with the SC fans while wearing Aggie stuff, but we have heard from lots of others that the Gamecocks can be rude.
@@davidfence6939 I dislike the outside of Williams Brice...lots of dust from the parking spots. Great atmosphere for game but just not a favored destination.
600 games?... how old are you
Sure as shit aint kyle field. Cant even beat Texas lmfao, Hook'em
As a Gamecock let me say the lights aren't red, they're Garnet!
I stand corrected and apologize for the mistake.
I must say . When we came to south Carolina and was ranked close to the top 4. Hell we bay have been#4. The atmosphere there at the night game. That's half the reason we lost. It was kicking!!!
It's funny how ut fans always brag about how great their sardine can stadium is but, everyone else that has been there says it's too cramped and uncomfortable... not to mention having to endure the most obnoxious fans in the country and being surrounded by that God awful puke orange, and the most annoying sing along to that hillbilly anthem 😂
