For how much I paid for this unit, when it went dead after only a year I told myself I was never going to give GoalZero any more of my money. Thank you for helping go a DIY route.
@@TheArtOfCool Greetings, in regarding your smoke detectors you should consider using (Rechargeable) lithium-ion 9V (600mAh) they work great I use them on my smoke detectors and can honestly say that I haven't had the need to recharge them yet, no beeping sound also FYI if you decide to get this make sure that your 9V charger will accept Lithium-ion chemistry batteries here's the one I got from Amazon you can click the link: www.amazon.com/EBL-Battery-Charger-Rechargeable-Batteries/dp/B084X8X45X/ref=sr_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=ebl+9v+rechargeable+batteries+lithium+ion+9v+600mah+batteries&qid=1598090763&sr=8-6
You did not post the link to the battery you bought. Could you share that? I see some of their batterys for sale but not sure the exact one for this application. I'm having a similar issue with mine.
The newer ones should come with a vision battery. Which is supposed to be better because the older ones were only rated to charge at about 4amps. the new visions allow for 5amps.
Hey what happened to all your videos. I was looking forward to your other goal zero videos. I just got the agm upgrade battery. I'm excited for the new life in my old 150 😊
Same here. Was looking forward to his review of the replacement battery. Same thing happened to our Yeti and we want to replace the battery if it worked out.
Been there as a military cargo pilot. There are a lot of security safeguards. Automated missile batteries, space based energy weapons. You have no idea
part of the problem is that goal zero went with the cheapest battery supplier for these things at the factory. a quality battery would have gone a long way in customer satisfaction
There is a lithium battery that fits. However I am reluctant to put a lithium battery in a device that is designed to be used with a lead-acid battery.
I’ve had mine for 4 years. Always on charge and I have let it run completely flat once and recharged again. It gets used every weekend to power a monitor and speakers. Goal zero said to always keep it on charge even when not in use. No problem so far with mine touch wood lol.
@@bigdmc6459 thats really surprising. Maybe the original battery is designed different than most. I’ll have to find my manual again and do some reading haha
What? Cheap Chinese made battery inside? Paid premium price and got a Chinese made cheap battery inside, no way? Is Goal Zero a Chinese company? Since really the PRC government is executing Go-Zero policy against COVID-19 🤣🤣🤣

How about changing the battery in your smoke detector
Lol....I really need to!

I got a 150 that’s half way there. That Vmax tank should work great. I also have a GZ 350escape and when it went dead I upgraded to a tank.

@@bestillranch6870 Well I purchased the battery on Amazon and it works great!
I always thought you should never let a agm deep cycle battery go below 50% they will not last long.
Saludos quisiera saber si el cargador con un voltaje de 12v 5.0A , ES una de 1500w,3000w
The Lithium battery from Napa. Only model I could come up with, TW2. For what it is worth.
I saw your comment in another video that you've been to the ice wall. Could you please provide some pictures of it? And the guards protecting it.

Upgraded but the AC outlet does not charge my laptop (65w)
How?

My original battery ended up melting and destroyed my unit! The upgraded one is still fine.
Did Goal Zero have you murdered? What is the part number for the replacement battery?????

Totally, it’s not made to charge lithium.
I don’t think you’re supposed to leave the charger in for that long. Once they full charge you should unplug
You know I called Goal Zero and they said to fully charge every 3 months.
@@TheArtOfCool I thought you meant you left it plugged in for 3 months straight lol! My apologies I misunderstood
Goal zero says the opposite they state that you should always leave their batterys on charge. I looked it up when mine started going bad.
