Love the Mooncat nail polish colours. Fern, you are the perfect nail/hand model. Your nails are so lovely and when adorned with polish, its like WOW!!! Loved seeing Olive and Cadence in their matching Christmas dog sweaters. Super cute!!! Always love watching the dogs go for a walk through the "Twilight vibes" forest. It looks and feels better when any plant surface and plants are clean. The weed you pulled out of the garden, looks like a dandelion. You can actually, eat the leaves. Put them in salads. I have done it, but they are very bitter. Dandelions are a good diuretic.
Boy did I need this today. On the phone three hours trying to straighten a scam out. My nerves are shot but video will calm me down. Always does. You look beautiful today! Thank you.
I was doing some planty chores, decided to take a break. Made an iced matcha latte and thought, what would make this perfect is if Fern dropped a new video and boom! 💥 perfection Love a good deep clean, so satisfying. Great video, a little of this, little of that. Damn, you were productive. Well done! Thanks again for your time. Always enjoyable 🌿✨ *sending good camera vibes
OMG! Those matching sweaters on Olive and Cadence were too cute. I need to find some sweater for my little guy for winter. He only has t shirts. Hut I think k he needs something warmer for him.
Good morning Fern! I hope you’re doing so well. I was in such a rut yesterday and I put on your videos all day while I got my life together and cleaned my apartment and did all the chores. Thanks so much for your realistic, cozy and motivating videos, you have no idea how helpful they are! I literally have a cart full of mooncat polishes for myself and for Xmas gifts, I’m so excited for the sale!! I’m currently wearing “Stumped” and I was so surprised by how much I love it. Definitely recommend if you’re a fellow lover of fall leaf colors! I think you’ve convinced me to get forbidden fruit 👀 I hope you have the most amazing day and that yall stay safe and cozy🧡🧡🧡
Good day Fern, glad to hear from you after the storms. We got some light snow in mid Ohio, my raised beds are covered in plastic, low tunnel-style. My winter crops are nice and toasty, protected under there. At least, so far....once the temps really drop (frequently into the teens and sometimes, tho rarely, down to -10'f in late winter) I expect the only things surviving to be the alliums and maybe the carrots. I've pulled carrots out before in January. I love my indoor garden so much, but the outdoor garden is a special kind of blessing. I have found that I really enjoy the cold season outside gardening than the sweltering summer gardening. I'm super interested in your Lettuce Grow, that thing seems like it has SO MANY possibilities! Great video, as usual. Thankful for you, hope that camera fix is swift and easy.
This is so cozy!! BC is so beautiful. I always use the soup take out containers. Not only do the lids make great saucers; the bowls are handy to bottom water, little repots and store small amounts of mix. They also make good propagation vessels if you don't have a lot of props.
Congrats on the sponsorship! And for anyone who hasn't tried Mooncat polish, they are soooo pretty and a really nice consistency--not so runny that you mess up easily, but not too thick to go on smoothly.
Love your nail polish. And that black self watering pole. I need that kind of think I only have 2 mosspoles and i hate watering them when they get dried out. I love going outdoors and playing on yhe dirt. It is so relaxing and feels so good to get that stuff accomplished and being on the sunlight just boosts my mood. Ive noticed during the darker months im more sadder and cry alot. The girls were happy playing outside. I love where you live. Its so peaceful. Love nature.
Such a nice & chilled video, as usual. Plus Cadence snoring was so lovely, I rewound it to listen again haha. One of my cats snores too, A LOT! Thank you for being you Fern 🌿🌿🪴🪴💚💚
IM SO EXCITED the way my 4 year old and I are getting ready to eat our tofu tacos and catch up on the latest wild fern is giving CHILL PLANTY VIBES darling 🌱✨
I just placed my first Mooncat order fully inspired by your love for this brand and the fab nails you are always flaunting. It was a splurge for me but coming on to TH-cam immediately after to find this sponsored video is my confirmation from the universe.
Hoya villosa is my favourite hoya. I bought it with two longer branches and since I let it go on the trellis, it's been growing like crazy! I was a bit worried whether by putting the branches to the trellis I would harm her but she lets go leaf after leaf. I love it! I use anything that fits under the pot as a saucer, and I have most of my plants in small/medium pots and I HATE it when the saucer is three sizes larger. You can't find small ones anywhere.
I love the plant hacks! I would never have thought to make cuts to squeeze a nursery pot into a cover pot. The other thing I do with pho containers is keep for props - I prop most of my Hoya in soil so use the pho containers as a little greenhouse :)
I think it’s called procrastination lol 37:27 I’ve never been able to do small tasks. I always do a huge thing, sometimes getting it done and other times more so moving things around 😂
Hi fern! I rmb in another video you saying you didn’t want to buy more of those plastic saucers- I’ve been having fun using glass / crystal dishware from the thrift store for mine. It’s really affordable on days when your local thrift has 50% off sales.
For the takeout lid saucer, you can use acetone to remove the permanent marker, if it bothers you. Love seeing your walk with the girls! So cute! Thank you for the pot hack, I’m definitely going to do that for a few pots.
haha i'm suprised it took you this long to realize you can reuse the take out containers 😅 i also use the actual containers as plant pots. the shallow/wide ones are good for prop boxes and plants with shallow roots like succulents. the deeper, cup style ones are great for all my other plants n the lid is the saucer. i just use a sodering tool to burn hole in the bottom. sometimes i even use a piece of cord to add a wick to make them self watering n just put a shorter one inside a taller one. AND they're usually all clear! when i tell you, i never buy nursery pots anymore
tons of my plants are in takeout/yogurt container "nursery pots" - I just hadn't thought of using the large lids as saucers for medium sized plants! often they're not the right style (too flat and full of ridges) but the pho ones are shaped perfectly 🤌 thanks for watching 🫶
I recently moved my new plants out of my bedrooms. The were ficus and Hoyas. And my bedrooms down to 55 at night and only about 62 in the day. The heater doesn’t warm my bedroom very much. It’ll be 73 in-the living room so I’m buying a space heater for my bedroom for the plants. I don’t sleep in there I sleep in my living room recliner.
Totally needed this today. Got in a single car accident this morning. My Prius is totaled. Had to deal with doctor insurance and all the things that go with it. So down time and enjoying your video 💜💜💜
Mine was in English like always 😊 I was listening 'is that Cadence's sleepy snores' before you pointed it out 🥰 great clean up of the shelf! I went around and wrote down which plants I need to water tomorrow while watching. Thanks for the inspo 💚
Girl that vangviengiensis is loving her life! 😱😍 it’s literally nicer than mine and making me want to restart from a cutting because that one grew so fast and beautiful
The number of people that couldn't tell that the language dubbing & subtitle issue was a TH-cam error, is alarming. I didn't have any issues with the audio or subtitles. It's been happening to multiple TH-camrs lately though 😢 Hopefully they can figure out what the issue is and stop it from happening!

