Fyi on a couple things you can't buy the battle pass with real cash during this early access since it's bought with crowns and you can't buy those yet. Also the game will wipe when the early access ends. Hope this helps.
This game was out on PlayStation for years and now once it FINALLY died they released it on PC to try n rob that crowd as much as they can before they catch on like the console crowd eventually did. Nothing but PREDATORY MICROTRANSACTIONS , Unashamed P2W mechanics & terrible design decisions.

You're right about the 3rd-person peeking thing. It's highly unfair. In my opinion every 3rd-person shooter has to take a page from Scum's book. Their 3rd-person mode accounts for what your 1st-person character's eyes can actually see and render only those things on your screen.
as a HUGE fan of 3rd person I was going to make this exact post, 3rd person really needs to stop getting vilified. every competitive 3rd person shooter needs to take a page from scums book. the 3rd person "fog of war" is such a slept on mechanic that not only scum but 3rd person MOBAS like predecessor and smite use to a lesser degree with respectable success. sadly even scum still had a loud group of 1st person enthusiasts who complained 3rd person was somehow a problem in scum and had 1st person only servers forced in, which of course are the majority of populated servers now.

No the point here is balancing a perspective within a competitive scenario for those who enjoy 3rd person but want fair play. fog of war or: "you cant see an opponent your character cant" is that fix yet never implemented where needed, and simply brushing 3rd person off with "not immersive, you just want corner peeking" is not constructive.
@@Pharaoh_The_Great Third-person lets you see your character in action which is immersive in its own way. Some people get motion sickness with the first-person perspective. What Scum did was genius. It preserved player agency to choose their perspectives while eliminating the most egregious gameplay advantage of third-person mode.

I played this game basically nonstop from 2020 to 2022 and I am absolutely here with my haterade lol. There’s so much I don’t like about vigor and I’ve considered making a video on it but I’m convinced that this game has at least an 80% turn over rate when it comes to players who have played for close to a year and then eventually they’ve had enough and stop playing it Edit: the game is fun admittedly, it’s just in terrible hands
The game was fantastic before pay to win. At one point you only get matched with people with p90s and snipers and the game becomes unplayable because your ppsh just doesn't outrange and out recoil the p90 and your hunting rifle with a sniper scope can't beat the bolt action military grade 50bmg sniper they paid for

My friend has at least like probably tens of thousands of guns, and for most of his career he was on the original Xbox so he couldn’t preform like I could but even then he still had tons of guns
Vigor is a fantastic Idea but just feel like they need to add more players per round and something more then just updating your base, its kinda no end game.
Picked this up when it dropped and played about 5 rounds before I put it down. Good to see they've been updating it but if they don't address the 3rd person behind cover peeking like maybe Scum does, this is not a great mechanic for an extraction shooter.

Played this game with one of my friends for about two years or so on PS4. Decent performances and great fun, but as time passed by I realised the fucking terrible decisions the devs made. On console there are maybe like 4 to 5 encounter games playing at any given time (me and my friend managed to find the 1st player on the global leaderboard multiple times in our games lol) so half of our games was just constantly getting pinged by enemy players with an unlimited stock of signal detectors (consumable tool able to detect the closest outlander signal on the map for you, giving you a considerable tactical advantage), thus basically forcing us to cosplay Mute from R6 by bringing tons of signal jammers to neutralize the effect and avoid being fucking rushed by berserkers fueled by 10 cans of Redbull, wielding LMGs with more stacks of 7.62x51 than an entire platoon of the USMC. So yeah- not a really enjoyable experience after all... The long discussed wipe of weapons and consumables never came, so this type of games were commonplace. Every single update was tons and tons of cash-grab cosmetics alongside either one new consumable being abused for its broken effect or a single weapon dominating the meta for weeks to come. And if you (unfortunately) played this game during the LMG meta with M249s and AK-74s flying left and right you'll know what I am talking about. Tried to install this masterpiece of a shithole a week ago to see if anything changed, just to be found with half of my cosmetics gone. Wiped. Reduced to atoms, as a bald purple guy would have said. They managed to ruin the best aspect of the whole free to play experience of Vigor, moving past seasonal passes completely AND deleting the cosmetics I spent years obtaining for free through hard exp grinding between all the game modes. Vigor is a beautiful piece of art with amazing map design and one of the best character customization I've ever seen in a 3rd person shooter; being a title that holds a special place in my heart because it was somewhat of a comfort game during the global pandemic like I hope it was for many other players - but in its current state, I am not in the position to recommend anyone to play it. The fact that they're even selling it now on PC with the premise of an "early access" is straight up fucking hilarious and honestly made me laugh the fist time I found out through this video. Please do not spend 20$ for this game nor to buy any kind of microtransaction from the shop. Go buy a 20pc chicken nuggets or smth instead. Way better use of your money.
Dusted off the PS4 and got the FTP version to see if I'd want to play it on PC when it becomes FTP. I have a buddy on console so I'm looking for another extraction game for us to play together since DMZ is basically dead. It was alright but it just feels like they're trying to bleed whatever life out of the game they still can by porting it to PC. Probably not a good long-term option IMO.

