Hike up the highest mountain in England - Scafell Pike | Scenic drive through the Lake District

- Follow me on a beautiful drive over mountain passes in the Lake District National Park, I stop at a hidden gem before hiking up Scafell Pike, but not the regular route. I ran down the hill and got the fastest descent on Strava haha!
I hiked Scafell many years ago and plan to go back when fully fit so your video is a perfect reminder of how beautiful it is.

Hello Emily.. I got to climb Scafell Pike many years ago. The view from the top over-looking the lakes are awesome. Thank you for bringing back a memory for me. I have written down in my little book of the trip there. Having had a mini-stroke my memory of my wild-camping days are few now but you have so reminded me of a forgotten past.. Thank you.. I’m in late 70s and not so agile now! But these videos are a great reminder .. better than my old projector transaprencies of the Lakes…if gets a bit busy but if you are ever at Dungeon Ghyll, love to see one of Pike o BliscoBowfell, Langdales themselves, round trip anytime…it’s a long one though.

@@outdoorsemily crinkle crags add to that . Brilliant walk especially if you do the traverse at Bowfell ! On opposite side above dungeon ghyll langdale pikes .
My biggest memory was how windy it was. Knee deep snow too. Wow. Thanks for bringing back some Great memories. Andy,,,

Forgot Crinkles between pike o blisco and Bowfell ….very evocative videos you do..they have a life energy about them.
Finally a video of a Scafell trip showing how mad the roads up to it are 😂 my fella was driving my poor little Astra up there and it gave me the heeby jeebies! We did the opposite way around to you, Wasdale steep route up and Corridor route down, it was so slippery coming down lol. Well done on conquering the mountain.
Haha the tiny mountain roads are not easy to drive!!

I've done scafell pike a cpl times and I think the corridor route is the best way up I tend to do it from seathwaite and camp either on lingmel or come round to great end.you had a great day for it and some stunning scenery

Scafell is a mountain. Corridor route is the best way up but it's not worth driving all the way round to Wasdale from Langdale, just go up from Dungeon Ghyll to Angle Tarn, then over to Sprinkling Tarn & Sty Head. Descend to Esk Hause via Broad Crag.

Farmers ... as I have one as an uncle..... who has carf (cows).... if cows are in labour ..... farmers are up all night with the vet during birth..... (they know you are there)........ . . .
Farmers with wheat..... gotta get a coffee and cake in before firing up the tractor!! 5am..... with the border collies!!!.... and as a long distance runner...... some dogs bite! be on guard or carry spray!
Take you van for a service, it sounds a bit rough on the video, maybe an injector issue or something, you should get it looked at before it breaks completely. Best wishes.