I often go to thrift shops and look for old glass/crystal plates that have an edge around them and use for sources, they are so cheap. Thank you for this relaxing video, for me anyway, for you it was a lot of work! 💚💚🌿🪴
Thank you, thank you, thank you! Perfect timing for this video. I needed a break from shoveling over a foot of snow here in NE PA. Love the matching doggie sweaters and sorry about your camera.
I placed my first mooncat order earlier today🎉❤ to Poland😅 just couldn't resist no more. Was looking for something similar more locally but failed. They are really unique, Im so excited!!
I’ve started washing my pots in the dishwasher. The four inch saucers can’t go, they are a cheap clear plastic that becomes foggy and warped. Some I’ve had to throw away.
@ so far my dish washer has handled the dirt. I knock all excess dirt out and rinse text. Then the dishwasher handles it and they are clean as a whistle. 😗
I keep all my takeout containers to use as saucers or plant pots if I don’t need to reuse them! Some lids have holes on them though, or are flat so I don’t get to use the lids as much
The only drawback to commenting right away is that I have so many other comments along the way 😅 Olive's sweater is the cutest thing! Also, my one and only ping is starting to bloom 🥹🥹🥹 it was labled as "carnivorous mix" 🙄 so idk what species it is, but I'm excited to see the bloom! Both for the beauty of it and to hopefully identify it too 🫰🏽💚
Since you love gardening outdoors too, have you considered planting sections of native plants in your yard? If you haven’t already, I think you’d REALLY enjoy researching different native plants for your region and when they bloom and such. Dedicating an area to native plants in your yard can create habitats for wildlife, and most importantly, insects like butterflies!
And not that you’re not already busy but it could be a fun winter/early spring project because most species native to temeperate/colder climates require some cold exposure to germinate. If you’re interested but need resources, I’d love to chat about it!
Lots of work! Love your vlog style videos. I’m so sorry about the camera, but I guess on the bright side, most of the filming for this video was complete, ehh, still sucks. So glad that Mooncat is sponsoring. They are a great brand, lovely polish, I might have to scope out the BF sale 👀
Yep, I’m such an all or nothing person when it comes to tasks. I don’t ever want to do a project unless I can go all-in and finish it, even though I could make it easier on myself tackling it little by little. That’s just not my mode of operation 😅

awe yes it's so fun to dress them up matching haha!
@ I just ordered some Christmas sweaters for my dig to bc wear. Warmer than the regular t shirts he normally wears.
@14:47 I use everything for plant saucers as well. I even use the plastic lid from grocery store cakes as a reservoir for large semihydro plants!

Cadence snoring!😂 she’s living her best life!
She truly is haha 😆

Those weeks are dandelions, they are great greens for salads (though bitter) and the roots can be dried and roasted for rootbeer or coffee
Came here for this comment, so thank you.
Getting past the idea that I have to do all the things completely has helped me a lot too. A little here and there goes a long way! 🤗 Ferntastic

Ooooo feeling so lucky it's like we've been gifted two vlogs in one weeks
The straw will also help suppress weeds so you don't have tons of weeding to do before you plant in the spring!

Just what I needed! 😊
I'm doing planty chores today too, so I have company now 😂❤
The forest is so beautiful, looks prehistoric!
That nursery pot hack is brilliant!
right!! so happy I saw that haha
Literally. I’m looking around my living room and every single nursery pot is sticking out above the cover pot lmao