I feel with all the new extraction shooter releases vigor is taking advantage during the extraction shooters controversy seems to be coming in behind and sweeping up any unleft funding potential while it lasts.
Come August this game will either hit off really well, be same as it was when released in may or completely flop and die. Really hope it's the first or second one but sadly it's outwayed by the price which effects the reviews which then in-tern kills the game
I love it. The devs are making awful decisions though. From a players perspective. Financially it might play out for them. They have the data, I don't.
There's quite a few reasons game release into EA as paid then go f2p upon full release. A big reason is to find exploits. The second big reason is to keep the feedback loop manageable for bug testing. It also generally keeps players that would play f2p just to leave a bad review at bay until full release. Honestly the only good extraction shooter outside of Tarkov. Hunt is okayish but the lowered cross hair gives me motion sickness.
3rd person peeking in only a problem if you're blindly running around the map, it's a extraction shooter with a quick TTK you should be checking your surroundings constantly 😂
Basically (and I say this as a console og) this game would be great experience if only devs gave even a singular fuck. At the moment its all about the god awful grind with almoast non existant rewards or spending more and more rl money.
As a player of this game you may need to check on your battle pass info.Its not correct . the bp is just for testing purposes to test the shop ingame. You cant even buy real money currency ingame right. They just give it to us for free. the items will not transfer and there will be a wipe. the only thing that will transfer is the 20 dollar pack which will propably stay and players can buy it afterwards as a starter pack. Also its not dead. I find matches in 1 min tops in eu.
I don't see why people care about graphics so much, as long as the gameplay is solid and I'm enjoying my time I don't really care what the game looks like, I guess to each their own ya know

Mostly what I hated while playing this was that on extraction u mostly go against long time players /groups which means snipers or LMGs which means u get in a small fight with a group most of the time u will get mowed down. And as a new player u don't have much creds for insurance so u constantly lose your stuff and going against a Famas with a Thompson isnt that exciting
Understandable. I would recommend to stay away from the safe, the barred house and the Airdrop as a new player. Try to stay low, use bushes, don't sprint everywhere, listen carefully because you often hear other players before you see them, circle around the map and just loot stuff. You get a good amount of XP for that. Besides that play shootouts and practice a few minutes (regularly) at the shooting range! As loadout I can recommend the AKM. It's cheap, has great damage and precision. Also turn off aim assist and use the sensitivity options of jealous fist (TH-cam). Helped me. The game is rough as a beginner but it's definitely possible to get decent pretty quickly, if you really try.
@@Strv103Moment If you keep running into duo's you should deactivate the lone wolf option as that lets you run alone against teams for more XP. Have you checked that? Because that shouldn't be happening otherwise, especially not regularly.

The devs need to remaster this whole game and give up that boring base building stuff… make it have a first person mode, make it pvpve, add more people, bigger maps, etc. they are still using the same old stuff from years ago but with a few updates.
BI is the absolute king of confusing and broken releases...that eventually turn into cult classic niche shooter games lol. I kind of wonder if they do this on purpose at this point. Maybe just shake off any low attention span COD/CSGO kid types so they can cultivate a better audience overall.

