I've seen this episode at least a dozen times and I'm nervous at the beginning and cry about Lyanna Mormont every single time. Every. Single. Time.
She so tiny and so brave
I still remember when this episode aired. The next day, I just felt empty inside.

It felt like a new years Eve sort of vibe, didnt it?..
Yep, and then it just got worse and worse with every episode after this one.

I mean.. I usually tell people that they can stop watching Game of Thrones after The Long Night episode, but I didn't think anyone would actually do it. 😕

I remember the day I first watched this episode like it was yesterday. All my family in the living room and at the same time the whole world watched. We screamed and cried way too much. Was kinda crazy 😂😂😂
Bringing up the number mix up right after with emphasis is petty that I respect.
People complain about the episode being dark but it was supposed to be. You’re seeing what they see, complete darkness and the weather manipulated by the night king. That atmosphere of death, impending doom and complete darkness gives you a feeling of hopelessness, fear, sadness….the unknown.
Yeah like, turn off the lights and get immersed motherfuckers!

I think a reason to is because for some reason I noticed so many people watch these shows with the lights on, especially when they have friends over watching with them. Like, why watch something like this with the lights on? If you turn off the lights like you are in theater it looked great.

Guys since you're almost done with GoT you should react to House of the Dragon. The show is really good. The season is getting lots of praise. Everyone saying it's classic GoT vibes. Not much controversy, so it's a safe thing to react to. And def worth a reaction!
The Night King's dragon has blue flame because he was converted to clean-burning propane as a posthumous retrofit.
Fun fact: blue flames are the hottest kind of flames.

I know Jaqen H'ghar was super proud of Arya. As many times as I've seen this episode today I finally thought about Bravos, Essos, Mereen, Dorne etc... um... they didnt have the same night king problem as Westeros???????? I would've moved 🤣

Yes, this episode is so dark I had to brighten the screen all the way up to see it. Jon is Not immune to fire. He burnt his hand on the lantern saving Lord Commander Mormont from the dead man way back in season 1 or 2.
Doubt D&D would remember that lol. They can't even remeber what they had for breakfast.

The god of death and the god of light are the same thing. And I guess he doesn't like competition. Arya's training was all for that moment. She has had the best story arc and is the most bad ass character of the whole series!
it should have been Jon, defeating the night king was his arc the whole series, he is half Targaryen ( fire ) and half Stark ( ice ) he is litterally the song of ice and fire, the targaryen who united the realm to defeat the white walkers, its just bad writing but cool if you like it xD

The the army of the dead are called Wights, the guys who are on sidelines are called the White Walkers who are generals of the Night King and Jon isn’t fire proof, the only person in their family who is is Danny because she used blood magic to bring her dragons back to life 😂😂😂

Great episode, great battle...definately keeps you on edge of your seat. After waiting for over 7 seasons & all the build up to this head to head battle, i would've liked to see it atleast last a bit longer...2 episodes atleast. Just seemed a little too easy, considering how big of a threat The White Walkers are & how long it's been building up to this moment. Still great though...

dont get me wrong i didnt hate all endings and stuff (prolly only the one with Bran being the king,Jon not getting to kill Night King,and the way Jaime goes back to Cersei,and Cersei just being at top of the tower for an entire season,and Tyrion being dumb wrritenly,hiding in the Crypts when undead rise,and Deanerys forggetting about Eurons fleet,and Varys dying for apsurdity,and ye thats only it :D
i love this show,but Long night battle was trash mostly,illogical,fun to watch entertaining,overused slow mos all of time....i still enyojed it,but its nowhere near the level of writing in the earlier seasons!
People say the show went to hell after this episode but I’d argue this episode was the descent / drop off.

Just a normal bro big coping about not getting that Jon Snow and his flaming lightsaber vs All Powerful Ice Demon anime sword fight, eight episode long, on some Goku vs Frieza shit. Also, Cersei wasn't the final boss....like that was the whole point. It was the story of failed revolutions, autocracy and liberation, putting your faith in monsters, and what you really wanted staring back at you and it doesn't look any desirable anymore. Hue, so I watched 7 seasons, read 5 books of a story about grey characters dealing with each others, trying to subvert popular tropes, and you’re telling me that it’s not going to end with the most basic, cliche, predictable battle between one-dimensional heroes and one-dimensional vilains? I swear those writers!!

I am not going to tell you what happened but just know it REALLY goes downhill after this episode. BUT House of The Dragon is on and episode 3 is coming in tonight! You’re going to like it. George RR Martin (the author)is part of the project unlike GOT! Also the 2 show runners were directed the battle scenes of GOT and they’re fans of the books! Unlike D&D (show runners of GOT) Give House of The Dragon a chance! It’s really good and I feel comfortable that George RR Martin is part of it!

The plot armor this episode is some of the worst of all time for a show famous for being non plot armor.
I bet y’all gave up on the series after watching the rest of this season, if it helps House of the Dragon is some what making up for it … not really, but at least it doesn’t have D&D as showrunners who are to blame for this horrible season.
This season is still far superior to season 7...
