- I visited the Great British Model Railway Show on 28th October which was being held at the British Motor Museum in Gaydon.
On display were 40 Layouts and 30 Trade Stands with various societies and demonstrations.
The quality of the layouts on display were to a high standard and credit must go to all of the exhibitors for putting on such a fine display.
As always this venue is an excellent choice as it is situated only 5 minutes from the M40 motorway.
On the day of my visit the organisers had laid on a heritage bus service between the venue and the station.
Also the Refreshment and Rest Room facilities as always were first class.
Parking was never an issue due to the extremely large car park at the venue.
Because I had a prepaid ticket I did not have to queue to gain entry to the exhibition.
Included with the entry ticket was the chance to have a look around the motor museum during my visit.
Included in this video are 4 layouts:
Lintor Town OO Gauge
Grafty Green O Gauge
Sandy Bay N Gauge
Old Sarum O Gauge
Grafty Green is a very attractive and interesting layout.
It just happens that I know the Great Western Railway reasonably well having been to boarding school just outside Wincanton and spent many years going off to Cornwall for summer holidays!!
I purchased my model railway a couple of years ago and between us my son and I have reconstructed it to depict the main location of the great television show Dad’s Army. Walmington-on-Sea is a great little layout. It’s run by DCC Sound with one or two visiting DC locomotives.
Nice to see a beach modelled on one of the layouts!!
Nicely done,,excellent work and great details,,thanks for sharing..😊
Thank you very much!
Nice to see Old Sarum again!! Last time I saw it, I was at the Alexandra Palace at the London Festival of Railway Modelling.
Glad that you enjoyed the video.
Great filming as always, thankyou
Many Thanks.
I’m glad to see another selection of brilliant layouts!! A model railway exhibition is always welcome in this house!!