It's £16 in the UK. The £16 isn't buying the game, it's buying a pack that comes with exclusive skins, a bunch of guns and a 10-day login pass. The battle pass is about 800 gold (in-game currency) the 10-day login pass gives you 10,000 gold and a bunch of guns. Meaning you can get the pass and pretty much anything you want from the store. I played this game a lot on the Xbox and very much enjoyed it and tbh the £16 for what you get and the head start it gives you is a bargain IMO. There are ways of getting gold for free. From doing challenges to building a radio tower in your base and getting gold daily. I like the gameplay because it's simple. 1 type of bullet for your gun and several different grades of bullet. You don't have to heal different parts of yourself, you just use a Bandage or another type of med and heal different amounts. I also never feel cheated in the game, if I get killed it's because I got outplayed
should get rid of the kill cams so ppl cant cheat your location to their friends. (doesn't fix everything. BUT A HUGE PART) kill cams arnt needed) ( if u want a replay wtv. but your brodcasting locations.) ppl join in groups.

It was a better time in the launch era. Unchecked cheaters killed console alongside logical moves like. Rendering all optics from max range marksmen magnifyers to the red dot emit an actual disco ball glint like a strobe light in any form of aiming.

i was playing on my switch got in a gunfight won then realised there is no heal button and the airdrop makes no sense because when u pick it up it gives instant overtime radiation and snce there are no cars u 100% die getting to the extraction site
check back here in a couple months when your shelter progress is COMPLETELY THROTTLED and you still haven't found any new weapon blue prints unless u pay more n more. As you progress more and invest more time into it thats when the curtains finally get pulled back into what the game really is. You will be upset at any time and money u put into it in the end. Thhis is coming from experience also on ps5. The game died for a reason and is now relaunching on pc to try n get a new audience, till they start telling them no as well and refuse to make any changes or improvements.

The game will try to get you hooked then THROTTLE EVERYTHING to get you to spend real money on crowns and charge u 10$-20$ EACH & for a hat or gloves or 30$ for ONE WEAPON blue print.... The devs dont listen they dont make improvements and flat out tell the community NO; on implementing changes, and their excuse is they do not want to compete w their sister company and game day z. The amount of PREDATORY TACTICS & MICROTRANSACTIONS is RIDICULOUS! They make UBISOFT & BLIZZARD look like ANGELS! ie. When the game originally launched it was fantastic on console. you were only given good gear thru drops and looting. basically, play the game, get better stuff. but after maybe 6 months they made airdrops purchaseable so players couldnpay for the best gear. awful idea and ruined the game

Dusted off the PS4 and got the FTP version to see if I'd want to play it on PC when it becomes FTP. I have a buddy on console so I'm looking for another extraction game for us to play together since DMZ is basically dead. It was alright but it just feels like they're trying to bleed whatever life out of the game they still can by porting it to PC. Probably not a good long-term option IMO.

If you have made it to any of their live stream events with the other 8 ppl who watch they flat out say NO! Their excuse is they dont want to compete w day z cause its their "sister game" And they made this one extremely pay to win. its not worth it! Too many problems at its core identity where they decided to take the game.

Ive got like 200 hours on this game on switch. Glad its out on PC now. But I might not get it because why pay for a f2p? Ill continue to enjoy this game on switch.

I feel with all the new extraction shooter releases vigor is taking advantage during the extraction shooters controversy seems to be coming in behind and sweeping up any unleft funding potential while it lasts.
Come August this game will either hit off really well, be same as it was when released in may or completely flop and die.
Really hope it's the first or second one but sadly it's outwayed by the price which effects the reviews which then in-tern kills the game

I love it. The devs are making awful decisions though. From a players perspective. Financially it might play out for them. They have the data, I don't.
There's quite a few reasons game release into EA as paid then go f2p upon full release. A big reason is to find exploits. The second big reason is to keep the feedback loop manageable for bug testing. It also generally keeps players that would play f2p just to leave a bad review at bay until full release.
Honestly the only good extraction shooter outside of Tarkov. Hunt is okayish but the lowered cross hair gives me motion sickness.

