What about the cords? They’re just kind of dangling at the top- what do you do to conceal those? Also does it need to be connected to a power source? How do you do that without having cords everywhere?

Yes it can.

Does outside temperature have any effect on the glass?
Not really as the switchable PDLC layer is protected by the glass. The smart film is applied to the interior facing side of the glass. If the temperature on the glass drops below -20 C/ -4 F the film may begin to transition from clear to frosted slower.
Are the wires suppose to just hang? How can they be hidden?
What brand of silicone do you guys use?
Looks like they used Sashco - BIG-P-C-12 Big Stretch Acrylic Latex High Performance Caulking Sealant, 10.5 Ounce Cartridge, Clear
neutral cure silicone: Dow 795 Dow 1199 (clear)
Would the film when frosted help keep heat out of a room. e.g using this as a alternative to reflective tint film. Alternatively can this be applied over heat reflective film?
depends on the type of glass/film. the main problem is abortion. Depends on your exposure and location. a lot goes into it. you would need an expert's opinion.
to answer your question-- frosted film keeps out some heat to a degree.. but without the reflective properties of solar film to reject said heat you are left with absorption which is not great for keeping a room quote-on-quote cooler. it may appear cooler due to light sensitivity in the eye with perceiving heat/ light but it will not be cooler.
Can this be used on glass rooftops exposed to direct sunlight?
Yes it can. The glass conrtains the switchable layer sandwiched between two pieces of glass, protecting it from sun damage and the elements. The smart film can be applied to the interior facing side of the glass rooftop so it is protected by the glass.

You didn’t really show any of the power and wiring process, which IMO is as important as placing the film. I want to install it on a couple of USA standard sized windows the slide vertical to open, as well as a 3 panel bifold door, which also slides then folds.
1) I’ve seen some that require MASSIVE blocks.
2) how did you wire it to account for the different panels contracting and not binding the cables?
