The long-term plan is to release a "Xero 2.0" client that's essentially a rewrite of the original S4 client (same engine and physics). It'll have revamped UI, map fixes (because some TD maps have always been asymmetrical), game mode fixes (to make modes like DM and Chaser deeper), wall-shooting fixes, and better long-term support for new content + weapons + weapon tuning. Overall, this server aims to carry on the legacy of the original S4 League, while enhancing the gameplay and user experience. Also, no pay2win, and support for uncapped FPS. :)
He left out one of the best features of this game. Wall Jumping. Basically you can run jump toward a wall, then jump (spacebar) again, and your character will do a flip off of it. You can perform sorta "combos" of this by walljumping, and if you're close enough to another wall, jump off that one, so on. this is a HUGE aspect of the game as people use it to get a lot of places in maps for advantages, such as rooftops/routes to 'nets' for touch down matches.

@GrimmjowJaggerjack2 Does this game require a high-end graphics card? My PC runs on Windows Vista and has a base score of 3.1, and I think it uses an ATI Radeon, but I don't know which model. Will the game run very slowly on a PC like mine?
well the 3 char slots are for strategy playing. as in you can make 1 char a defender on touchdown mode and another an attacker. then the third a healer or such. then you can sort of swap sets from attack to defend at halftime if you want.

I miss the old way of S4 League and its a good thing that i got to see it when i started and got 1 last look at it before the update man i miss it along with everyone else.

You always need a Melee wep just in case there is a close quarters battle. Revolvers are Mid - Close range battle situations. Semi rifles are for medium to long range situations. Snipers i dont recommend. But what do i know i'm not even a super rookie yet. That is just my sense about it. Semi, Revolver and your favourite Melee. Perfect class, at least for me.
I downloaded it but hardly anything is show up. All text during the tutorial was invisible and if I click on any settings, it's also invisible, but I can see that I'm clicking buttons and editing settings. Anyone else having this problem?
MothaFxck Oh, I know how to fix that. No need to unistall or reinstall anything. In the S4 patcher/Launcher, there should be some flags in the bottom. Choose the american/british flag and start the game to get the text and whatnot. Tell me if this fixes it.
PS: the lobby was WAAAAAAY better back then, the free walk around the waiting room was fun to do before a match and you got to look at everyone items in the room and set up your idol strategy before choosen a side ( element of suprise blah blah blah) i understand it but its how you use it thats the suprise
wish he showed off the walljumps and dodges more cuz they are heavily used in this game that wasnt a sword, its a bat lol. the melee weps are sword, bat, countersword and newly added dagger and twin sword. theres more maps and game modes now

Golden era of S4League (before it got hacked to death and overupdated), god i wish i could go back.

This game was the best during the beta days. Game went more and more downhill after that until it became unplayable. Good times while it lasted.

@FunkL0chx3 it was way cooler, however it was also a lot lagier. They simplified it in order to get rid of most of the lag.