As a player of this game you may need to check on your battle pass info.Its not correct . the bp is just for testing purposes to test the shop ingame. You cant even buy real money currency ingame right. They just give it to us for free. the items will not transfer and there will be a wipe. the only thing that will transfer is the 20 dollar pack which will propably stay and players can buy it afterwards as a starter pack. Also its not dead. I find matches in 1 min tops in eu.
I don't see why people care about graphics so much, as long as the gameplay is solid and I'm enjoying my time I don't really care what the game looks like, I guess to each their own ya know

Mostly what I hated while playing this was that on extraction u mostly go against long time players /groups which means snipers or LMGs which means u get in a small fight with a group most of the time u will get mowed down. And as a new player u don't have much creds for insurance so u constantly lose your stuff and going against a Famas with a Thompson isnt that exciting
Understandable. I would recommend to stay away from the safe, the barred house and the Airdrop as a new player. Try to stay low, use bushes, don't sprint everywhere, listen carefully because you often hear other players before you see them, circle around the map and just loot stuff. You get a good amount of XP for that. Besides that play shootouts and practice a few minutes (regularly) at the shooting range! As loadout I can recommend the AKM. It's cheap, has great damage and precision.
Also turn off aim assist and use the sensitivity options of jealous fist (TH-cam). Helped me.
The game is rough as a beginner but it's definitely possible to get decent pretty quickly, if you really try.

@@Strv103Moment If you keep running into duo's you should deactivate the lone wolf option as that lets you run alone against teams for more XP. Have you checked that? Because that shouldn't be happening otherwise, especially not regularly.
Yea my experience wasn't different even then since I tried that. Ended up with people with such shitty internet that they could have invented teleportation

Hint: forget 1st-Person aiming, unless youvare using a scope.
(Just hip-fire and you'll get an headshot, eventually).
Also: this was kind of a test-ground for DayZ.
Vigor was so much fun on switch but its honestly just baby's first tarkov because its got some basic tarkov aspects like the hideout

The devs need to remaster this whole game and give up that boring base building stuff… make it have a first person mode, make it pvpve, add more people, bigger maps, etc. they are still using the same old stuff from years ago but with a few updates.

It's £16 in the UK. The £16 isn't buying the game, it's buying a pack that comes with exclusive skins, a bunch of guns and a 10-day login pass. The battle pass is about 800 gold (in-game currency) the 10-day login pass gives you 10,000 gold and a bunch of guns. Meaning you can get the pass and pretty much anything you want from the store.
I played this game a lot on the Xbox and very much enjoyed it and tbh the £16 for what you get and the head start it gives you is a bargain IMO.
There are ways of getting gold for free. From doing challenges to building a radio tower in your base and getting gold daily.
I like the gameplay because it's simple. 1 type of bullet for your gun and several different grades of bullet. You don't have to heal different parts of yourself, you just use a Bandage or another type of med and heal different amounts. I also never feel cheated in the game, if I get killed it's because I got outplayed

It was a better time in the launch era. Unchecked cheaters killed console alongside logical moves like. Rendering all optics from max range marksmen magnifyers to the red dot emit an actual disco ball glint like a strobe light in any form of aiming.

i was playing on my switch got in a gunfight won then realised there is no heal button and the airdrop makes no sense because when u pick it up it gives instant overtime radiation and snce there are no cars u 100% die getting to the extraction site
There's definitely heals,unless u didn't bring any along.and the airdrop is radioactive only when players use the comm stations to make it so.

check back here in a couple months when your shelter progress is COMPLETELY THROTTLED and you still haven't found any new weapon blue prints unless u pay more n more. As you progress more and invest more time into it thats when the curtains finally get pulled back into what the game really is. You will be upset at any time and money u put into it in the end. Thhis is coming from experience also on ps5. The game died for a reason and is now relaunching on pc to try n get a new audience, till they start telling them no as well and refuse to make any changes or improvements.

The game will try to get you hooked then THROTTLE EVERYTHING to get you to spend real money on crowns and charge u 10$-20$ EACH & for a hat or gloves or 30$ for ONE WEAPON blue print.... The devs dont listen they dont make improvements and flat out tell the community NO; on implementing changes, and their excuse is they do not want to compete w their sister company and game day z. The amount of PREDATORY TACTICS & MICROTRANSACTIONS is RIDICULOUS! They make UBISOFT & BLIZZARD look like ANGELS! ie. In TDM mode they ONLY allow preset classes which THEY CHOOSE FOR YOU, and they all usually suck except one of them. This makes the whole team compete to be the first to choose that class... the other classes often suck so bad to the point its unplayable, but WAIT YOU CAN PAY **REAL MONEY** to buy class tickets so the entire team can pay to use the 1 class that is good since its only 1 player per class unless u pay. When the game originally launched it was fantastic on console. you were only given good gear thru drops and looting. basically, play the game, get better stuff.
