One more example for the big difference between Germany and America. Here in Germany the kids only get chocolate and hard boiled eggs for easter, not toys or anything else.

Hey, quick question whenever you’re done packing the Easter baskets, do you just leave them in your bedroom and your kids come and see him or do you have a special designated spot where the kids can’t see it
You don't make sure each kid gets one gold egg with the money ? My aunt used to do this restriction with us and it's just luck which denomination of currency we got!!! No broken hearts either😂😂
You should have one gold egg for each child and each child gets one. If you already found yours and you find another you put it back. That's fair and even the littlest can understand with visual cues and guidance.

I have used Easter grass, then I shredded construction paper and did that as a more recyclable option. Now, I give the kids a T-shirt in their basket and use it in place of grass.
I'm sure they had a blast🥰. I do hope you taught them the real meaning of Good Friday.... our beloved saviour died for us so that we may have eternal life in heaven... a place where there is no sorrow, no disease, no sickness, no sin. Fun, love, happiness. Also do you all still go to church? You used to show the family getting ready for church and that was so refreshing in this day and age. Why stop? Don't compromise your faith and sweet Jesus for anybody or the sick and warped ideologies of the society. Stand up and stand out for who you know is the way, the truth, and the life. Jesus does not deserve our rejection. Heartbreaking.

So sweet that you got Nevaeh and DeShawn‘s brother a basket 🐰🐰 I agree on the grass it is such a mess my daughters are about to be 30 and 28 it was so messy when they were little. My son is 18 in 12th grade. I just made his basket and I put grass in it. I’m like wait if he was younger I wouldn’t have done that because they used to make such a mess with it. All the Hershey kisses and little chocolate eggs mixed in with the grass and it ends up on the floor. I can imagine with 12 with all grass in it 😂

I didn't do Easter grass I would tear or cut tissue paper into wide strips and line their baskets.
My hubby says that the shaped reeses peanut butter treats taste better than the normal ones. I think it's because there is more peanut butter in them. I could be wrong of course. 😊❤.

No Easter grass here. I have boys and it just ends up everywhere. We have 3 dogs and two cats and I don’t need them eating it. Lol! Happy Easter!
Hello everyone
My parents bought pre-packaged baskets for us. We had to open them outside, and all Easter grass went directly into the trash bag. I made my kids Easter baskets, and when they were small, I would use the grass, but they would open them outside and I would re-use the grass. When they got a bit older, I eliminated the grass altogether. It was too much of a mess. And I only had two kids.
Right?! I feel bad not using it bc it’s tradition but I just can’t 😂

I actually get the nonplastic Easter grass and if you do it outside and some of the pieces get on the ground, then after birds leave their nests for the winter, you may see Easter grass in their nest building. It has to be the nonplastic biodegradable kind. Also male a kind you can eat.

Were the adopted kids confused when you and josh adopted them, then they had 2 sets of parents? That would be tough as a kid to understand.
I got the same baskets from Walmart and I got a horrible splinter from the handle of one of them😫 The baskets came out great!
