Another wonderful installement in the restoration. Thank you. Can l ask whether the engine builder also made changes to the main end bearing oil feed through the crank, and modified the oil sludge traps or was that design 'issue' remedied by the time this model rolled off the production line?
sorry for the delay, only just spotted your comment. SRM did the engine and modified the bearing and did the oil pump conversion, I dont think they did the sludge trap.

I have heard the electrical tape to hold the bottom yoke in place is a factory tool.
Brill comment, you only need to drop the yoke once to work something out, on you hands and knees looking for ball bearings!!
